א1 הֹדוּ לַיהוָה כִּי־טוֹב כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ hodu layhvah ki-tov ki leolam chasdo'O give thanks unto HaShem, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever.' ב2 יֹאמְרוּ גְּאוּלֵי יְיָ אֲשֶׁר גְּאָלָם מִיַּד־צָֽר׃ yomru geulei Adonai asher gealam miyad-tzarSo let the redeemed of HaShem say, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary; ג3 וּֽמֵאֲרָצוֹת קִבְּצָם מִמִּזְרָח וּמִֽמַּעֲרָב מִצָּפוֹן וּמִיָּֽם׃ umearatzot kibtzam mimizerach umimaarav mitzafon umiyamAnd gathered them out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the sea. ד4 תָּעוּ בַמִּדְבָּר בִּישִׁימוֹן דָּרֶךְ עִיר מוֹשָׁב לֹא מָצָֽאוּ׃ tau vamidebar bishimon darekh ir moshav lo matzauThey wandered in the wilderness in a desert way; they found no city of habitation. ה5 רְעֵבִים גַּם־צְמֵאִים נַפְשָׁם בָּהֶם תִּתְעַטָּֽף׃ reevim gam-tzemeim nafsham bahem titeatafHungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. ו6 וַיִּצְעֲקוּ אֶל־יְיָ בַּצַּר לָהֶם מִמְּצֽוּקוֹתֵיהֶם יַצִּילֵֽם׃ vayitzeaku el-Adonai batzar lahem mimtzukoteihem yatzilemThen they cried unto HaShem in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses. ז7 וַיַּֽדְרִיכֵם בְּדֶרֶךְ יְשָׁרָה לָלֶכֶת אֶל־עִיר מוֹשָֽׁב׃ vayaderikhem bederekh yesharah lalekhet el-ir moshavAnd He led them by a straight way, that they might go to a city of habitation. ח8 יוֹדוּ לַיהוָה חַסְדּוֹ וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָֽם׃ yodu layhvah chasdo veniflotayv livnei adamLet them give thanks unto HaShem for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! ט9 כִּי־הִשְׂבִּיעַ נֶפֶשׁ שֹׁקֵקָה וְנֶפֶשׁ רְעֵבָה מִלֵּא־טֽוֹב׃ ki-hisbiya nefesh shokekah venefesh reevah mile-tovFor He hath satisfied the longing soul, and the hungry soul He hath filled with good. י10 יֹשְׁבֵי חֹשֶׁךְ וְצַלְמָוֶת אֲסִירֵי עֳנִי וּבַרְזֶֽל׃ yoshvei choshekh vetzalmavet asirei oni uvarzelSuch as sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron-- יא11 כִּֽי־הִמְרוּ אִמְרֵי־אֵל וַעֲצַת עֶלְיוֹן נָאָֽצוּ׃ ki-himru imrei-el vaatzat elyon naatzuBecause they rebelled against the words of G-d, and contemned the counsel of the Most High. יב12 וַיַּכְנַע בֶּעָמָל לִבָּם כָּשְׁלוּ וְאֵין עֹזֵֽר׃ vayakhena beamal libam kashelu veein ozerTherefore He humbled their heart with travail, they stumbled, and there was none to help-- יג13 וַיִּזְעֲקוּ אֶל־יְיָ בַּצַּר לָהֶם מִמְּצֻֽקוֹתֵיהֶם יוֹשִׁיעֵֽם׃ vayizeaku el-Adonai batzar lahem mimtzukoteihem yoshiyemThey cried unto HaShem in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. יד14 יֽוֹצִיאֵם מֵחֹשֶׁךְ וְצַלְמָוֶת וּמוֹסְרוֹתֵיהֶם יְנַתֵּֽק׃ yotziyem mechoshekh vetzalmavet umosroteihem yenatekHe brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bands in sunder. טו15 יוֹדוּ לַיהוָה חַסְדּוֹ וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָֽם׃ yodu layhvah chasdo veniflotayv livnei adamLet them give thanks unto HaShem for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! טז16 כִּֽי־שִׁבַּר דַּלְתוֹת נְחֹשֶׁת וּבְרִיחֵי בַרְזֶל גִּדֵּֽעַ׃ ki-shibar daletot nechoshet uvrichei varzel gideaFor He hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder. יז17 אֱוִלִים מִדֶּרֶךְ פִּשְׁעָם וּֽמֵעֲוֺֽנֹתֵיהֶם יִתְעַנּֽוּ׃ evilim miderekh pisheam umeaonoteihem yitanuCrazed because of the way of their transgression, and afflicted because of their iniquities-- יח18 כָּל־אֹכֶל תְּתַעֵב נַפְשָׁם וַיַּגִּיעוּ עַד־שַׁעֲרֵי מָֽוֶת׃ kal-okhel tetaev nafsham vayagiyu ad-shaarei mavetTheir soul abhorred all manner of food, and they drew near unto the gates of death-- יט19 וַיִּזְעֲקוּ אֶל־יְיָ בַּצַּר לָהֶם מִמְּצֻֽקוֹתֵיהֶם יוֹשִׁיעֵֽם׃ vayizeaku el-Adonai batzar lahem mimtzukoteihem yoshiyemThey cried unto HaShem in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses; כ20 יִשְׁלַח דְּבָרוֹ וְיִרְפָּאֵם וִֽימַלֵּט מִשְּׁחִיתוֹתָֽם׃ yishlach devaro veyirpaem vimalet mishchitotamHe sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their graves. כא21 יוֹדוּ לַיהוָה חַסְדּוֹ וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָֽם׃ yodu layhvah chasdo veniflotayv livnei adamLet them give thanks unto HaShem for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! כב22 וְיִזְבְּחוּ זִבְחֵי תוֹדָה וִֽיסַפְּרוּ מַעֲשָׂיו בְּרִנָּֽה׃ veyizbchu zivchei todah visapru maasayv berinahAnd let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with singing. כג23 יוֹרְדֵי הַיָּם בָּאֳנִיּוֹת עֹשֵׂי מְלָאכָה בְּמַיִם רַבִּֽים׃ yordei hayam baoniyot osei melakhah bemayim rabimThey that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters-- כד24 הֵמָּה רָאוּ מַעֲשֵׂי יְיָ וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו בִּמְצוּלָֽה׃ hemah rau maasei Adonai veniflotayv bimetzulahThese saw the works of HaShem, and His wonders in the deep; כה25 וַיֹּאמֶר וַֽיַּעֲמֵד רוּחַ סְעָרָה וַתְּרוֹמֵם גַּלָּֽיו׃ vayomer vayaamed rucha searah vatromem galayvFor He commanded, and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves thereof; כו26 יַעֲלוּ שָׁמַיִם יֵרְדוּ תְהוֹמוֹת נַפְשָׁם בְּרָעָה תִתְמוֹגָֽג׃ yaalu shamayim yerdu tehomot nafsham beraah titmogagThey mounted up to the heaven, they went down to the deeps; their soul melted away because of trouble; כז27 יָחוֹגּוּ וְיָנוּעוּ כַּשִּׁכּוֹר וְכָל־חָכְמָתָם תִּתְבַּלָּֽע׃ yachogu veyanuu kashikor vekhal-chakhmatam titebalaThey reeled to and fro, and staggered like a drunken man, and all their wisdom was swallowed up-- כח28 וַיִּצְעֲקוּ אֶל־יְיָ בַּצַּר לָהֶם וּֽמִמְּצֽוּקֹתֵיהֶם יוֹצִיאֵֽם׃ vayitzeaku el-Adonai batzar lahem umimtzukoteihem yotziyemThey cried unto HaShem in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distresses. כט29 יָקֵם סְעָרָה לִדְמָמָה וַיֶּחֱשׁוּ גַּלֵּיהֶֽם׃ yakem searah lidmamah vayecheshu galeihemHe made the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof were still. ל30 וַיִּשְׂמְחוּ כִֽי־יִשְׁתֹּקוּ וַיַּנְחֵם אֶל־מְחוֹז חֶפְצָֽם׃ vayisemchu khi-yishtoku vayanechem el-mechoz cheftzamThen were they glad because they were quiet, and He led them unto their desired haven. לא31 יוֹדוּ לַיהוָה חַסְדּוֹ וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָֽם׃ yodu layhvah chasdo veniflotayv livnei adamLet them give thanks unto HaShem for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! לב32 וִֽירֹמְמוּהוּ בִּקְהַל־עָם וּבְמוֹשַׁב זְקֵנִים יְהַלְלֽוּהוּ׃ virommuhu bikehal-am uvmoshav zekenim yehalluhuLet them exalt Him also in the assembly of the people, and praise Him in the seat of the elders. לג33 יָשֵׂם נְהָרוֹת לְמִדְבָּר וּמֹצָאֵי מַיִם לְצִמָּאֽוֹן׃ yasem neharot lemidbar umotzaei mayim letzimaonHe turneth rivers into a wilderness, and watersprings into a thirsty ground; לד34 אֶרֶץ פְּרִי לִמְלֵחָה מֵרָעַת יֹשְׁבֵי בָֽהּ׃ eretz peri limlechah meraat yoshvei vahA fruitful land into a salt waste, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein. לה35 יָשֵׂם מִדְבָּר לַֽאֲגַם־מַיִם וְאֶרֶץ צִיָּה לְמֹצָאֵי מָֽיִם׃ yasem midbar laagam-mayim veeretz tziyah lemotzaei mayimHe turneth a wilderness into a pool of water, and a dry land into watersprings. לו36 וַיּוֹשֶׁב שָׁם רְעֵבִים וַיְכוֹנְנוּ עִיר מוֹשָֽׁב׃ vayoshev sham reevim vaykhonnu ir moshavAnd there He maketh the hungry to dwell, and they establish a city of habitation; לז37 וַיִּזְרְעוּ שָׂדוֹת וַיִּטְּעוּ כְרָמִים וַיַּעֲשׂוּ פְּרִי תְבֽוּאָה׃ vayizeru sadot vayiteu kheramim vayaasu peri tevuahAnd sow fields, and plant vineyards, which yield fruits of increase. לח38 וַיְבָרֲכֵם וַיִּרְבּוּ מְאֹד וּבְהֶמְתָּם לֹא יַמְעִֽיט׃ vayvarakhem vayirebu meod uvhemtam lo yamitHe blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly, and suffereth not their cattle to decrease. לט39 וַיִּמְעֲטוּ וַיָּשֹׁחוּ מֵעֹצֶר רָעָה וְיָגֽוֹן׃ vayimeatu vayashochu meotzer raah veyagonAgain, they are minished and dwindle away through oppression of evil and sorrow. מ40 שֹׁפֵךְ בּוּז עַל־נְדִיבִים וַיַּתְעֵם בְּתֹהוּ לֹא־דָֽרֶךְ׃ shofekh buz al-nedivim vayateem betohu lo-darekhHe poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the waste, where there is no way. מא41 וַיְשַׂגֵּב אֶבְיוֹן מֵעוֹנִי וַיָּשֶׂם כַּצֹּאן מִשְׁפָּחֽוֹת׃ vaysagev evyon meoni vayasem katzon mishpachotYet setteth He the needy on high from affliction, and maketh his families like a flock. מב42 יִרְאוּ יְשָׁרִים וְיִשְׂמָחוּ וְכָל־עַוְלָה קָפְצָה פִּֽיהָ׃ yiru yesharim veyismachu vekhal-avlah kaftzah pihaThe upright see it, and are glad; and all iniquity stoppeth her mouth. מג43 מִי־חָכָם וְיִשְׁמָר־אֵלֶּה וְיִתְבּֽוֹנְנוּ חַֽסְדֵי יְהוָֽה׃ mi-chakham veyishmar-eleh veyitbonnu chasdei AdonaiWhoso is wise, let him observe these things, and let them consider the mercies of HaShem.

