א1 לַמְנַצֵּחַ לְדָוִד מִזְמוֹר אֱלֹהֵי תְהִלָּתִי אַֽל־תֶּחֱרַֽשׁ׃ lamnatzecha ledavid mizmor Elohei tehilati al-techerashFor the Leader. A Psalm of David. O G-d of my praise, keep not silence; ב2 כִּי פִי רָשָׁע וּֽפִי־מִרְמָה עָלַי פָּתָחוּ דִּבְּרוּ אִתִּי לְשׁוֹן שָֽׁקֶר׃ ki fi rasha ufi-mirmah alay patachu diberu iti leshon shakerFor the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit have they opened against me; they have spoken unto me with a lying tongue. ג3 וְדִבְרֵי שִׂנְאָה סְבָבוּנִי וַיִּֽלָּחֲמוּנִי חִנָּֽם׃ vedivrei sinah sevavuni vayilachamuni chinamThey compassed me about also with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause. ד4 תַּֽחַת־אַהֲבָתִי יִשְׂטְנוּנִי וַאֲנִי תְפִלָּֽה׃ tachat-ahavati yistnuni vaani tefilahIn return for my love they are my adversaries; but I am all prayer. ה5 וַיָּשִׂימוּ עָלַי רָעָה תַּחַת טוֹבָה וְשִׂנְאָה תַּחַת אַהֲבָתִֽי׃ vayasimu alay raah tachat tovah vesinah tachat ahavatiAnd they have laid upon me evil for good, and hatred for my love: ו6 הַפְקֵד עָלָיו רָשָׁע וְשָׂטָן יַעֲמֹד עַל־יְמִינֽוֹ׃ hafked alayv rasha vesatan yaamod al-yemino'Set Thou a wicked man over him; and let an adversary stand at his right hand. ז7 בְּהִשָּׁפְטוֹ יֵצֵא רָשָׁע וּתְפִלָּתוֹ תִּהְיֶה לַֽחֲטָאָֽה׃ behishafeto yetze rasha utfilato tiheyeh lachataahWhen he is judged, let him go forth condemned; and let his prayer be turned into sin. ח8 יִֽהְיֽוּ־יָמָיו מְעַטִּים פְּקֻדָּתוֹ יִקַּח אַחֵֽר׃ yihyu-yamayv meatim pekudato yikach acherLet his days be few; let another take his charge. ט9 יִֽהְיוּ־בָנָיו יְתוֹמִים וְאִשְׁתּוֹ אַלְמָנָֽה׃ yihyu-vanayv yetomim veishto almanahLet his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow. י10 וְנוֹעַ יָנוּעוּ בָנָיו וְשִׁאֵלוּ וְדָרְשׁוּ מֵחָרְבוֹתֵיהֶֽם׃ venoa yanuu vanayv veshielu vedarshu mecharvoteihemLet his children be vagabonds, and beg; and let them seek their bread out of their desolate places. יא11 יְנַקֵּשׁ נוֹשֶׁה לְכָל־אֲשֶׁר־לוֹ וְיָבֹזּוּ זָרִים יְגִיעֽוֹ׃ yenakesh nosheh lekhal-asher-lo veyavozu zarim yegiyoLet the creditor distrain all that he hath; and let strangers make spoil of his labour. יב12 אַל־יְהִי־לוֹ מֹשֵׁךְ חָסֶד וְֽאַל־יְהִי חוֹנֵן לִיתוֹמָֽיו׃ al-yehi-lo moshekh chased veal-yehi chonen litomayvLet there be none to extend kindness unto him; neither let there be any to be gracious unto his fatherless children. יג13 יְהִֽי־אַחֲרִיתוֹ לְהַכְרִית בְּדוֹר אַחֵר יִמַּח שְׁמָֽם׃ yehi-acharito lehakhrit bedor acher yimach shemamLet his posterity be cut off; in the generation following let their name be blotted out. יד14 יִזָּכֵר ׀ עֲוֺן אֲבֹתָיו אֶל־יְיָ וְחַטַּאת אִמּוֹ אַל־תִּמָּֽח׃ yizakher ׀ aon avotayv el-Adonai vechatat imo al-timachLet the iniquity of his fathers be brought to remembrance unto HaShem; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out. טו15 יִהְיוּ נֶֽגֶד־יְיָ תָּמִיד וְיַכְרֵת מֵאֶרֶץ זִכְרָֽם׃ yihyu neged-Adonai tamid veyakhret meeretz zikhramLet them be before HaShem continually, that He may cut off the memory of them from the earth. טז16 יַעַן אֲשֶׁר ׀ לֹא זָכַר עֲשׂוֹת חָסֶד וַיִּרְדֹּף אִישׁ־עָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן וְנִכְאֵה לֵבָב לְמוֹתֵֽת׃ yaan asher ׀ lo zakhar asot chased vayiredof ish-ani veevyon venikheh levav lemotetBecause that he remembered not to do kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, and the broken in heart