א1 לְדָוִד אֵלֶיךָ יְיָ נַפְשִׁי אֶשָּֽׂא׃ ledavid eleikha Adonai nafshi esaA Psalm of David. Unto Thee, O HaShem, do I lift up my soul. ב2 אֱֽלֹהַי בְּךָ בָטַחְתִּי אַל־אֵבוֹשָׁה אַל־יַֽעַלְצוּ אֹיְבַי לִֽי׃ elohay bekha vatachti al-evoshah al-yaaltzu oyvay liO my G-d, in Thee have I trusted, let me not be ashamed; let not mine enemies triumph over me. ג3 גַּם כָּל־קֹוֶיךָ לֹא יֵבֹשׁוּ יֵבֹשׁוּ הַבּוֹגְדִים רֵיקָֽם׃ gam kal-koveikha lo yevoshu yevoshu habogdim reikamYea, none that wait for Thee shall be ashamed; they shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause. ד4 דְּרָכֶיךָ יְיָ הוֹדִיעֵנִי אֹרְחוֹתֶיךָ לַמְּדֵֽנִי׃ derakheikha Adonai hodiyeni orchoteikha lamdeniShow me Thy ways, O HaShem; teach me Thy paths. ה5 הַדְרִיכֵנִי בַאֲמִתֶּךָ ׀ וְֽלַמְּדֵנִי כִּֽי־אַתָּה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׁעִי אוֹתְךָ קִוִּיתִי כָּל־הַיּֽוֹם׃ hadrikheni vaamitekha ׀ velamdeni ki-atah Elohei yishi otkha kiviti kal-hayomGuide me in Thy truth, and teach me; for Thou art the G-d of my salvation; for Thee do I wait all the day. ו6 זְכֹר־רַחֲמֶיךָ יְיָ וַחֲסָדֶיךָ כִּי מֵעוֹלָם הֵֽמָּה׃ zekhor-rachameikha Adonai vachasadeikha ki meolam hemahRemember, O HaShem, Thy compassions and Thy mercies; for they have been from of old. ז7 חַטֹּאות נְעוּרַי ׀ וּפְשָׁעַי אַל־תִּזְכֹּר כְּחַסְדְּךָ זְכָר־לִי־אַתָּה לְמַעַן טוּבְךָ יְהוָֽה׃ chatovt neuray ׀ ufshaay al-tizekor kechasdkha zekhar-li-atah lemaan tuvkha AdonaiRemember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to Thy mercy remember Thou me, for Thy goodness' sake, O HaShem. ח8 טוֹב־וְיָשָׁר יְיָ עַל־כֵּן יוֹרֶה חַטָּאִים בַּדָּֽרֶךְ׃ tov-veyashar Adonai al-ken yoreh chataim badarekhGood and upright is HaShem; therefore doth He instruct sinners in the way. ט9 יַדְרֵךְ עֲנָוִים בַּמִּשְׁפָּט וִֽילַמֵּד עֲנָוִים דַּרְכּֽוֹ׃ yadrekh anavim bamishepat vilamed anavim darekoHe guideth The humble in justice; and He teacheth the humble His way. י10 כָּל־אָרְחוֹת יְיָ חֶסֶד וֶאֱמֶת לְנֹצְרֵי בְרִיתוֹ וְעֵדֹתָֽיו׃ kal-archot Adonai chesed veemet lenotzrei verito veedotayvAll the paths of HaShem are mercy and truth unto such as keep His covenant and His testimonies. יא11 לְמַֽעַן־שִׁמְךָ יְיָ וְֽסָלַחְתָּ לַעֲוֺנִי כִּי רַב־הֽוּא׃ lemaan-shimkha Adonai vesalachta laaoni ki rav-huFor Thy name's sake, O HaShem, pardon mine iniquity, for it is great. יב12 מִי־זֶה הָאִישׁ יְרֵא יְיָ יוֹרֶנּוּ בְּדֶרֶךְ יִבְחָֽר׃ mi-zeh haish yere Adonai yorenu bederekh yivcharWhat man is he that feareth HaShem? him will He instruct in the way that He should choose. יג13 נַפְשׁוֹ בְּטוֹב תָּלִין וְזַרְעוֹ יִירַשׁ אָֽרֶץ׃ nafsho betov talin vezaro yirash aretzHis soul shall abide in prosperity; and his seed shall inherit the land. יד14 סוֹד יְיָ לִירֵאָיו וּבְרִיתוֹ לְהוֹדִיעָֽם׃ sod Adonai lireayv uvrito lehodiyamThe counsel of HaShem is with them that fear Him; and His covenant, to make them know it. טו15 עֵינַי תָּמִיד אֶל־יְיָ כִּי הֽוּא־יוֹצִיא מֵרֶשֶׁת רַגְלָֽי׃ einay tamid el-Adonai ki hu-yotzi mereshet raglayMine eyes are ever toward HaShem; for He will bring forth my feet out of the net. טז16 פְּנֵה־אֵלַי וְחָנֵּנִי כִּֽי־יָחִיד וְעָנִי אָֽנִי׃ peneh-elay vechaneni ki-yachid veani aniTurn Thee unto me, and be gracious unto me; for I am solitary and afflicted. יז17 צָרוֹת לְבָבִי הִרְחִיבוּ מִמְּצֽוּקוֹתַי הוֹצִיאֵֽנִי׃ tzarot levavi hirchivu mimtzukotay hotziyeniThe troubles of my heart are enlarged; O bring Thou me out of my distresses. יח18 רְאֵה עָנְיִי וַעֲמָלִי וְשָׂא לְכָל־חַטֹּאותָֽי׃ reeh anyi vaamali vesa lekhal-chatovtaySee mine affliction and my travail; and forgive all my sins. יט19 רְאֵֽה־אוֹיְבַי כִּי־רָבּוּ וְשִׂנְאַת חָמָס שְׂנֵאֽוּנִי׃ reeh-oyvay ki-rabu vesinat chamas seneuniConsider how many are mine enemies, and the cruel hatred wherewith they hate me. כ20 שָׁמְרָה נַפְשִׁי וְהַצִּילֵנִי אַל־אֵבוֹשׁ כִּֽי־חָסִיתִי בָֽךְ׃ shamrah nafshi vehatzileni al-evosh ki-chasiti vakhO keep my soul, and deliver me; let me not be ashamed, for I have taken refuge in Thee. כא21 תֹּם־וָיֹשֶׁר יִצְּרוּנִי כִּי קִוִּיתִֽיךָ׃ tom-vayosher yitzruni ki kivitikhaLet integrity and uprightness preserve me, because I wait for Thee. כב22 פְּדֵה אֱלֹהִים אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל מִכֹּל צָֽרוֹתָיו׃ pedeh Elohim et-yisrael mikol tzarotayvRedeem Israel, O G-d, out of all his troubles.