א1 שִׁיר מִזְמוֹר לְדָוִֽד׃ shir mizmor ledavidA Song, a Psalm of David. ב2 נָכוֹן לִבִּי אֱלֹהִים אָשִׁירָה וַאֲזַמְּרָה אַף־כְּבוֹדִֽי׃ nakhon libi Elohim ashirah vaazamrah af-kevodiMy heart is steadfast, O G-d; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises, even with my glory. ג3 עוּרָֽה הַנֵּבֶל וְכִנּוֹר אָעִירָה שָּֽׁחַר׃ urah hanevel vekhinor airah shacharAwake, psaltery and harp; I will awake the dawn. ד4 אוֹדְךָ בָעַמִּים ׀ יְיָ וַאֲזַמֶּרְךָ בַּל־אֻמִּֽים׃ odkha vaamim ׀ Adonai vaazamerekha bal-umimI will give thanks unto Thee, O HaShem, among the peoples; and I will sing praises unto Thee among the nations. ה5 כִּֽי־גָדוֹל מֵֽעַל־שָׁמַיִם חַסְדֶּךָ וְֽעַד־שְׁחָקִים אֲמִתֶּֽךָ׃ ki-gadol meal-shamayim chasdekha vead-shechakim amitekhaFor Thy mercy is great above the heavens, and Thy truth reacheth unto the skies. ו6 רוּמָה עַל־שָׁמַיִם אֱלֹהִים וְעַל כָּל־הָאָרֶץ כְּבוֹדֶֽךָ׃ rumah al-shamayim Elohim veal kal-haaretz kevodekhaBe Thou exalted, O G-d, above the heavens; and Thy glory be above all the earth. ז7 לְמַעַן יֵחָלְצוּן יְדִידֶיךָ הוֹשִׁיעָה יְמִֽינְךָ וַעֲנֵֽנִי׃ lemaan yechaltzun yedideikha hoshiyah yeminkha vaaneniThat Thy beloved may be delivered, save with Thy right hand, and answer me. ח8 אֱלֹהִים ׀ דִּבֶּר בְּקָדְשׁוֹ אֶעְלֹזָה אֲחַלְּקָה שְׁכֶם וְעֵמֶק סֻכּוֹת אֲמַדֵּֽד׃ Elohim ׀ diber bekadsho elozah achalkah shekhem veemek sukot amadedG-d spoke in His holiness, that I would exult; that I would divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth. ט9 לִי גִלְעָד ׀ לִי מְנַשֶּׁה וְאֶפְרַיִם מָעוֹז רֹאשִׁי יְהוּדָה מְחֹקְקִֽי׃ li gilad ׀ li menasheh veefrayim maoz roshi yehudah mechokkiGilead is mine, Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the defence of my head; Judah is my sceptre. י10 מוֹאָב ׀ סִיר רַחְצִי עַל־אֱדוֹם אַשְׁלִיךְ נַעֲלִי עֲלֵֽי־פְלֶשֶׁת אֶתְרוֹעָֽע׃ moav ׀ sir rachtzi al-edom ashlikh naali alei-feleshet etroaMoab is my washpot; upon Edom do I cast my shoe; over Philistia do I cry aloud. יא11 מִי יֹבִלֵנִי עִיר מִבְצָר מִי נָחַנִי עַד־אֱדֽוֹם׃ mi yovileni ir mivtzar mi nachani ad-edomWho will bring me into the fortified city? Who will lead me unto Edom? יב12 הֲלֹֽא־אֱלֹהִים זְנַחְתָּנוּ וְֽלֹא־תֵצֵא אֱלֹהִים בְּצִבְאֹתֵֽינוּ׃ halo-Elohim zenachtanu velo-tetze Elohim betzivoteinuHast not Thou cast us off, O G-d? and Thou goest not forth, O G-d, with our hosts? יג13 הָֽבָה־לָּנוּ עֶזְרָת מִצָּר וְשָׁוְא תְּשׁוּעַת אָדָֽם׃ havah-lanu ezrat mitzar veshav teshuat adamGive us help against the adversary; for vain is the help of man. יד14 בֵּֽאלֹהִים נַעֲשֶׂה־חָיִל וְהוּא יָבוּס צָרֵֽינוּ׃ belohim naaseh-chayil vehu yavus tzareinuThrough G-d we shall do valiantly; for He it is that will tread down our adversaries.

א1 לַמְנַצֵּחַ לְדָוִד מִזְמוֹר אֱלֹהֵי תְהִלָּתִי אַֽל־תֶּחֱרַֽשׁ׃ lamnatzecha ledavid mizmor Elohei tehilati al-techerashFor the Leader. A Psalm of David. O G-d of my praise, keep not silence; ב2 כִּי פִי רָשָׁע וּֽפִי־מִרְמָה עָלַי פָּתָחוּ דִּבְּרוּ אִתִּי לְשׁוֹן שָֽׁקֶר׃ ki fi rasha ufi-mirmah alay patachu diberu iti leshon shakerFor the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit have they opened against me; they have spoken unto me with a lying tongue. ג3 וְדִבְרֵי שִׂנְאָה סְבָבוּנִי וַיִּֽלָּחֲמוּנִי חִנָּֽם׃ vedivrei sinah sevavuni vayilachamuni chinamThey compassed me about also with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause. ד4 תַּֽחַת־אַהֲבָתִי יִשְׂטְנוּנִי וַאֲנִי תְפִלָּֽה׃ tachat-ahavati yistnuni vaani tefilahIn return for my love they are my adversaries; but I am all prayer. ה5 וַיָּשִׂימוּ עָלַי רָעָה תַּחַת טוֹבָה וְשִׂנְאָה תַּחַת אַהֲבָתִֽי׃ vayasimu alay raah tachat tovah vesinah tachat ahavatiAnd they have laid upon me evil for good, and hatred for my love: ו6 הַפְקֵד עָלָיו רָשָׁע וְשָׂטָן יַעֲמֹד עַל־יְמִינֽוֹ׃ hafked alayv rasha vesatan yaamod al-yemino'Set Thou a wicked man over him; and let an adversary stand at his right hand. ז7 בְּהִשָּׁפְטוֹ יֵצֵא רָשָׁע וּתְפִלָּתוֹ תִּהְיֶה לַֽחֲטָאָֽה׃ behishafeto yetze rasha utfilato tiheyeh lachataahWhen he is judged, let him go forth condemned; and let his prayer be turned into sin. ח8 יִֽהְיֽוּ־יָמָיו מְעַטִּים פְּקֻדָּתוֹ יִקַּח אַחֵֽר׃ yihyu-yamayv meatim pekudato yikach acherLet his days be few; let another take his charge. ט9 יִֽהְיוּ־בָנָיו יְתוֹמִים וְאִשְׁתּוֹ אַלְמָנָֽה׃ yihyu-vanayv yetomim veishto almanahLet his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow. י10 וְנוֹעַ יָנוּעוּ בָנָיו וְשִׁאֵלוּ וְדָרְשׁוּ מֵחָרְבוֹתֵיהֶֽם׃ venoa yanuu vanayv veshielu vedarshu mecharvoteihemLet his children be vagabonds, and beg; and let them seek their bread out of their desolate places. יא11 יְנַקֵּשׁ נוֹשֶׁה לְכָל־אֲשֶׁר־לוֹ וְיָבֹזּוּ זָרִים יְגִיעֽוֹ׃ yenakesh nosheh lekhal-asher-lo veyavozu zarim yegiyoLet the creditor distrain all that he hath; and let strangers make spoil of his labour. יב12 אַל־יְהִי־לוֹ מֹשֵׁךְ חָסֶד וְֽאַל־יְהִי חוֹנֵן לִיתוֹמָֽיו׃ al-yehi-lo moshekh chased veal-yehi chonen litomayvLet there be none to extend kindness unto him; neither let there be any to be gracious unto his fatherless children. יג13 יְהִֽי־אַחֲרִיתוֹ לְהַכְרִית בְּדוֹר אַחֵר יִמַּח שְׁמָֽם׃ yehi-acharito lehakhrit bedor acher yimach shemamLet his posterity be cut off; in the generation following let their name be blotted out. יד14 יִזָּכֵר ׀ עֲוֺן אֲבֹתָיו אֶל־יְיָ וְחַטַּאת אִמּוֹ אַל־תִּמָּֽח׃ yizakher ׀ aon avotayv el-Adonai vechatat imo al-timachLet the iniquity of his fathers be brought to remembrance unto HaShem; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out. טו15 יִהְיוּ נֶֽגֶד־יְיָ תָּמִיד וְיַכְרֵת מֵאֶרֶץ זִכְרָֽם׃ yihyu neged-Adonai tamid veyakhret meeretz zikhramLet them be before HaShem continually, that He may cut off the memory of them from the earth. טז16 יַעַן אֲשֶׁר ׀ לֹא זָכַר עֲשׂוֹת חָסֶד וַיִּרְדֹּף אִישׁ־עָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן וְנִכְאֵה לֵבָב לְמוֹתֵֽת׃ yaan asher ׀ lo zakhar asot chased vayiredof ish-ani veevyon venikheh levav lemotetBecause that he remembered not to do kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, and the broken in heart he was ready to slay. יז17 וַיֶּאֱהַב קְלָלָה וַתְּבוֹאֵהוּ וְֽלֹא־חָפֵץ בִּבְרָכָה וַתִּרְחַק מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ vayeehav kelalah vatvoehu velo-chafetz biverakhah vatirechak mimenuYea, he loved cursing, and it came unto him; and he delighted not in blessing, and it is far from him. יח18 וַיִּלְבַּשׁ קְלָלָה כְּמַדּוֹ וַתָּבֹא כַמַּיִם בְּקִרְבּוֹ וְכַשֶּׁמֶן בְּעַצְמוֹתָֽיו׃ vayilebash kelalah kemado vatavo khamayim bekirbo vekhashemen beatzmotayvHe clothed himself also with cursing as with his raiment, and it is come into his inward parts like water, and like oil into his bones. יט19 תְּהִי־לוֹ כְּבֶגֶד יַעְטֶה וּלְמֵזַח תָּמִיד יַחְגְּרֶֽהָ׃ tehi-lo keveged yateh ulmezach tamid yachgrehaLet it be unto him as the garment which he putteth on, and for the girdle wherewith he is girded continually.' כ20 זֹאת פְּעֻלַּת שֹׂטְנַי מֵאֵת יְיָ וְהַדֹּבְרִים רָע עַל־נַפְשִֽׁי׃ zot peulat sotnay meet Adonai vehadoverim ra al-nafshiThis would mine adversaries effect from HaShem, and they that speak evil against my soul. כא21 וְאַתָּה ׀ יְהוִה אֲדֹנָי עֲֽשֵׂה־אִתִּי לְמַעַן שְׁמֶךָ כִּי־טוֹב חַסְדְּךָ הַצִּילֵֽנִי׃ veatah ׀ Adonai Adonai aseh-iti lemaan shemekha ki-tov chasdkha hatzileniBut Thou, O GOD the L-rd, deal with me for Thy name's sake; because Thy mercy is good, deliver Thou me. כב22 כִּֽי־עָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן אָנֹכִי וְלִבִּי חָלַל בְּקִרְבִּֽי׃ ki-ani veevyon anokhi velibi chalal bekirbiFor I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me. כג23 כְּצֵל־כִּנְטוֹתוֹ נֶהֱלָכְתִּי נִנְעַרְתִּי כָּֽאַרְבֶּֽה׃ ketzel-kinetoto nehelakhti ninarti kaarbehI am gone like the shadow when it lengtheneth; I am shaken off as the locust. כד24 בִּרְכַּי כָּשְׁלוּ מִצּוֹם וּבְשָׂרִי כָּחַשׁ מִשָּֽׁמֶן׃ birekay kashelu mitzom uvsari kachash mishamenMy knees totter through fasting; and my flesh is lean, and hath no fatness. כה25 וַאֲנִי ׀ הָיִיתִי חֶרְפָּה לָהֶם יִרְאוּנִי יְנִיעוּן רֹאשָֽׁם׃ vaani ׀ hayiti cherpah lahem yiruni yeniyun roshamI am become also a taunt unto them; when they see me, they shake their head. כו26 עָזְרֵנִי יְיָ אֱלֹהָי הוֹשִׁיעֵנִי כְחַסְדֶּֽךָ׃ azreni Adonai elohay hoshiyeni khechasdekhaHelp me, O HaShem my G-d; O save me according to Thy mercy; כז27 וְֽיֵדְעוּ כִּי־יָדְךָ זֹּאת אַתָּה יְיָ עֲשִׂיתָֽהּ׃ veyedu ki-yadkha zot atah Adonai asitahThat they may know that this is Thy hand; that Thou, HaShem, hast done it. כח28 יְקַֽלְלוּ־הֵמָּה וְאַתָּה תְבָרֵךְ קָמוּ ׀ וַיֵּבֹשׁוּ וְֽעַבְדְּךָ יִשְׂמָֽח׃ yekallu-hemah veatah tevarekh kamu ׀ vayevoshu veavdkha yismachLet them curse, but bless Thou; when they arise, they shall be put to shame, but Thy servant shall rejoice. כט29 יִלְבְּשׁוּ שׂוֹטְנַי כְּלִמָּה וְיַעֲטוּ כַמְעִיל בָּשְׁתָּֽם׃ yilbshu sotnay kelimah veyaatu khamil bashetamMine adversaries shall be clothed with confusion, and shall put on their own shame as a robe. ל30 אוֹדֶה יְיָ מְאֹד בְּפִי וּבְתוֹךְ רַבִּים אֲהַֽלְלֶֽנּוּ׃ odeh Adonai meod befi uvtokh rabim ahallenuI will give great thanks unto HaShem with my mouth; yea, I will praise Him among the multitude; לא31 כִּֽי־יַעֲמֹד לִימִין אֶבְיוֹן לְהוֹשִׁיעַ מִשֹּׁפְטֵי נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃ ki-yaamod limin evyon lehoshiya mishofetei nafshoBecause He standeth at the right hand of the needy, to save him from them that judge his soul.