he was ready to slay. יז17 וַיֶּאֱהַב קְלָלָה וַתְּבוֹאֵהוּ וְֽלֹא־חָפֵץ בִּבְרָכָה וַתִּרְחַק מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ vayeehav kelalah vatvoehu velo-chafetz biverakhah vatirechak mimenuYea, he loved cursing, and it came unto him; and he delighted not in blessing, and it is far from him. יח18 וַיִּלְבַּשׁ קְלָלָה כְּמַדּוֹ וַתָּבֹא כַמַּיִם בְּקִרְבּוֹ וְכַשֶּׁמֶן בְּעַצְמוֹתָֽיו׃ vayilebash kelalah kemado vatavo khamayim bekirbo vekhashemen beatzmotayvHe clothed himself also with cursing as with his raiment, and it is come into his inward parts like water, and like oil into his bones. יט19 תְּהִי־לוֹ כְּבֶגֶד יַעְטֶה וּלְמֵזַח תָּמִיד יַחְגְּרֶֽהָ׃ tehi-lo keveged yateh ulmezach tamid yachgrehaLet it be unto him as the garment which he putteth on, and for the girdle wherewith he is girded continually.' כ20 זֹאת פְּעֻלַּת שֹׂטְנַי מֵאֵת יְיָ וְהַדֹּבְרִים רָע עַל־נַפְשִֽׁי׃ zot peulat sotnay meet Adonai vehadoverim ra al-nafshiThis would mine adversaries effect from HaShem, and they that speak evil against my soul. כא21 וְאַתָּה ׀ יְהוִה אֲדֹנָי עֲֽשֵׂה־אִתִּי לְמַעַן שְׁמֶךָ כִּי־טוֹב חַסְדְּךָ הַצִּילֵֽנִי׃ veatah ׀ Adonai Adonai aseh-iti lemaan shemekha ki-tov chasdkha hatzileniBut Thou, O GOD the L-rd, deal with me for Thy name's sake; because Thy mercy is good, deliver Thou me. כב22 כִּֽי־עָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן אָנֹכִי וְלִבִּי חָלַל בְּקִרְבִּֽי׃ ki-ani veevyon anokhi velibi chalal bekirbiFor I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me. כג23 כְּצֵל־כִּנְטוֹתוֹ נֶהֱלָכְתִּי נִנְעַרְתִּי כָּֽאַרְבֶּֽה׃ ketzel-kinetoto nehelakhti ninarti kaarbehI am gone like the shadow when it lengtheneth; I am shaken off as the locust. כד24 בִּרְכַּי כָּשְׁלוּ מִצּוֹם וּבְשָׂרִי כָּחַשׁ מִשָּֽׁמֶן׃ birekay kashelu mitzom uvsari kachash mishamenMy knees totter through fasting; and my flesh is lean, and hath no fatness. כה25 וַאֲנִי ׀ הָיִיתִי חֶרְפָּה לָהֶם יִרְאוּנִי יְנִיעוּן רֹאשָֽׁם׃ vaani ׀ hayiti cherpah lahem yiruni yeniyun roshamI am become also a taunt unto them; when they see me, they shake their head. כו26 עָזְרֵנִי יְיָ אֱלֹהָי הוֹשִׁיעֵנִי כְחַסְדֶּֽךָ׃ azreni Adonai elohay hoshiyeni khechasdekhaHelp me, O HaShem my G-d; O save me according to Thy mercy; כז27 וְֽיֵדְעוּ כִּי־יָדְךָ זֹּאת אַתָּה יְיָ עֲשִׂיתָֽהּ׃ veyedu ki-yadkha zot atah Adonai asitahThat they may know that this is Thy hand; that Thou, HaShem, hast done it. כח28 יְקַֽלְלוּ־הֵמָּה וְאַתָּה תְבָרֵךְ קָמוּ ׀ וַיֵּבֹשׁוּ וְֽעַבְדְּךָ יִשְׂמָֽח׃ yekallu-hemah veatah tevarekh kamu ׀ vayevoshu veavdkha yismachLet them curse, but bless Thou; when they arise, they shall be put to shame, but Thy servant shall rejoice. כט29 יִלְבְּשׁוּ שׂוֹטְנַי כְּלִמָּה וְיַעֲטוּ כַמְעִיל בָּשְׁתָּֽם׃ yilbshu sotnay kelimah veyaatu khamil bashetamMine adversaries shall be clothed with confusion, and shall put on their own shame as a robe. ל30 אוֹדֶה יְיָ מְאֹד בְּפִי וּבְתוֹךְ רַבִּים אֲהַֽלְלֶֽנּוּ׃ odeh Adonai meod befi uvtokh rabim ahallenuI will give great thanks unto HaShem with my mouth; yea, I will praise Him among the multitude; לא31 כִּֽי־יַעֲמֹד לִימִין אֶבְיוֹן לְהוֹשִׁיעַ מִשֹּׁפְטֵי נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃ ki-yaamod limin evyon lehoshiya mishofetei nafshoBecause He standeth at the right hand of the needy, to save him from them that judge his soul.
