א1 הוֹדוּ לַיהוָה קִרְאוּ בִּשְׁמוֹ הוֹדִיעוּ בָעַמִּים עֲלִילוֹתָֽיו׃ hodu layhvah kiru bishemo hodiyu vaamim alilotayvO give thanks unto HaShem, call upon His name; make known His doings among the peoples. ב2 שִֽׁירוּ־לוֹ זַמְּרוּ־לוֹ שִׂיחוּ בְּכָל־נִפְלְאוֹתָֽיו׃ shiru-lo zamru-lo sichu bekhal-niflotayvSing unto Him, sing praises unto Him; speak ye of all His marvellous works. ג3 הִֽתְהַלְלוּ בְּשֵׁם קָדְשׁוֹ יִשְׂמַח לֵב ׀ מְבַקְשֵׁי יְהוָֽה׃ hithallu beshem kadsho yismach lev ׀ mevakshei AdonaiGlory ye in His holy name; let the heart of them rejoice that seek HaShem. ד4 דִּרְשׁוּ יְיָ וְעֻזּוֹ בַּקְּשׁוּ פָנָיו תָּמִֽיד׃ direshu Adonai veuzo bakeshu fanayv tamidSeek ye HaShem and His strength; seek His face continually. ה5 זִכְרוּ נִפְלְאוֹתָיו אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂה מֹפְתָיו וּמִשְׁפְּטֵי־פִֽיו׃ zikhru niflotayv asher-asah moftayv umishptei-fivRemember His marvellous works that He hath done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth; ו6 זֶרַע אַבְרָהָם עַבְדּוֹ בְּנֵי יַעֲקֹב בְּחִירָֽיו׃ zera avraham avdo benei yaakov bechirayvO ye seed of Abraham His servant, ye children of Jacob, His chosen ones. ז7 הוּא יְיָ אֱלֹהֵינוּ בְּכָל־הָאָרֶץ מִשְׁפָּטָֽיו׃ hu Adonai eloheinu bekhal-haaretz mishpatayvHe is HaShem our G-d; His judgments are in all the earth. ח8 זָכַר לְעוֹלָם בְּרִיתוֹ דָּבָר צִוָּה לְאֶלֶף דּֽוֹר׃ zakhar leolam berito davar tzivah leelef dorHe hath remembered His covenant for ever, the word which He commanded to a thousand generations; ט9 אֲשֶׁר כָּרַת אֶת־אַבְרָהָם וּשְׁבוּעָתוֹ לְיִשְׂחָֽק׃ asher karat et-avraham ushvuato leyischakThe covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath unto Isaac; י10 וַיַּֽעֲמִידֶהָ לְיַעֲקֹב לְחֹק לְיִשְׂרָאֵל בְּרִית עוֹלָֽם׃ vayaamideha leyaakov lechok leyisrael berit olamAnd He established it unto Jacob for a statute, to Israel for an everlasting covenant; יא11 לֵאמֹר לְךָ אֶתֵּן אֶת־אֶֽרֶץ־כְּנָעַן חֶבֶל נַחֲלַתְכֶֽם׃ lemor lekha eten et-eretz-kenaan chevel nachalatkhemSaying: 'Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.' יב12 בִּֽהְיוֹתָם מְתֵי מִסְפָּר כִּמְעַט וְגָרִים בָּֽהּ׃ biheyotam metei mispar kimeat vegarim bahWhen they were but a few men in number. Yea, very few, and sojourners in it, יג13 וַֽיִּתְהַלְּכוּ מִגּוֹי אֶל־גּוֹי מִמַּמְלָכָה אֶל־עַם אַחֵֽר׃ vayitehalkhu migoy el-goy mimamelakhah el-am acherAnd when they went about from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people, יד14 לֹֽא־הִנִּיחַ אָדָם לְעָשְׁקָם וַיּוֹכַח עֲלֵיהֶם מְלָכִֽים׃ lo-hinicha adam leashkam vayokhach aleihem melakhimHe suffered no man to do them wrong, yea, for their sake He reproved kings: טו15 אַֽל־תִּגְּעוּ בִמְשִׁיחָי וְלִנְבִיאַי אַל־תָּרֵֽעוּ׃ al-tigeu vimshichay velinviyay al-tareu'Touch not Mine anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm.' טז16 וַיִּקְרָא רָעָב עַל־הָאָרֶץ כָּֽל־מַטֵּה־לֶחֶם שָׁבָֽר׃ vayikera raav al-haaretz kal-mateh-lechem shavarAnd