א1 לְדָוִד מִזְמוֹר נְאֻם יְיָ ׀ לַֽאדֹנִי שֵׁב לִֽימִינִי עַד־אָשִׁית אֹיְבֶיךָ הֲדֹם לְרַגְלֶֽיךָ׃ ledavid mizmor neum Adonai ׀ ladoni shev limini ad-ashit oyveikha hadom leragleikhaA Psalm of David. HaShem saith unto my lord: 'Sit thou at My right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.' ב2 מַטֵּֽה־עֻזְּךָ יִשְׁלַח יְיָ מִצִּיּוֹן רְדֵה בְּקֶרֶב אֹיְבֶֽיךָ׃ mateh-uzkha yishlach Adonai mitziyon redeh bekerev oyveikhaThe rod of Thy strength HaShem will send out of Zion: 'Rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.' ג3 עַמְּךָ נְדָבֹת בְּיוֹם חֵילֶךָ בְּֽהַדְרֵי־קֹדֶשׁ מֵרֶחֶם מִשְׁחָר לְךָ טַל יַלְדֻתֶֽיךָ׃ amkha nedavot beyom cheilekha behadrei-kodesh merechem mishchar lekha tal yalduteikhaThy people offer themselves willingly in the day of thy warfare; in adornments of holiness, from the womb of the dawn, thine is the dew of thy youth. ד4 נִשְׁבַּע יְיָ ׀ וְלֹא יִנָּחֵם אַתָּֽה־כֹהֵן לְעוֹלָם עַל־דִּבְרָתִי מַלְכִּי־צֶֽדֶק׃ nishba Adonai ׀ velo yinachem atah-khohen leolam al-diverati malki-tzedekHaShem hath sworn, and will not repent: 'Thou art a priest for ever after the manner of Melchizedek.' ה5 אֲדֹנָי עַל־יְמִֽינְךָ מָחַץ בְּיוֹם־אַפּוֹ מְלָכִֽים׃ Adonai al-yeminkha machatz beyom-apo melakhimThe L-rd at thy right hand doth crush kings in the day of His wrath. ו6 יָדִין בַּגּוֹיִם מָלֵא גְוִיּוֹת מָחַץ רֹאשׁ עַל־אֶרֶץ רַבָּֽה׃ yadin bagoyim male geviyot machatz rosh al-eretz rabahHe will judge among the nations; He filleth it with the dead bodies, He crusheth the head over a wide land. ז7 מִנַּחַל בַּדֶּרֶךְ יִשְׁתֶּה עַל־כֵּן יָרִים רֹֽאשׁ׃ minachal baderekh yishteh al-ken yarim roshHe will drink of the brook in the way; therefore will he lift up the head.

א1 הַלְלוּ יָהּ ׀ אוֹדֶה יְיָ בְּכָל־לֵבָב בְּסוֹד יְשָׁרִים וְעֵדָֽה׃ hallu yah ׀ odeh Adonai bekhal-levav besod yesharim veedahHallelujah. I will give thanks unto HaShem with my whole heart, in the council of the upright, and in the congregation. ב2 גְּדֹלִים מַעֲשֵׂי יְיָ דְּרוּשִׁים לְכָל־חֶפְצֵיהֶֽם׃ gedolim maasei Adonai derushim lekhal-cheftzeihemThe works of HaShem are great, sought out of all them that have delight therein. ג3 הוֹד־וְהָדָר פָּֽעֳלוֹ וְצִדְקָתוֹ עֹמֶדֶת לָעַֽד׃ hod-vehadar paolo vetzidkato omedet laadHis work is glory and majesty; and His righteousness endureth for ever. ד4 זֵכֶר עָשָׂה לְנִפְלְאֹתָיו חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם יְהוָֽה׃ zekher asah leniflotayv chanun verachum AdonaiHe hath made a memorial for His wonderful works; HaShem is gracious and full of compassion. ה5 טֶרֶף נָתַן לִֽירֵאָיו יִזְכֹּר לְעוֹלָם בְּרִיתֽוֹ׃ teref natan lireayv yizkor leolam beritoHe hath given food unto them that fear Him; He will ever be mindful of His covenant. ו6 כֹּחַ מַעֲשָׂיו הִגִּיד לְעַמּוֹ לָתֵת לָהֶם נַחֲלַת גּוֹיִֽם׃ kocha maasayv higid leamo latet lahem nachalat goyimHe hath declared to His people the power of His works, in giving them the heritage of the nations. ז7 מַעֲשֵׂי יָדָיו אֱמֶת וּמִשְׁפָּט נֶאֱמָנִים כָּל־פִּקּוּדָֽיו׃ maasei yadayv emet umishpat neemanim kal-pikudayvThe works of His hands are truth and justice; all His precepts are sure. ח8 סְמוּכִים לָעַד לְעוֹלָם עֲשׂוּיִם בֶּאֱמֶת וְיָשָֽׁר׃ semukhim laad leolam asuyim beemet veyasharThey are established for ever and ever, they are done in truth and uprightness. ט9 פְּדוּת ׀ שָׁלַח לְעַמּוֹ צִוָּֽה־לְעוֹלָם בְּרִיתוֹ קָדוֹשׁ וְנוֹרָא שְׁמֽוֹ׃ pedut ׀ shalach leamo tzivah-leolam berito kadosh venora shemoHe hath sent redemption unto His people; He hath commanded His covenant for ever; Holy and awful is His name. י10 רֵאשִׁית חָכְמָה ׀ יִרְאַת יְיָ שֵׂכֶל טוֹב לְכָל־עֹשֵׂיהֶם תְּהִלָּתוֹ עֹמֶדֶת לָעַֽד׃ reshit chakhmah ׀ yirat Adonai sekhel tov lekhal-oseihem tehilato omedet laadThe fear of HaShem is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all they that do thereafter; His praise endureth for ever.

א1 הַלְלוּ יָהּ ׀ אַשְׁרֵי־אִישׁ יָרֵא אֶת־יְיָ בְּמִצְוֺתָיו חָפֵץ מְאֹֽד׃ hallu yah ׀ ashrei-ish yare et-Adonai bemitzotayv chafetz meodHallelujah. Happy is the man that feareth HaShem, that delighteth greatly in His commandments. ב2 גִּבּוֹר בָּאָרֶץ יִהְיֶה זַרְעוֹ דּוֹר יְשָׁרִים יְבֹרָֽךְ׃ gibor baaretz yihyeh zaro dor yesharim yevorakhHis seed shall be mighty upon earth; the generation of the upright shall be blessed. ג3 הוֹן־וָעֹשֶׁר בְּבֵיתוֹ וְצִדְקָתוֹ עֹמֶדֶת לָעַֽד׃ hon-vaosher beveito vetzidkato omedet laadWealth and riches are in his house; and his merit endureth for ever. ד4 זָרַח בַּחֹשֶׁךְ אוֹר לַיְשָׁרִים חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם וְצַדִּֽיק׃ zarach bachoshekh or laysharim chanun verachum vetzadikUnto the upright He shineth as a light in the darkness, gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. ה5 טֽוֹב־אִישׁ חוֹנֵן וּמַלְוֶה יְכַלְכֵּל דְּבָרָיו בְּמִשְׁפָּֽט׃ tov-ish chonen umalveh yekhalkel devarayv bemishpatWell is it with the man that dealeth graciously and lendeth, that ordereth his affairs rightfully. ו6 כִּֽי־לְעוֹלָם לֹא־יִמּוֹט לְזֵכֶר עוֹלָם יִהְיֶה צַדִּֽיק׃ ki-leolam lo-yimot lezekher olam yihyeh tzadikFor he shall never be moved; the righteous shall be had in everlasting remembrance. ז7 מִשְּׁמוּעָה רָעָה לֹא יִירָא נָכוֹן לִבּוֹ בָּטֻחַ בַּיהוָֽה׃ mishmuah raah lo yira nakhon libo batucha bayhvahHe shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is stedfast, trusting in HaShem. ח8 סָמוּךְ לִבּוֹ לֹא יִירָא עַד אֲשֶׁר־יִרְאֶה בְצָרָֽיו׃ samukh libo lo yira ad asher-yireh vetzarayvHis heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he gaze upon his adversaries. ט9 פִּזַּר ׀ נָתַן לָאֶבְיוֹנִים צִדְקָתוֹ עֹמֶדֶת לָעַד קַרְנוֹ תָּרוּם בְּכָבֽוֹד׃ pizar ׀ natan laevyonim tzidkato omedet laad karno tarum bekhavodHe hath scattered abroad, he hath given to the needy; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted in honour. י10 רָשָׁע יִרְאֶה ׀ וְכָעָס שִׁנָּיו יַחֲרֹק וְנָמָס תַּאֲוַת רְשָׁעִים תֹּאבֵֽד׃ rasha yireh ׀ vekhaas shinayv yacharok venamas taavat reshaim tovedThe wicked shall see it, and be vexed; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away; the desire of the wicked shall perish.

א1 הַלְלוּ יָהּ ׀ הַלְלוּ עַבְדֵי יְיָ הַֽלְלוּ אֶת־שֵׁם יְהוָֽה׃ hallu yah ׀ hallu avdei Adonai hallu et-shem AdonaiHallelujah. Praise, O ye servants of HaShem, praise the name of HaShem. ב2 יְהִי שֵׁם יְיָ מְבֹרָךְ מֵֽעַתָּה וְעַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ yehi shem Adonai mevorakh meatah vead-olamBlessed be the name of HaShem from this time forth and for ever. ג3 מִמִּזְרַח־שֶׁמֶשׁ עַד־מְבוֹאוֹ מְהֻלָּל שֵׁם יְהוָֽה׃ mimizerach-shemesh ad-mevoo mehulal shem AdonaiFrom the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof HaShem'S name is to be praised. ד4 רָם עַל־כָּל־גּוֹיִם ׀ יְיָ עַל הַשָּׁמַיִם כְּבוֹדֽוֹ׃ ram al-kal-goyim ׀ Adonai al hashamayim kevodoHaShem is high above all nations, His glory is above the heavens. ה5 מִי כַּיהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ הַֽמַּגְבִּיהִי לָשָֽׁבֶת׃ mi kayhvah eloheinu hamagebihi lashavetWho is like unto HaShem our G-d, that is enthroned on high, ו6 הַֽמַּשְׁפִּילִי לִרְאוֹת בַּשָּׁמַיִם וּבָאָֽרֶץ׃ hamashepili lirot bashamayim uvaaretzThat looketh down low upon heaven and upon the earth? ז7 מְקִֽימִי מֵעָפָר דָּל מֵֽאַשְׁפֹּת יָרִים אֶבְיֽוֹן׃ mekimi meafar dal meashpot yarim evyonWho raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the needy out of the dunghill; ח8 לְהוֹשִׁיבִי עִם־נְדִיבִים עִם נְדִיבֵי עַמּֽוֹ׃ lehoshivi im-nedivim im nedivei amoThat He may set him with princes, even with the princes of His people. ט9 מֽוֹשִׁיבִי ׀ עֲקֶרֶת הַבַּיִת אֵֽם־הַבָּנִים שְׂמֵחָה הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃ moshivi ׀ akeret habayit em-habanim semechah hallu-yahWho maketh the barren woman to dwell in her house as a joyful mother of children. א1 בְּצֵאת יִשְׂרָאֵל מִמִּצְרָיִם בֵּית יַעֲקֹב מֵעַם לֹעֵֽז׃ betzet yisrael mimitzerayim beit yaakov meam loezWhen Israel came forth out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language; ב2 הָיְתָה יְהוּדָה לְקָדְשׁוֹ יִשְׂרָאֵל מַמְשְׁלוֹתָֽיו׃ haytah yehudah lekadsho yisrael mamshlotayvJudah became His sanctuary, Israel His dominion. ג3 הַיָּם רָאָה וַיָּנֹס הַיַּרְדֵּן יִסֹּב לְאָחֽוֹר׃ hayam raah vayanos hayareden yisov leachorThe sea saw it, and fled; the Jordan turned backward. ד4 הֶֽהָרִים רָקְדוּ כְאֵילִים גְּבָעוֹת כִּבְנֵי־צֹֽאן׃ heharim rakdu kheeilim gevaot kivenei-tzonThe mountains skipped like rams, the hills like young sheep. ה5 מַה־לְּךָ הַיָּם כִּי תָנוּס הַיַּרְדֵּן תִּסֹּב לְאָחֽוֹר׃ mah-lekha hayam ki tanus hayareden tisov leachorWhat aileth thee, O thou sea, that thou fleest? thou Jordan, that thou turnest backward? ו6 הֶֽהָרִים תִּרְקְדוּ כְאֵילִים גְּבָעוֹת כִּבְנֵי־צֹֽאן׃ heharim tirekdu kheeilim gevaot kivenei-tzonYe mountains, that ye skip like rams; ye hills, like young sheep? ז7 מִלִּפְנֵי אָדוֹן חוּלִי אָרֶץ מִלִּפְנֵי אֱלוֹהַּ יַעֲקֹֽב׃ milifenei adon chuli aretz milifenei eloha yaakovTremble, thou earth, at the presence of the L-rd, at the presence of the G-d of Jacob; ח8 הַהֹפְכִי הַצּוּר אֲגַם־מָיִם חַלָּמִישׁ לְמַעְיְנוֹ־מָֽיִם׃ hahofkhi hatzur agam-mayim chalamish lemayno-mayimWho turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

א1 לֹא לָנוּ יְיָ לֹא לָנוּ כִּֽי־לְשִׁמְךָ תֵּן כָּבוֹד עַל־חַסְדְּךָ עַל־אֲמִתֶּֽךָ׃ lo lanu Adonai lo lanu ki-leshimkha ten kavod al-chasdkha al-amitekhaNot unto us, O HaShem, not unto us, but unto Thy name give glory, for Thy mercy, and for Thy truth's sake. ב2 לָמָּה יֹאמְרוּ הַגּוֹיִם אַיֵּה־נָא אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃ lamah yomru hagoyim ayeh-na eloheihemWherefore should the nations say: 'Where is now their G-d?' ג3 וֵֽאלֹהֵינוּ בַשָּׁמָיִם כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־חָפֵץ עָשָֽׂה׃ veloheinu vashamayim kol asher-chafetz asahBut our G-d is in the heavens; whatsoever pleased Him He hath done. ד4 עֲֽצַבֵּיהֶם כֶּסֶף וְזָהָב מַעֲשֵׂה יְדֵי אָדָֽם׃ atzabeihem kesef vezahav maaseh yedei adamTheir idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. ה5 פֶּֽה־לָהֶם וְלֹא יְדַבֵּרוּ עֵינַיִם לָהֶם וְלֹא יִרְאֽוּ׃ peh-lahem velo yedaberu einayim lahem velo yiruThey have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not; ו6 אָזְנַיִם לָהֶם וְלֹא יִשְׁמָעוּ אַף לָהֶם וְלֹא יְרִיחֽוּן׃ aznayim lahem velo yishmau af lahem velo yerichunThey have ears, but they hear not; noses have they, but they smell not; ז7 יְדֵיהֶם ׀ וְלֹא יְמִישׁוּן רַגְלֵיהֶם וְלֹא יְהַלֵּכוּ לֹֽא־יֶהְגּוּ בִּגְרוֹנָֽם׃ yedeihem ׀ velo yemishun ragleihem velo yehalekhu lo-yehgu bigeronamThey have hands, but they handle not; feet have they, but they walk not; neither speak they with their throat. ח8 כְּמוֹהֶם יִהְיוּ עֹשֵׂיהֶם כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־בֹּטֵחַ בָּהֶֽם׃ kemohem yihyu oseihem kol asher-botecha bahemThey that make them shall be like unto them; yea, every one that trusteth in them. ט9 יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּטַח בַּיהוָה עֶזְרָם וּמָגִנָּם הֽוּא׃ yisrael betach bayhvah ezram umaginam huO Israel, trust thou in HaShem! He is their help and their shield! י10 בֵּית אַהֲרֹן בִּטְחוּ בַיהוָה עֶזְרָם וּמָגִנָּם הֽוּא׃ beit aharon bitechu vayhvah ezram umaginam huO house of Aaron, trust ye in HaShem! He is their help and their shield! יא11 יִרְאֵי יְיָ בִּטְחוּ בַיהוָה עֶזְרָם וּמָגִנָּם הֽוּא׃ yirei Adonai bitechu vayhvah ezram umaginam huYe that fear HaShem, trust in HaShem! He is their help and their shield. יב12 יְיָ זְכָרָנוּ יְבָרֵךְ יְבָרֵךְ אֶת־בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל יְבָרֵךְ אֶת־בֵּית אַהֲרֹֽן׃ Adonai zekharanu yevarekh yevarekh et-beit yisrael yevarekh et-beit aharonHaShem hath been mindful of us, He will bless--He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron. יג13 יְבָרֵךְ יִרְאֵי יְיָ הַקְּטַנִּים עִם־הַגְּדֹלִֽים׃ yevarekh yirei Adonai haktanim im-hagdolimHe will bless them that fear HaShem, both small and great. יד14 יֹסֵף יְיָ עֲלֵיכֶם עֲלֵיכֶם וְעַל־בְּנֵיכֶֽם׃ yosef Adonai aleikhem aleikhem veal-beneikhemHaShem increase you more and more, you and your children. טו15 בְּרוּכִים אַתֶּם לַיהוָה עֹשֵׂה שָׁמַיִם וָאָֽרֶץ׃ berukhim atem layhvah oseh shamayim vaaretzBlessed be ye of HaShem who made heaven and earth. טז16 הַשָּׁמַיִם שָׁמַיִם לַיהוָה וְהָאָרֶץ נָתַן לִבְנֵי־אָדָֽם׃ hashamayim shamayim layhvah vehaaretz natan livnei-adamThe heavens are the heavens of HaShem; but the earth hath He given to the children of men. יז17 לֹא הַמֵּתִים יְהַֽלְלוּ־יָהּ וְלֹא כָּל־יֹרְדֵי דוּמָֽה׃ lo hametim yehallu-yah velo kal-yordei dumahThe dead praise not HaShem, neither any that go down into silence; יח18 וַאֲנַחְנוּ ׀ נְבָרֵךְ יָהּ מֵֽעַתָּה וְעַד־עוֹלָם הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃ vaanachnu ׀ nevarekh yah meatah vead-olam hallu-yahBut we will bless HaShem from this time forth and for ever. א1 אָהַבְתִּי כִּֽי־יִשְׁמַע ׀ יְיָ אֶת־קוֹלִי תַּחֲנוּנָֽי׃ ahavti ki-yishma ׀ Adonai et-koli tachanunayI love that HaShem should hear my voice and my supplications. ב2 כִּֽי־הִטָּה אָזְנוֹ לִי וּבְיָמַי אֶקְרָֽא׃ ki-hitah azno li uvyamay ekraBecause He hath inclined His ear unto me, therefore will I call upon Him all my days. ג3 אֲפָפוּנִי ׀ חֶבְלֵי־מָוֶת וּמְצָרֵי שְׁאוֹל מְצָאוּנִי צָרָה וְיָגוֹן אֶמְצָֽא׃ afafuni ׀ chevlei-mavet umtzarei sheol metzauni tzarah veyagon emtzaThe cords of death compassed me, and the straits of the nether-world got hold upon me; I found trouble and sorrow. ד4 וּבְשֵֽׁם־יְיָ אֶקְרָא אָנָּה יְיָ מַלְּטָה נַפְשִֽׁי׃ uvshem-Adonai ekra anah Adonai maltah nafshiBut I called upon the name of HaShem: 'I beseech thee, O HaShem, deliver my soul.' ה5 חַנּוּן יְהֹוָה וְצַדִּיק וֵאלֹהֵינוּ מְרַחֵֽם׃ chanun Adonai vetzadik veloheinu merachemGracious is HaShem, and righteous; yea, our G-d is compassionate. ו6 שֹׁמֵר פְּתָאיִם יְהֹוָה דַּלּוֹתִי וְלִי יְהוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃ shomer petayim Adonai daloti veli yehoshiyaHaShem preserveth the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me. ז7 שׁוּבִי נַפְשִׁי לִמְנוּחָיְכִי כִּֽי־יְיָ גָּמַל עָלָֽיְכִי׃ shuvi nafshi limnuchaykhi ki-Adonai gamal alaykhiReturn, O my soul, unto Thy rest; for HaShem hath dealt bountifully with thee. ח8 כִּי חִלַּצְתָּ נַפְשִׁי מִמָּוֶת אֶת־עֵינִי מִן־דִּמְעָה אֶת־רַגְלִי מִדֶּֽחִי׃ ki chilatzeta nafshi mimavet et-eini min-dimeah et-ragli midechiFor thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from stumbling. ט9 אֶתְהַלֵּךְ לִפְנֵי יְיָ בְּאַרְצוֹת הַֽחַיִּֽים׃ ethalekhe lifnei Adonai beartzot hachayimI shall walk before HaShem in the lands of the living. י10 הֶאֱמַנְתִּי כִּי אֲדַבֵּר אֲנִי עָנִיתִי מְאֹֽד׃ heemanti ki adaber ani aniti meodI trusted even when I spoke: 'I am greatly afflicted.' יא11 אֲנִי אָמַרְתִּי בְחָפְזִי כָּֽל־הָאָדָם כֹּזֵֽב׃ ani amarti vechafzi kal-haadam kozevI said in my haste: 'All men are liars.' יב12 מָֽה־אָשִׁיב לַיהוָה כָּֽל־תַּגְמוּלוֹהִי עָלָֽי׃ mah-ashiv layhvah kal-tagemulohi alayHow can I repay unto HaShem all His bountiful dealings toward me? יג13 כּוֹס־יְשׁוּעוֹת אֶשָּׂא וּבְשֵׁם יְיָ אֶקְרָֽא׃ kos-yeshuot esa uvshem Adonai ekraI will lift up the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of HaShem. יד14 נְדָרַי לַיהוָה אֲשַׁלֵּם נֶגְדָה־נָּא לְכָל־עַמּֽוֹ׃ nedaray layhvah ashalem negdah-na lekhal-amoMy vows will I pay unto HaShem, yea, in the presence of all His people. טו15 יָקָר בְּעֵינֵי יְיָ הַמָּוְתָה לַחֲסִידָֽיו׃ yakar beeinei Adonai hamavetah lachasidayvPrecious in the sight of HaShem is the death of His saints. טז16 אָֽנָּה יְיָ כִּֽי־אֲנִי עַבְדֶּךָ אֲֽנִי־עַבְדְּךָ בֶּן־אֲמָתֶךָ פִּתַּחְתָּ לְמוֹסֵרָֽי׃ anah Adonai ki-ani avdekha ani-avdkha ben-amatekha pitacheta lemoserayI beseech Thee, O HaShem, for I am Thy servant; I am Thy servant, the son of Thy handmaid; Thou hast loosed my bands. יז17 לְֽךָ־אֶזְבַּח זֶבַח תּוֹדָה וּבְשֵׁם יְיָ אֶקְרָֽא׃ lekha-ezbach zevach todah uvshem Adonai ekraI will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of HaShem. יח18 נְדָרַי לַיהוָה אֲשַׁלֵּם נֶגְדָה־נָּא לְכָל־עַמּֽוֹ׃ nedaray layhvah ashalem negdah-na lekhal-amoI will pay my vows unto HaShem, yea, in the presence of all His people; יט19 בְּחַצְרוֹת ׀ בֵּית יְיָ בְּֽתוֹכֵכִי יְֽרוּשָׁלִָם הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃ bechatzrot ׀ beit Adonai betokhekhi yerushalaim hallu-yahIn the courts of HaShem'S house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah.

א1 הַֽלְלוּ אֶת־יְיָ כָּל־גּוֹיִם שַׁבְּחוּהוּ כָּל־הָאֻמִּֽים׃ hallu et-Adonai kal-goyim shabchuhu kal-haumimO praise HaShem, all ye nations; laud Him, all ye peoples. ב2 כִּי גָבַר עָלֵינוּ ׀ חַסְדּוֹ וֶֽאֱמֶת־יְיָ לְעוֹלָם הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃ ki gavar aleinu ׀ chasdo veemet-Adonai leolam hallu-yahFor His mercy is great toward us; and the truth of HaShem endureth for ever. א1 הוֹדוּ לַיהוָה כִּי־טוֹב כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ hodu layhvah ki-tov ki leolam chasdo'O give thanks unto HaShem, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever. ב2 יֹֽאמַר־נָא יִשְׂרָאֵל כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ yomar-na yisrael ki leolam chasdoSo let Israel now say, for His mercy endureth for ever, ג3 יֹֽאמְרוּ־נָא בֵֽית־אַהֲרֹן כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ yomru-na veit-aharon ki leolam chasdoSo let the house of Aaron now say, for His mercy endureth for ever. ד4 יֹֽאמְרוּ־נָא יִרְאֵי יְיָ כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ yomru-na yirei Adonai ki leolam chasdoSo let them now that fear HaShem say, for His mercy endureth for ever. ה5 מִֽן־הַמֵּצַר קָרָאתִי יָּהּ עָנָנִי בַמֶּרְחָב יָֽהּ׃ min-hametzar karati yah anani vamerechav yahOut of my straits I called upon HaShem; He answered me with great enlargement. ו6 יְיָ לִי לֹא אִירָא מַה־יַּעֲשֶׂה לִי אָדָֽם׃ Adonai li lo ira mah-yaaseh li adamHaShem is for me; I will not fear; what can man do unto me? ז7 יְיָ לִי בְּעֹזְרָי וַאֲנִי אֶרְאֶה בְשֹׂנְאָֽי׃ Adonai li beozray vaani ereh vesonayHaShem is for me as my helper; and I shall gaze upon them that hate me. ח8 טוֹב לַחֲסוֹת בַּיהוָה מִבְּטֹחַ בָּאָדָֽם׃ tov lachasot bayhvah mibtocha baadamIt is better to take refuge in HaShem than to trust in man. ט9 טוֹב לַחֲסוֹת בַּיהוָה מִבְּטֹחַ בִּנְדִיבִֽים׃ tov lachasot bayhvah mibtocha binedivimIt is better to take refuge in HaShem than to trust in princes. י10 כָּל־גּוֹיִם סְבָבוּנִי בְּשֵׁם יְיָ כִּי אֲמִילַֽם׃ kal-goyim sevavuni beshem Adonai ki amilamAll nations compass me about; verily, in the name of HaShem I will cut them off. יא11 סַבּוּנִי גַם־סְבָבוּנִי בְּשֵׁם יְיָ כִּי אֲמִילַֽם׃ sabuni gam-sevavuni beshem Adonai ki amilamThey compass me about, yea, they compass me about; verily, in the name of HaShem I will cut them off. יב12 סַבּוּנִי כִדְבוֹרִים דֹּעֲכוּ כְּאֵשׁ קוֹצִים בְּשֵׁם יְיָ כִּי אֲמִילַֽם׃ sabuni khidvorim doakhu keesh kotzim beshem Adonai ki amilamThey compass me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns; verily, in the name of HaShem I will cut them off. יג13 דַּחֹה דְחִיתַנִי לִנְפֹּל וַיהוָה עֲזָרָֽנִי׃ dachoh dechitani linpol vayhvah azaraniThou didst thrust sore at me that I might fall; but HaShem helped me. יד14 עָזִּי וְזִמְרָת יָהּ וַֽיְהִי־לִי לִֽישׁוּעָֽה׃ azi vezimrat yah vayhi-li lishuahHaShem is my strength and song; and He is become my salvation. טו15 קוֹל ׀ רִנָּה וִֽישׁוּעָה בְּאָהֳלֵי צַדִּיקִים יְמִין יְיָ עֹשָׂה חָֽיִל׃ kol ׀ rinah vishuah beaholei tzadikim yemin Adonai osah chayilThe voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of HaShem doeth valiantly. טז16 יְמִין יְיָ רוֹמֵמָה יְמִין יְיָ עֹשָׂה חָֽיִל׃ yemin Adonai romemah yemin Adonai osah chayilThe right hand of HaShem is exalted; the right hand of HaShem doeth valiantly. יז17 לֹֽא אָמוּת כִּי־אֶֽחְיֶה וַאֲסַפֵּר מַֽעֲשֵׂי יָֽהּ׃ lo amut ki-echyeh vaasaper maasei yahI shall not die, but live, and declare the works of HaShem. יח18 יַסֹּר יִסְּרַנִּי יָּהּ וְלַמָּוֶת לֹא נְתָנָֽנִי׃ yasor yisrani yah velamavet lo netananiHaShem hath chastened me sore; but He hath not given me over unto death. יט19 פִּתְחוּ־לִי שַׁעֲרֵי־צֶדֶק אָֽבֹא־בָם אוֹדֶה יָֽהּ׃ pitechu-li shaarei-tzedek avo-vam odeh yahOpen to me the gates of righteousness; I will enter into them, I will give thanks unto HaShem. כ20 זֶֽה־הַשַּׁעַר לַיהוָה צַדִּיקִים יָבֹאוּ בֽוֹ׃ zeh-hashaar layhvah tzadikim yavou voThis is the gate of HaShem; the righteous shall enter into it. כא21 אוֹדְךָ כִּי עֲנִיתָנִי וַתְּהִי־לִי לִֽישׁוּעָֽה׃ odkha ki anitani vathi-li lishuahI will give thanks unto Thee, for Thou hast answered me, and art become my salvation. כב22 אֶבֶן מָאֲסוּ הַבּוֹנִים הָיְתָה לְרֹאשׁ פִּנָּֽה׃ even maasu habonim haytah lerosh pinahThe stone which the builders rejected is become the chief corner-stone. כג23 מֵאֵת יְיָ הָיְתָה זֹּאת הִיא נִפְלָאת בְּעֵינֵֽינוּ׃ meet Adonai haytah zot hi niflat beeineinuThis is HaShem'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. כד24 זֶה־הַיּוֹם עָשָׂה יְיָ נָגִילָה וְנִשְׂמְחָה בֽוֹ׃ zeh-hayom asah Adonai nagilah venismchah voThis is the day which HaShem hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. כה25 אָנָּא יְיָ הוֹשִׁיעָה נָּא אָֽנָּא יְיָ הַצְלִיחָה נָּֽא׃ ana Adonai hoshiyah na ana Adonai hatzlichah naWe beseech Thee, O HaShem, save now! We beseech Thee, O HaShem, make us now to prosper! כו26 בָּרוּךְ הַבָּא בְּשֵׁם יְיָ בֵּרַֽכְנוּכֶם מִבֵּית יְהוָֽה׃ barukh haba beshem Adonai berakhnukhem mibeit AdonaiBlessed be he that cometh in the name of HaShem; we bless you out of the house of HaShem. כז27 אֵל ׀ יְיָ וַיָּאֶר לָנוּ אִסְרוּ־חַג בַּעֲבֹתִים עַד־קַרְנוֹת הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ el ׀ Adonai vayaer lanu isru-chag baavotim ad-karnot hamizebechaHaShem is G-d, and hath given us light; order the festival procession with boughs, even unto the horns of the altar. כח28 אֵלִי אַתָּה וְאוֹדֶךָּ אֱלֹהַי אֲרוֹמְמֶֽךָּ׃ eli atah veodeka elohay arommekaThou art my G-d, and I will give thanks unto Thee; Thou art my G-d, I will exalt Thee. כט29 הוֹדוּ לַיהוָה כִּי־טוֹב כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ hodu layhvah ki-tov ki leolam chasdoO give thanks unto HaShem, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever.

א1 אַשְׁרֵי תְמִֽימֵי־דָרֶךְ הַֽהֹלְכִים בְּתוֹרַת יְהוָֽה׃ ashrei temimei-darekh haholkhim betorat AdonaiALEPH. Happy are they that are upright in the way, who walk in the law of HaShem. ב2 אַשְׁרֵי נֹצְרֵי עֵדֹתָיו בְּכָל־לֵב יִדְרְשֽׁוּהוּ׃ ashrei notzrei edotayv bekhal-lev yidrshuhuHappy are they that keep His testimonies, that seek Him with the whole heart. ג3 אַף לֹֽא־פָעֲלוּ עַוְלָה בִּדְרָכָיו הָלָֽכוּ׃ af lo-faalu avlah biderakhayv halakhuYea, they do no unrighteousness; they walk in His ways. ד4 אַתָּה צִוִּיתָה פִקֻּדֶיךָ לִשְׁמֹר מְאֹֽד׃ atah tzivitah fikudeikha lishmor meodThou hast ordained Thy precepts, that we should observe them diligently. ה5 אַחֲלַי יִכֹּנוּ דְרָכָי לִשְׁמֹר חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃ achalay yikonu derakhay lishmor chukeikhaOh that my ways were directed to observe Thy statutes! ו6 אָז לֹא־אֵבוֹשׁ בְּהַבִּיטִי אֶל־כָּל־מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃ az lo-evosh behabiti el-kal-mitzoteikhaThen should I not be ashamed, when I have regard unto all Thy commandments. ז7 אוֹדְךָ בְּיֹשֶׁר לֵבָב בְּלָמְדִי מִשְׁפְּטֵי צִדְקֶֽךָ׃ odkha beyosher levav belamdi mishptei tzidkekhaI will give thanks unto Thee with uprightness of heart, when I learn Thy righteous ordinances. ח8 אֶת־חֻקֶּיךָ אֶשְׁמֹר אַֽל־תַּעַזְבֵנִי עַד־מְאֹֽד׃ et-chukeikha eshmor al-taazveni ad-meodI will observe Thy statutes; O forsake me not utterly. ט9 בַּמֶּה יְזַכֶּה־נַּעַר אֶת־אָרְחוֹ לִשְׁמֹר כִּדְבָרֶֽךָ׃ bameh yezakeh-naar et-archo lishmor kidevarekhaBETH. Wherewithal shall a young man keep his way pure? By taking heed thereto according to Thy word. י10 בְּכָל־לִבִּי דְרַשְׁתִּיךָ אַל־תַּשְׁגֵּנִי מִמִּצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃ bekhal-libi derashtikha al-tashegeni mimitzeoteikhaWith my whole heart have I sought Thee; O let me not err from Thy commandments. יא11 בְּלִבִּי צָפַנְתִּי אִמְרָתֶךָ לְמַעַן לֹא אֶֽחֱטָא־לָֽךְ׃ belibi tzafanti imratekha lemaan lo echeta-lakhThy word have I laid up in my heart, that I might not sin against Thee. יב12 בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ לַמְּדֵנִי חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃ barukh atah Adonai lamdeni chukeikhaBlessed art Thou, O HaShem; teach me Thy statutes. יג13 בִּשְׂפָתַי סִפַּרְתִּי כֹּל מִשְׁפְּטֵי־פִֽיךָ׃ bisefatay sipareti kol mishptei-fikhaWith my lips have I told all the ordinances of Thy mouth. יד14 בְּדֶרֶךְ עֵדְוֺתֶיךָ שַׂשְׂתִּי כְּעַל כָּל־הֽוֹן׃ bederekh edoteikha sasti keal kal-honI have rejoiced in the way of Thy testimonies, as much as in all riches. טו15 בְּפִקֻּדֶיךָ אָשִׂיחָה וְאַבִּיטָה אֹרְחֹתֶֽיךָ׃ befikudeikha asichah veabitah orchoteikhaI will meditate in Thy precepts, and have respect unto Thy ways. טז16 בְּחֻקֹּתֶיךָ אֶֽשְׁתַּעֲשָׁע לֹא אֶשְׁכַּח דְּבָרֶֽךָ׃ bechukoteikha eshtaasha lo eshkach devarekhaI will delight myself in Thy statutes; I will not forget Thy word. יז17 גְּמֹל עַֽל־עַבְדְּךָ אֶֽחְיֶה וְאֶשְׁמְרָה דְבָרֶֽךָ׃ gemol al-avdkha echyeh veeshmrah devarekhaGIMEL. Deal bountifully with Thy servant that I may live, and I will observe Thy word. יח18 גַּל־עֵינַי וְאַבִּיטָה נִפְלָאוֹת מִתּוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃ gal-einay veabitah niflaot mitoratekhaOpen Thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of Thy law. יט19 גֵּר אָנֹכִי בָאָרֶץ אַל־תַּסְתֵּר מִמֶּנִּי מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃ ger anokhi vaaretz al-taseter mimeni mitzoteikhaI am a sojourner in the earth; hide not Thy commandments from me. כ20 גָּרְסָה נַפְשִׁי לְתַאֲבָה אֶֽל־מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ בְכָל־עֵֽת׃ garesah nafshi letaavah el-mishpateikha vekhal-etMy soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto Thine ordinances at all times. כא21 גָּעַרְתָּ זֵדִים אֲרוּרִים הַשֹּׁגִים מִמִּצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃ gaarta zedim arurim hashogim mimitzeoteikhaThou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, that do err from Thy commandments. כב22 גַּל מֵֽעָלַי חֶרְפָּה וָבוּז כִּי עֵדֹתֶיךָ נָצָֽרְתִּי׃ gal mealay cherpah vavuz ki edoteikha natzartiTake away from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept Thy testimonies. כג23 גַּם יָֽשְׁבוּ שָׂרִים בִּי נִדְבָּרוּ עַבְדְּךָ יָשִׂיחַ בְּחֻקֶּֽיךָ׃ gam yashvu sarim bi nidbaru avdkha yasicha bechukeikhaEven though princes sit and talk against me, thy servant doth meditate in Thy statutes. כד24 גַּֽם־עֵדֹתֶיךָ שַׁעֲשֻׁעָי אַנְשֵׁי עֲצָתִֽי׃ gam-edoteikha shaashuay anshei atzatiYea, Thy testimonies are my delight, they are my counsellors. כה25 דָּֽבְקָה לֶעָפָר נַפְשִׁי חַיֵּנִי כִּדְבָרֶֽךָ׃ davekah leafar nafshi chayeni kidevarekhaDALETH. My soul cleaveth unto the dust; quicken Thou me according to Thy word. כו26 דְּרָכַי סִפַּרְתִּי וַֽתַּעֲנֵנִי לַמְּדֵנִי חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃ derakhay sipareti vataaneni lamdeni chukeikhaI told of my ways, and Thou didst answer me; teach me Thy statutes. כז27 דֶּֽרֶךְ־פִּקּוּדֶיךָ הֲבִינֵנִי וְאָשִׂיחָה בְּנִפְלְאוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ derekh-pikudeikha havineni veasichah benifloteikhaMake me to understand the way of Thy precepts, that I may talk of Thy wondrous works. כח28 דָּלְפָה נַפְשִׁי מִתּוּגָה קַיְּמֵנִי כִּדְבָרֶֽךָ׃ dalefah nafshi mitugah kaymeni kidevarekhaMy soul melteth away for heaviness; sustain me according unto Thy word. כט29 דֶּֽרֶךְ־שֶׁקֶר הָסֵר מִמֶּנִּי וְֽתוֹרָתְךָ חָנֵּֽנִי׃ derekh-sheker haser mimeni vetoratkha chaneniRemove from me the way of falsehood; and grant me Thy law graciously. ל30 דֶּֽרֶךְ־אֱמוּנָה בָחָרְתִּי מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ שִׁוִּֽיתִי׃ derekh-emunah vacharti mishpateikha shivitiI have chosen the way of faithfulness; Thine ordinances have I set before me. לא31 דָּבַקְתִּי בְעֵֽדְוֺתֶיךָ יְיָ אַל־תְּבִישֵֽׁנִי׃ davakti veedoteikha Adonai al-tevisheniI cleave unto Thy testimonies; O HaShem, put me not to shame. לב32 דֶּֽרֶךְ־מִצְוֺתֶיךָ אָרוּץ כִּי תַרְחִיב לִבִּֽי׃ derekh-mitzoteikha arutz ki tarchiv libiI will run the way of Thy commandments, for Thou dost enlarge my heart. לג33 הוֹרֵנִי יְיָ דֶּרֶךְ חֻקֶּיךָ וְאֶצְּרֶנָּה עֵֽקֶב׃ horeni Adonai derekh chukeikha veetzrenah ekevHE. Teach me, O HaShem, the way of Thy statutes; and I will keep it at every step. לד34 הֲבִינֵנִי וְאֶצְּרָה תֽוֹרָתֶךָ וְאֶשְׁמְרֶנָּה בְכָל־לֵֽב׃ havineni veetzrah toratekha veeshmrenah vekhal-levGive me understanding, that I keep Thy law and observe it with my whole heart. לה35 הַדְרִיכֵנִי בִּנְתִיב מִצְוֺתֶיךָ כִּי־בוֹ חָפָֽצְתִּי׃ hadrikheni binetiv mitzoteikha ki-vo chafatztiMake me to tread in the path of Thy commandments; for therein do I delight. לו36 הַט־לִבִּי אֶל־עֵדְוֺתֶיךָ וְאַל אֶל־בָּֽצַע׃ hat-libi el-edoteikha veal el-batzaIncline my heart unto Thy testimonies, and not to covetousness. לז37 הַעֲבֵר עֵינַי מֵרְאוֹת שָׁוְא בִּדְרָכֶךָ חַיֵּֽנִי׃ haaver einay merot shav biderakhekha chayeniTurn away mine eyes from beholding vanity, and quicken me in Thy ways. לח38 הָקֵם לְעַבְדְּךָ אִמְרָתֶךָ אֲשֶׁר לְיִרְאָתֶֽךָ׃ hakem leavdkha imratekha asher leyiratekhaConfirm Thy word unto Thy servant, which pertaineth unto the fear of Thee. לט39 הַעֲבֵר חֶרְפָּתִי אֲשֶׁר יָגֹרְתִּי כִּי מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ טוֹבִֽים׃ haaver cherpati asher yagorti ki mishpateikha tovimTurn away my reproach which I dread; for Thine ordinances are good. מ40 הִנֵּה תָּאַבְתִּי לְפִקֻּדֶיךָ בְּצִדְקָתְךָ חַיֵּֽנִי׃ hineh taavti lefikudeikha betzidkatkha chayeniBehold, I have longed after Thy precepts; quicken me in Thy righteousness. מא41 וִֽיבֹאֻנִי חֲסָדֶךָ יְיָ תְּשֽׁוּעָתְךָ כְּאִמְרָתֶֽךָ׃ vivouni chasadekha Adonai teshuatkha keimratekhaVAV. Let Thy mercies also come unto me, O HaShem, even Thy salvation, according to Thy word; מב42 וְאֶֽעֱנֶה חֹרְפִי דָבָר כִּֽי־בָטַחְתִּי בִּדְבָרֶֽךָ׃ veeneh chorfi davar ki-vatachti bidevarekhaThat I may have an answer for him that taunteth me; for I trust in Thy word. מג43 וְֽאַל־תַּצֵּל מִפִּי דְבַר־אֱמֶת עַד־מְאֹד כִּי לְמִשְׁפָּטֶךָ יִחָֽלְתִּי׃ veal-tatzel mipi devar-emet ad-meod ki lemishpatekha yichaltiAnd take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I hope in Thine ordinances; מד44 וְאֶשְׁמְרָה תוֹרָתְךָ תָמִיד לְעוֹלָם וָעֶֽד׃ veeshmrah toratkha tamid leolam vaedSo shall I observe Thy law continually for ever and ever; מה45 וְאֶתְהַלְּכָה בָרְחָבָה כִּי פִקֻּדֶיךָ דָרָֽשְׁתִּי׃ veethalkhah varchavah ki fikudeikha darashtiAnd I will walk at ease, for I have sought Thy precepts; מו46 וַאֲדַבְּרָה בְעֵדֹתֶיךָ נֶגֶד מְלָכִים וְלֹא אֵבֽוֹשׁ׃ vaadabrah veedoteikha neged melakhim velo evoshI will also speak of Thy testimonies before kings, and will not be ashamed. מז47 וְאֶשְׁתַּֽעֲשַׁע בְּמִצְוֺתֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר אָהָֽבְתִּי׃ veeshtaasha bemitzoteikha asher ahavtiAnd I will delight myself in Thy commandments, which I have loved. מח48 וְאֶשָּֽׂא־כַפַּי אֶֽל־מִצְוֺתֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר אָהָבְתִּי וְאָשִׂיחָה בְחֻקֶּֽיךָ׃ veesa-khapay el-mitzoteikha asher ahavti veasichah vechukeikhaI will lift up my hands also unto Thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in Thy statutes. מט49 זְכֹר־דָּבָר לְעַבְדֶּךָ עַל אֲשֶׁר יִֽחַלְתָּֽנִי׃ zekhor-davar leavdekha al asher yichaltaniZAIN. Remember the word unto Thy servant, because Thou hast made me to hope. נ50 זֹאת נֶחָמָתִי בְעָנְיִי כִּי אִמְרָתְךָ חִיָּֽתְנִי׃ zot nechamati veanyi ki imratkha chiyateniThis is my comfort in my affliction, that Thy word hath quickened me. נא51 זֵדִים הֱלִיצֻנִי עַד־מְאֹד מִתּֽוֹרָתְךָ לֹא נָטִֽיתִי׃ zedim helitzuni ad-meod mitoratkha lo natitiThe proud have had me greatly in derision; yet have I not turned aside from Thy law. נב52 זָכַרְתִּי מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ מֵעוֹלָם ׀ יְיָ וָֽאֶתְנֶחָֽם׃ zakharti mishpateikha meolam ׀ Adonai vaetnechamI have remembered Thine ordinances which are of old, O HaShem, and have comforted myself. נג53 זַלְעָפָה אֲחָזַתְנִי מֵרְשָׁעִים עֹזְבֵי תּוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃ zalafah achazatni mershaim ozvei toratekhaBurning indignation hath taken hold upon me, because of the wicked that forsake Thy law. נד54 זְמִרוֹת הָֽיוּ־לִי חֻקֶּיךָ בְּבֵית מְגוּרָֽי׃ zemirot hayu-li chukeikha beveit megurayThy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage. נה55 זָכַרְתִּי בַלַּיְלָה שִׁמְךָ יְיָ וָֽאֶשְׁמְרָה תּוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃ zakharti valayelah shimkha Adonai vaeshmrah toratekhaI have remembered Thy name, O HaShem, in the night, and have observed Thy law. נו56 זֹאת הָֽיְתָה־לִּי כִּי פִקֻּדֶיךָ נָצָֽרְתִּי׃ zot haytah-li ki fikudeikha natzartiThis I have had, that I have kept Thy precepts. נז57 חֶלְקִי יְיָ אָמַרְתִּי לִשְׁמֹר דְּבָרֶֽיךָ׃ chelki Adonai amarti lishmor devareikhaHETH. My portion is HaShem, I have said that I would observe Thy words. נח58 חִלִּיתִי פָנֶיךָ בְכָל־לֵב חָנֵּנִי כְּאִמְרָתֶֽךָ׃ chiliti faneikha vekhal-lev chaneni keimratekhaI have entreated Thy favour with my whole heart; be gracious unto me according to Thy word. נט59 חִשַּׁבְתִּי דְרָכָי וָאָשִׁיבָה רַגְלַי אֶל־עֵדֹתֶֽיךָ׃ chishaveti derakhay vaashivah raglay el-edoteikhaI considered my ways, and turned my feet unto Thy testimonies. ס60 חַשְׁתִּי וְלֹא הִתְמַהְמָהְתִּי לִשְׁמֹר מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃ chashti velo hitmahmahti lishmor mitzoteikhaI made haste, and delayed not, to observe Thy commandments. סא61 חֶבְלֵי רְשָׁעִים עִוְּדֻנִי תּֽוֹרָתְךָ לֹא שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃ chevlei reshaim ivduni toratkha lo shakhachtiThe bands of the wicked have enclosed me; but I have not forgotten Thy law. סב62 חֲצֽוֹת־לַיְלָה אָקוּם לְהוֹדוֹת לָךְ עַל מִשְׁפְּטֵי צִדְקֶֽךָ׃ chatzot-laylah akum lehodot lakh al mishptei tzidkekhaAt midnight I will rise to give thanks unto Thee because of Thy righteous ordinances. סג63 חָבֵר אָנִי לְכָל־אֲשֶׁר יְרֵאוּךָ וּלְשֹׁמְרֵי פִּקּוּדֶֽיךָ׃ chaver ani lekhal-asher yereukha ulshomrei pikudeikhaI am a companion of all them that fear Thee, and of them that observe Thy precepts. סד64 חַסְדְּךָ יְיָ מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ חֻקֶּיךָ לַמְּדֵֽנִי׃ chasdkha Adonai malah haaretz chukeikha lamdeniThe earth, O HaShem, is full of Thy mercy; teach me Thy statutes. סה65 טוֹב עָשִׂיתָ עִֽם־עַבְדְּךָ יְיָ כִּדְבָרֶֽךָ׃ tov asita im-avdkha Adonai kidevarekhaTETH. Thou hast dealt well with Thy servant, O HaShem, according unto Thy word. סו66 טוּב טַעַם וָדַעַת לַמְּדֵנִי כִּי בְמִצְוֺתֶיךָ הֶאֱמָֽנְתִּי׃ tuv taam vadaat lamdeni ki vemitzoteikha heemantiTeach me good discernment and knowledge; for I have believed Thy commandments. סז67 טֶרֶם אֶעֱנֶה אֲנִי שֹׁגֵג וְעַתָּה אִמְרָתְךָ שָׁמָֽרְתִּי׃ terem eeneh ani shogeg veatah imratkha shamartiBefore I was afflicted, I did err; but now I observe Thy word. סח68 טוֹב־אַתָּה וּמֵטִיב לַמְּדֵנִי חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃ tov-atah umetiv lamdeni chukeikhaThou art good, and doest good; teach me Thy statutes. סט69 טָפְלוּ עָלַי שֶׁקֶר זֵדִים אֲנִי בְּכָל־לֵב ׀ אֱצֹּר פִּקּוּדֶֽיךָ׃ taflu alay sheker zedim ani bekhal-lev ׀ etzor pikudeikhaThe proud have forged a lie against me; but I with my whole heart will keep Thy precepts. ע70 טָפַשׁ כַּחֵלֶב לִבָּם אֲנִי תּוֹרָתְךָ שִֽׁעֲשָֽׁעְתִּי׃ tafash kachelev libam ani toratkha shiashatiTheir heart is gross like fat; but I delight in Thy law. עא71 טֽוֹב־לִי כִֽי־עֻנֵּיתִי לְמַעַן אֶלְמַד חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃ tov-li khi-uneiti lemaan elmad chukeikhaIt is good for me that I have been afflicted, in order that I might learn Thy statutes. עב72 טֽוֹב־לִי תֽוֹרַת־פִּיךָ מֵאַלְפֵי זָהָב וָכָֽסֶף׃ tov-li torat-pikha mealfei zahav vakhasefThe law of Thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver. עג73 יָדֶיךָ עָשׂוּנִי וַֽיְכוֹנְנוּנִי הֲבִינֵנִי וְאֶלְמְדָה מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃ yadeikha asuni vaykhonnuni havineni veelmdah mitzoteikhaJOD. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me; give me understanding, that I may learn Thy commandments. עד74 יְרֵאֶיךָ יִרְאוּנִי וְיִשְׂמָחוּ כִּי לִדְבָרְךָ יִחָֽלְתִּי׃ yereeikha yiruni veyismachu ki lidvarkha yichaltiThey that fear Thee shall see me and be glad, because I have hope in Thy word. עה75 יָדַעְתִּי יְיָ כִּי־צֶדֶק מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ וֶאֱמוּנָה עִנִּיתָֽנִי׃ yadati Adonai ki-tzedek mishpateikha veemunah initaniI know, O HaShem, that Thy judgments are righteous, and that in faithfulness Thou hast afflicted me. עו76 יְהִי־נָא חַסְדְּךָ לְנַחֲמֵנִי כְּאִמְרָתְךָ לְעַבְדֶּֽךָ׃ yehi-na chasdkha lenachameni keimratkha leavdekhaLet, I pray Thee, Thy lovingkindness be ready to comfort me, according to Thy promise unto Thy servant. עז77 יְבֹאוּנִי רַחֲמֶיךָ וְאֶֽחְיֶה כִּי־תֽוֹרָתְךָ שַֽׁעֲשֻׁעָֽי׃ yevouni rachameikha veechyeh ki-toratkha shaashuayLet Thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live; for Thy law is my delight. עח78 יֵבֹשׁוּ זֵדִים כִּי־שֶׁקֶר עִוְּתוּנִי אֲנִי אָשִׂיחַ בְּפִקּוּדֶֽיךָ׃ yevoshu zedim ki-sheker ivtuni ani asicha befikudeikhaLet the proud be put to shame, for they have distorted my cause with falsehood; but I will meditate in Thy precepts. עט79 יָשׁוּבוּ לִי יְרֵאֶיךָ וידעו עֵדֹתֶֽיךָ׃ yashuvu li yereeikha vydv edoteikhaLet those that fear Thee return unto me, and they that know Thy testimonies. פ80 יְהִֽי־לִבִּי תָמִים בְּחֻקֶּיךָ לְמַעַן לֹא אֵבֽוֹשׁ׃ yehi-libi tamim bechukeikha lemaan lo evoshLet my heart be undivided in Thy statutes, in order that I may not be put to shame. פא81 כָּלְתָה לִתְשׁוּעָתְךָ נַפְשִׁי לִדְבָרְךָ יִחָֽלְתִּי׃ kaletah litshuatkha nafshi lidvarkha yichaltiCAPH. My soul pineth for Thy salvation; in Thy word do I hope. פב82 כָּלוּ עֵינַי לְאִמְרָתֶךָ לֵאמֹר מָתַי תְּֽנַחֲמֵֽנִי׃ kalu einay leimratekha lemor matay tenachameniMine eyes fail for Thy word, saying: 'When wilt Thou comfort me?' פג83 כִּֽי־הָיִיתִי כְּנֹאד בְּקִיטוֹר חֻקֶּיךָ לֹא שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃ ki-hayiti kenod bekitor chukeikha lo shakhachtiFor I am become like a wine-skin in the smoke; yet do I not forget Thy statutes. פד84 כַּמָּה יְמֵֽי־עַבְדֶּךָ מָתַי תַּעֲשֶׂה בְרֹדְפַי מִשְׁפָּֽט׃ kamah yemei-avdekha matay taaseh verodfay mishpatHow many are the days of Thy servant? When wilt Thou execute judgment on them that persecute me? פה85 כָּֽרוּ־לִי זֵדִים שִׁיחוֹת אֲשֶׁר לֹא כְתוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃ karu-li zedim shichot asher lo khetoratekhaThe proud have digged pits for me, which is not according to Thy law. פו86 כָּל־מִצְוֺתֶיךָ אֱמוּנָה שֶׁקֶר רְדָפוּנִי עָזְרֵֽנִי׃ kal-mitzoteikha emunah sheker redafuni azreniAll Thy commandments are faithful; they persecute me for nought; help Thou me. פז87 כִּמְעַט כִּלּוּנִי בָאָרֶץ וַאֲנִי לֹא־עָזַבְתִּי פִקֻּודֶֽיךָ׃ kimeat kiluni vaaretz vaani lo-azavti fikuvdeikhaThey had almost consumed me upon earth; but as for me, I forsook not Thy precepts. פח88 כְּחַסְדְּךָ חַיֵּנִי וְאֶשְׁמְרָה עֵדוּת פִּֽיךָ׃ kechasdkha chayeni veeshmrah edut pikhaQuicken me after Thy lovingkindness, and I will observe the testimony of Thy mouth. פט89 לְעוֹלָם יְיָ דְּבָרְךָ נִצָּב בַּשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ leolam Adonai devarkha nitzav bashamayimLAMED. For ever, O HaShem, Thy word standeth fast in heaven. צ90 לְדֹר וָדֹר אֱמֽוּנָתֶךָ כּוֹנַנְתָּ אֶרֶץ וַֽתַּעֲמֹֽד׃ ledor vador emunatekha konanta eretz vataamodThy faithfulness is unto all generations; Thou hast established the earth, and it standeth. צא91 לְֽמִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ עָמְדוּ הַיּוֹם כִּי הַכֹּל עֲבָדֶֽיךָ׃ lemishpateikha amdu hayom ki hakol avadeikhaThey stand this day according to Thine ordinances; for all things are Thy servants. צב92 לוּלֵי תוֹרָתְךָ שַׁעֲשֻׁעָי אָז אָבַדְתִּי בְעָנְיִֽי׃ lulei toratkha shaashuay az avadti veanyiUnless Thy law had been my delight, I should then have perished in mine affliction. צג93 לְעוֹלָם לֹא־אֶשְׁכַּח פִּקּוּדֶיךָ כִּי בָם חִיִּיתָֽנִי׃ leolam lo-eshkach pikudeikha ki vam chiyitaniI will never forget Thy precepts; for with them Thou hast quickened me. צד94 לְֽךָ־אֲנִי הוֹשִׁיעֵנִי כִּי פִקּוּדֶיךָ דָרָֽשְׁתִּי׃ lekha-ani hoshiyeni ki fikudeikha darashtiI am Thine, save me; for I have sought Thy precepts. צה95 לִי קִוּוּ רְשָׁעִים לְאַבְּדֵנִי עֵדֹתֶיךָ אֶתְבּוֹנָֽן׃ li kiuu reshaim leabdeni edoteikha etbonanThe wicked have waited for me to destroy me; but I will consider Thy testimonies. צו96 לְֽכָל תִּכְלָה רָאִיתִי קֵץ רְחָבָה מִצְוָתְךָ מְאֹֽד׃ lekhal tikhelah raiti ketz rechavah mitzvatkha meodI have seen an end to every purpose; but Thy commandment is exceeding broad. צז97 מָֽה־אָהַבְתִּי תוֹרָתֶךָ כָּל־הַיּוֹם הִיא שִׂיחָתִֽי׃ mah-ahavti toratekha kal-hayom hi sichatiMEM. O how love I Thy law! It is my meditation all the day. צח98 מֵאֹיְבַי תְּחַכְּמֵנִי מִצְוֺתֶךָ כִּי לְעוֹלָם הִיא־לִֽי׃ meoyvay techakmeni mitzotekha ki leolam hi-liThy commandments make me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. צט99 מִכָּל־מְלַמְּדַי הִשְׂכַּלְתִּי כִּי עֵדְוֺתֶיךָ שִׂיחָה לִֽֿי׃ mikal-melamday hiskaleti ki edoteikha sichah liI have more understanding than all my teachers; for Thy testimonies are my meditation. ק100 מִזְּקֵנִים אֶתְבּוֹנָן כִּי פִקּוּדֶיךָ נָצָֽרְתִּי׃ mizkenim etbonan ki fikudeikha natzartiI understand more than mine elders, because I have keep Thy precepts. קא101 מִכָּל־אֹרַח רָע כָּלִאתִי רַגְלָי לְמַעַן אֶשְׁמֹר דְּבָרֶֽךָ׃ mikal-orach ra kaliti raglay lemaan eshmor devarekhaI have refrained my feet from every evil way, in order that I might observe Thy word. קב102 מִמִּשְׁפָּטֶיךָ לֹא־סָרְתִּי כִּֽי־אַתָּה הוֹרֵתָֽנִי׃ mimishepateikha lo-sarti ki-atah horetaniI have not turned aside from Thine ordinances; for Thou hast instructed me. קג103 מַה־נִּמְלְצוּ לְחִכִּי אִמְרָתֶךָ מִדְּבַשׁ לְפִֽי׃ mah-nimeltzu lechiki imratekha midvash lefiHow sweet are Thy words unto my palate! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! קד104 מִפִּקּוּדֶיךָ אֶתְבּוֹנָן עַל־כֵּן שָׂנֵאתִי ׀ כָּל־אֹרַח שָֽׁקֶר׃ mipikudeikha etbonan al-ken saneti ׀ kal-orach shakerFrom Thy precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way. קה105 נֵר־לְרַגְלִי דְבָרֶךָ וְאוֹר לִנְתִיבָתִֽי׃ ner-leragli devarekha veor lintivatiNUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. קו106 נִשְׁבַּעְתִּי וָאֲקַיֵּמָה לִשְׁמֹר מִשְׁפְּטֵי צִדְקֶֽךָ׃ nishbaeti vaakayemah lishmor mishptei tzidkekhaI have sworn, and have confirmed it, to observe Thy righteous ordinances. קז107 נַעֲנֵיתִי עַד־מְאֹד יְיָ חַיֵּנִי כִדְבָרֶֽךָ׃ naaneiti ad-meod Adonai chayeni khidvarekhaI am afflicted very much; quicken me, O HaShem, according unto Thy word. קח108 נִדְבוֹת פִּי רְצֵה־נָא יְיָ וּֽמִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ לַמְּדֵֽנִי׃ nidvot pi retzeh-na Adonai umishpateikha lamdeniAccept, I beseech Thee, the freewill-offerings of my mouth, O HaShem, and teach me Thine ordinances. קט109 נַפְשִׁי בְכַפִּי תָמִיד וְתֽוֹרָתְךָ לֹא שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃ nafshi vekhapi tamid vetoratkha lo shakhachtiMy soul is continually in my hand; yet have I not forgotten Thy law. קי110 נָתְנוּ רְשָׁעִים פַּח לִי וּמִפִּקּוּדֶיךָ לֹא תָעִֽיתִי׃ natnu reshaim pach li umipikudeikha lo taitiThe wicked have laid a snare for me; yet went I not astray from Thy precepts. קיא111 נָחַלְתִּי עֵדְוֺתֶיךָ לְעוֹלָם כִּֽי־שְׂשׂוֹן לִבִּי הֵֽמָּה׃ nachalti edoteikha leolam ki-seson libi hemahThy testimonies have I taken as a heritage for ever; for they are the rejoicing of my heart. קיב112 נָטִיתִי לִבִּי לַעֲשׂוֹת חֻקֶּיךָ לְעוֹלָם עֵֽקֶב׃ natiti libi laasot chukeikha leolam ekevI have inclined my heart to perform Thy statutes, for ever, at every step. קיג113 סֵעֲפִים שָׂנֵאתִי וְֽתוֹרָתְךָ אָהָֽבְתִּי׃ seafim saneti vetoratkha ahavtiSAMECH. I hate them that are of a double mind; but Thy law do I love. קיד114 סִתְרִי וּמָגִנִּי אָתָּה לִדְבָרְךָ יִחָֽלְתִּי׃ sitri umagini atah lidvarkha yichaltiThou art my covert and my shield; in Thy word do I hope. קטו115 סֽוּרוּ־מִמֶּנִּי מְרֵעִים וְאֶצְּרָה מִצְוֺת אֱלֹהָֽי׃ suru-mimeni mereim veetzrah mitzot elohayDepart from me, ye evildoers; that I may keep the commandments of my G-d. קטז116 סָמְכֵנִי כְאִמְרָתְךָ וְאֶֽחְיֶה וְאַל־תְּבִישֵׁנִי מִשִּׂבְרִֽי׃ samkheni kheimratkha veechyeh veal-tevisheni misiveriUphold me according unto Thy word, that I may live; and put me not to shame in my hope. קיז117 סְעָדֵנִי וְאִוָּשֵׁעָה וְאֶשְׁעָה בְחֻקֶּיךָ תָמִֽיד׃ seadeni veivasheah veeshah vechukeikha tamidSupport Thou me, and I shall be saved; and I will occupy myself with Thy statutes continually. קיח118 סָלִיתָ כָּל־שׁוֹגִים מֵחֻקֶּיךָ כִּי־שֶׁקֶר תַּרְמִיתָֽם׃ salita kal-shogim mechukeikha ki-sheker taremitamThou hast made light of all them that err from Thy statutes; for their deceit is vain. קיט119 סִגִים הִשְׁבַּתָּ כָל־רִשְׁעֵי־אָרֶץ לָכֵן אָהַבְתִּי עֵדֹתֶֽיךָ׃ sigim hishbata khal-rishei-aretz lakhen ahavti edoteikhaThou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross; therefore I love Thy testimonies. קכ120 סָמַר מִפַּחְדְּךָ בְשָׂרִי וּֽמִמִּשְׁפָּטֶיךָ יָרֵֽאתִי׃ samar mipachedkha vesari umimishepateikha yaretiMy flesh shuddereth for fear of Thee; and I am afraid of Thy judgments. קכא121 עָשִׂיתִי מִשְׁפָּט וָצֶדֶק בַּל־תַּנִּיחֵנִי לְעֹֽשְׁקָֽי׃ asiti mishpat vatzedek bal-tanicheni leoshkayAIN. I have done justice and righteousness; leave me not to mine oppressors. קכב122 עֲרֹב עַבְדְּךָ לְטוֹב אַֽל־יַעַשְׁקֻנִי זֵדִֽים׃ arov avdkha letov al-yaashkuni zedimBe surety for Thy servant for good; let not the proud oppress me. קכג123 עֵינַי כָּלוּ לִֽישׁוּעָתֶךָ וּלְאִמְרַת צִדְקֶֽךָ׃ einay kalu lishuatekha ulimrat tzidkekhaMine eyes fail for Thy salvation, and for Thy righteous word. קכד124 עֲשֵׂה עִם־עַבְדְּךָ כְחַסְדֶּךָ וְחֻקֶּיךָ לַמְּדֵֽנִי׃ aseh im-avdkha khechasdekha vechukeikha lamdeniDeal with Thy servant according unto Thy mercy, and teach me Thy statutes. קכה125 עַבְדְּךָ־אָנִי הֲבִינֵנִי וְאֵדְעָה עֵדֹתֶֽיךָ׃ avdkha-ani havineni veedah edoteikhaI am Thy servant, give me understanding, that I may know Thy testimonies. קכו126 עֵת לַעֲשׂוֹת לַיהוָה הֵפֵרוּ תּוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃ et laasot layhvah heferu toratekhaIt is time for HaShem to work; they have made void Thy law. קכז127 עַל־כֵּן אָהַבְתִּי מִצְוֺתֶיךָ מִזָּהָב וּמִפָּֽז׃ al-ken ahavti mitzoteikha mizahav umipazTherefore I love Thy commandments above gold, yea, above fine gold. קכח128 עַל־כֵּן ׀ כָּל־פִּקּוּדֵי כֹל יִשָּׁרְתִּי כָּל־אֹרַח שֶׁקֶר שָׂנֵֽאתִי׃ al-ken ׀ kal-pikudei khol yishareti kal-orach sheker sanetiTherefore I esteem all Thy precepts concerning all things to be right; every false way I hate. קכט129 פְּלָאוֹת עֵדְוֺתֶיךָ עַל־כֵּן נְצָרָתַם נַפְשִֽׁי׃ pelaot edoteikha al-ken netzaratam nafshiPE. Thy testimonies are wonderful; therefore doth my soul keep them. קל130 פֵּתַח דְּבָרֶיךָ יָאִיר מֵבִין פְּתָיִֽים׃ petach devareikha yair mevin petayimThe opening of Thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. קלא131 פִּֽי־פָעַרְתִּי וָאֶשְׁאָפָה כִּי לְמִצְוֺתֶיךָ יָאָֽבְתִּי׃ pi-faarti vaeshafah ki lemitzoteikha yaavtiI opened wide my mouth, and panted; for I longed for Thy commandments. קלב132 פְּנֵה־אֵלַי וְחָנֵּנִי כְּמִשְׁפָּט לְאֹהֲבֵי שְׁמֶֽךָ׃ peneh-elay vechaneni kemishpat leohavei shemekhaTurn Thee towards me, and be gracious unto me, as is Thy wont to do unto those that love Thy name. קלג133 פְּעָמַי הָכֵן בְּאִמְרָתֶךָ וְֽאַל־תַּשְׁלֶט־בִּי כָל־אָֽוֶן׃ peamay hakhen beimratekha veal-tashelet-bi khal-avenOrder my footsteps by Thy word; and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. קלד134 פְּדֵנִי מֵעֹשֶׁק אָדָם וְאֶשְׁמְרָה פִּקּוּדֶֽיךָ׃ pedeni meoshek adam veeshmrah pikudeikhaRedeem me from the oppression of man, and I will observe Thy precepts. קלה135 פָּנֶיךָ הָאֵר בְּעַבְדֶּךָ וְלַמְּדֵנִי אֶת־חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃ paneikha haer beavdekha velamdeni et-chukeikhaMake Thy face to shine upon Thy servant; and teach me Thy statutes. קלו136 פַּלְגֵי־מַיִם יָרְדוּ עֵינָי עַל לֹא־שָׁמְרוּ תוֹרָתֶֽךָ׃ palegei-mayim yardu einay al lo-shamru toratekhaMine eyes run down with rivers of water, because they observe not Thy law. קלז137 צַדִּיק אַתָּה יְיָ וְיָשָׁר מִשְׁפָּטֶֽיךָ׃ tzadik atah Adonai veyashar mishpateikhaTZADE. Righteous art Thou, O HaShem, and upright are Thy judgments. קלח138 צִוִּיתָ צֶדֶק עֵדֹתֶיךָ וֶֽאֱמוּנָה מְאֹֽד׃ tzivita tzedek edoteikha veemunah meodThou hast commanded Thy testimonies in righteousness and exceeding faithfulness. קלט139 צִמְּתַתְנִי קִנְאָתִי כִּֽי־שָׁכְחוּ דְבָרֶיךָ צָרָֽי׃ tzimtatni kinati ki-shakhchu devareikha tzarayMy zeal hath undone me, because mine adversaries have forgotten Thy words. קמ140 צְרוּפָה אִמְרָתְךָ מְאֹד וְֽעַבְדְּךָ אֲהֵבָֽהּ׃ tzerufah imratkha meod veavdkha ahevahThy word is tried to the uttermost, and Thy servant loveth it. קמא141 צָעִיר אָנֹכִי וְנִבְזֶה פִּקֻּדֶיךָ לֹא שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃ tzair anokhi venivzeh pikudeikha lo shakhachtiI am small and despised; yet have I not forgotten Thy precepts. קמב142 צִדְקָתְךָ צֶדֶק לְעוֹלָם וְֽתוֹרָתְךָ אֱמֶֽת׃ tzidkatkha tzedek leolam vetoratkha emetThy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Thy law is the truth. קמג143 צַר־וּמָצוֹק מְצָאוּנִי מִצְוֺתֶיךָ שַׁעֲשֻׁעָֽי׃ tzar-umatzok metzauni mitzoteikha shaashuayTrouble and anguish have overtaken me; yet Thy commandments are my delight. קמד144 צֶדֶק עֵדְוֺתֶיךָ לְעוֹלָם הֲבִינֵנִי וְאֶחְיֶֽה׃ tzedek edoteikha leolam havineni veechyehThy testimonies are righteous for ever; give me understanding, and I shall live. קמה145 קָרָאתִי בְכָל־לֵב עֲנֵנִי יְיָ חֻקֶּיךָ אֶצֹּֽרָה׃ karati vekhal-lev aneni Adonai chukeikha etzorahKOPH. I have called with my whole heart; answer me, O HaShem; I will keep Thy statutes. קמו146 קְרָאתִיךָ הוֹשִׁיעֵנִי וְאֶשְׁמְרָה עֵדֹתֶֽיךָ׃ keratikha hoshiyeni veeshmrah edoteikhaI have called Thee, save me, and I will observe Thy testimonies. קמז147 קִדַּמְתִּי בַנֶּשֶׁף וָאֲשַׁוֵּעָה לדבריך יִחָֽלְתִּי׃ kidameti vaneshef vaashaveah ldvrykh yichaltiI rose early at dawn, and cried; I hoped in Thy word. קמח148 קִדְּמוּ עֵינַי אַשְׁמֻרוֹת לָשִׂיחַ בְּאִמְרָתֶֽךָ׃ kidmu einay ashmurot lasicha beimratekhaMine eyes forestalled the night-watches, that I might meditate in Thy word. קמט149 קוֹלִי שִׁמְעָה כְחַסְדֶּךָ יְיָ כְּֽמִשְׁפָּטֶךָ חַיֵּֽנִי׃ koli shimah khechasdekha Adonai kemishpatekha chayeniHear my voice according unto Thy lovingkindness; quicken me, O HaShem, as Thou art wont. קנ150 קָרְבוּ רֹדְפֵי זִמָּה מִתּוֹרָתְךָ רָחָֽקוּ׃ karvu rodfei zimah mitoratkha rachakuThey draw nigh that follow after wickedness; they are far from Thy law. קנא151 קָרוֹב אַתָּה יְיָ וְֽכָל־מִצְוֺתֶיךָ אֱמֶֽת׃ karov atah Adonai vekhal-mitzoteikha emetThou art nigh, O HaShem; and all Thy commandments are truth. קנב152 קֶדֶם יָדַעְתִּי מֵעֵדֹתֶיךָ כִּי לְעוֹלָם יְסַדְתָּֽם׃ kedem yadati meedoteikha ki leolam yesadtamOf old have I known from Thy testimonies that Thou hast founded them for ever. קנג153 רְאֵֽה־עָנְיִי וְחַלְּצֵנִי כִּי־תֽוֹרָתְךָ לֹא שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃ reeh-anyi vechaltzeni ki-toratkha lo shakhachtiRESH. O see mine affliction, and rescue me; for I do not forget Thy law. קנד154 רִיבָה רִיבִי וּגְאָלֵנִי לְאִמְרָתְךָ חַיֵּֽנִי׃ rivah rivi ugaleni leimratkha chayeniPlead Thou my cause, and redeem me; quicken me according to Thy word. קנה155 רָחוֹק מֵרְשָׁעִים יְשׁוּעָה כִּֽי־חֻקֶּיךָ לֹא דָרָֽשׁוּ׃ rachok mershaim yeshuah ki-chukeikha lo darashuSalvation is far from the wicked; for they seek not Thy statutes. קנו156 רַחֲמֶיךָ רַבִּים ׀ יְיָ כְּֽמִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ חַיֵּֽנִי׃ rachameikha rabim ׀ Adonai kemishpateikha chayeniGreat are Thy compassions, O HaShem; quicken me as Thou art wont. קנז157 רַבִּים רֹדְפַי וְצָרָי מֵעֵדְוֺתֶיךָ לֹא נָטִֽיתִי׃ rabim rodfay vetzaray meedoteikha lo natitiMany are my persecutors and mine adversaries; yet have I not turned aside from Thy testimonies. קנח158 רָאִיתִי בֹגְדִים וָֽאֶתְקוֹטָטָה אֲשֶׁר אִמְרָתְךָ לֹא שָׁמָֽרוּ׃ raiti vogdim vaetkotatah asher imratkha lo shamaruI beheld them that were faithless, and strove with them; because they observed not Thy word. קנט159 רְאֵה כִּי־פִקּוּדֶיךָ אָהָבְתִּי יְיָ כְּֽחַסְדְּךָ חַיֵּֽנִי׃ reeh ki-fikudeikha ahavti Adonai kechasdkha chayeniO see how I love Thy precepts; quicken me, O HaShem, according to Thy lovingkindness. קס160 רֹאשׁ־דְּבָרְךָ אֱמֶת וּלְעוֹלָם כָּל־מִשְׁפַּט צִדְקֶֽךָ׃ rosh-devarkha emet ulolam kal-mishpat tzidkekhaThe beginning of Thy word is truth; and all Thy righteous ordinance endureth for ever. קסא161 שָׂרִים רְדָפוּנִי חִנָּם ומדבריך פָּחַד לִבִּֽי׃ sarim redafuni chinam vmdvrykh pachad libiSCHIN. Princes have persecuted me without a cause; but my heart standeth in awe of Thy words. קסב162 שָׂשׂ אָנֹכִֽי עַל־אִמְרָתֶךָ כְּמוֹצֵא שָׁלָל רָֽב׃ sas anokhi al-imratekha kemotze shalal ravI rejoice at Thy word, as one that findeth great spoil. קסג163 שֶׁקֶר שָׂנֵאתִי וַאֲתַעֵבָה תּוֹרָתְךָ אָהָֽבְתִּי׃ sheker saneti vaataevah toratkha ahavtiI hate and abhor falsehood; Thy law do I love. קסד164 שֶׁבַע בַּיּוֹם הִלַּלְתִּיךָ עַל מִשְׁפְּטֵי צִדְקֶֽךָ׃ sheva bayom hilaletikha al mishptei tzidkekhaSeven times a day do I praise Thee, because of Thy righteous ordinances. קסה165 שָׁלוֹם רָב לְאֹהֲבֵי תוֹרָתֶךָ וְאֵֽין־לָמוֹ מִכְשֽׁוֹל׃ shalom rav leohavei toratekha veein-lamo mikhsholGreat peace have they that love Thy law; and there is no stumbling for them. קסו166 שִׂבַּרְתִּי לִֽישׁוּעָתְךָ יְיָ וּֽמִצְוֺתֶיךָ עָשִֽׂיתִי׃ sibareti lishuatkha Adonai umitzoteikha asitiI have hoped for Thy salvation, O HaShem, and have done Thy commandments. קסז167 שָֽׁמְרָה נַפְשִׁי עֵדֹתֶיךָ וָאֹהֲבֵם מְאֹֽד׃ shamrah nafshi edoteikha vaohavem meodMy soul hath observed Thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly. קסח168 שָׁמַרְתִּי פִקּוּדֶיךָ וְעֵדֹתֶיךָ כִּי כָל־דְּרָכַי נֶגְדֶּֽךָ׃ shamarti fikudeikha veedoteikha ki khal-derakhay negdekhaI have observed Thy precepts and Thy testimonies; for all my ways are before Thee. קסט169 תִּקְרַב רִנָּתִי לְפָנֶיךָ יְיָ כִּדְבָרְךָ הֲבִינֵֽנִי׃ tikerav rinati lefaneikha Adonai kidevarkha havineniTAV. Let my cry come near before Thee, O HaShem; give me understanding according to Thy word. קע170 תָּבוֹא תְּחִנָּתִי לְפָנֶיךָ כְּאִמְרָתְךָ הַצִּילֵֽנִי׃ tavo techinati lefaneikha keimratkha hatzileniLet my supplication come before Thee; deliver me according to Thy word. קעא171 תַּבַּעְנָה שְׂפָתַי תְּהִלָּה כִּי תְלַמְּדֵנִי חֻקֶּֽיךָ׃ tabaenah sefatay tehilah ki telamdeni chukeikhaLet my lips utter praise: because Thou teachest me Thy statutes. קעב172 תַּעַן לְשׁוֹנִי אִמְרָתֶךָ כִּי כָל־מִצְוֺתֶיךָ צֶּֽדֶק׃ taan leshoni imratekha ki khal-mitzoteikha tzedekLet my tongue sing of Thy word; for all Thy commandments are righteousness. קעג173 תְּהִֽי־יָדְךָ לְעָזְרֵנִי כִּי פִקּוּדֶיךָ בָחָֽרְתִּי׃ tehi-yadkha leazreni ki fikudeikha vachartiLet Thy hand be ready to help me; for I have chosen Thy precepts. קעד174 תָּאַבְתִּי לִֽישׁוּעָתְךָ יְיָ וְתֽוֹרָתְךָ שַׁעֲשֻׁעָֽי׃ taavti lishuatkha Adonai vetoratkha shaashuayI have longed for Thy salvation, O HaShem; and Thy law is my delight. קעה175 תְּֽחִי־נַפְשִׁי וּֽתְהַֽלְלֶךָּ וּֽמִשְׁפָּטֶךָ יַעֲזְרֻֽנִי׃ techi-nafshi uthalleka umishpatekha yaazruniLet my soul live, and it shall praise Thee; and let Thine ordinances help me. קעו176 תָּעִיתִי כְּשֶׂה אֹבֵד בַּקֵּשׁ עַבְדֶּךָ כִּי מִצְוֺתֶיךָ לֹא שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃ taiti keseh oved bakesh avdekha ki mitzoteikha lo shakhachtiI have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Thy servant; for I have not forgotten Thy commandments.