He called a famine upon the land; He broke the whole staff of bread. יז17 שָׁלַח לִפְנֵיהֶם אִישׁ לְעֶבֶד נִמְכַּר יוֹסֵֽף׃ shalach lifneihem ish leeved nimkar yosefHe sent a man before them; Joseph was sold for a servant; יח18 עִנּוּ בַכֶּבֶל רגליו בַּרְזֶל בָּאָה נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃ inu vakevel rglyv barezel baah nafshoHis feet they hurt with fetters, his person was laid in iron; יט19 עַד־עֵת בֹּֽא־דְבָרוֹ אִמְרַת יְיָ צְרָפָֽתְהוּ׃ ad-et bo-devaro imrat Adonai tzerafathuUntil the time that his word came to pass, the word of HaShem tested him. כ20 שָׁלַח מֶלֶךְ וַיַּתִּירֵהוּ מֹשֵׁל עַמִּים וַֽיְפַתְּחֵֽהוּ׃ shalach melekh vayatirehu moshel amim vayfatchehuThe king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the peoples, and set him free. כא21 שָׂמוֹ אָדוֹן לְבֵיתוֹ וּמֹשֵׁל בְּכָל־קִנְיָנֽוֹ׃ samo adon leveito umoshel bekhal-kinyanoHe made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his possessions; כב22 לֶאְסֹר שָׂרָיו בְּנַפְשׁוֹ וּזְקֵנָיו יְחַכֵּֽם׃ lesor sarayv benafsho uzkenayv yechakemTo bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom. כג23 וַיָּבֹא יִשְׂרָאֵל מִצְרָיִם וְיַעֲקֹב גָּר בְּאֶֽרֶץ־חָֽם׃ vayavo yisrael mitzrayim veyaakov gar beeretz-chamIsrael also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham. כד24 וַיֶּפֶר אֶת־עַמּוֹ מְאֹד וַיַּֽעֲצִמֵהוּ מִצָּרָֽיו׃ vayefer et-amo meod vayaatzimehu mitzarayvAnd He increased His people greatly, and made them too mighty for their adversaries. כה25 הָפַךְ לִבָּם לִשְׂנֹא עַמּוֹ לְהִתְנַכֵּל בַּעֲבָדָֽיו׃ hafakh libam lisno amo lehitnakel baavadayvHe turned their heart to hate His people, to deal craftily with His servants. כו26 שָׁלַח מֹשֶׁה עַבְדּוֹ אַהֲרֹן אֲשֶׁר בָּֽחַר־בּֽוֹ׃ shalach mosheh avdo aharon asher bachar-boHe sent Moses His servant, and Aaron whom He had chosen. כז27 שָֽׂמוּ־בָם דִּבְרֵי אֹתוֹתָיו וּמֹפְתִים בְּאֶרֶץ חָֽם׃ samu-vam diverei ototayv umoftim beeretz chamThey wrought among them His manifold signs, and wonders in the land of Ham. כח28 שָׁלַֽח חֹשֶׁךְ וַיַּחְשִׁךְ וְלֹֽא־מָרוּ אֶת־דברוו׃ shalach choshekh vayacheshikh velo-maru et-dvrvvHe sent darkness, and it was dark; and they rebelled not against His word. כט29 הָפַךְ אֶת־מֵימֵיהֶם לְדָם וַיָּמֶת אֶת־דְּגָתָֽם׃ hafakh et-meimeihem ledam vayamet et-degatamHe turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish. ל30 שָׁרַץ אַרְצָם צְפַרְדְּעִים בְּחַדְרֵי מַלְכֵיהֶֽם׃ sharatz artzam tzefardim bechadrei malkheihemTheir land swarmed with frogs, in the chambers of their kings. לא31 אָמַר וַיָּבֹא עָרֹב כִּנִּים בְּכָל־גְּבוּלָֽם׃ amar vayavo arov kinim bekhal-gevulamHe spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats in all their borders. לב32 נָתַן גִּשְׁמֵיהֶם בָּרָד אֵשׁ לֶהָבוֹת בְּאַרְצָֽם׃ natan gishemeihem barad esh lehavot beartzamHe gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land. לג33 וַיַּךְ גַּפְנָם וּתְאֵנָתָם וַיְשַׁבֵּר עֵץ גְּבוּלָֽם׃ vayakhe gafenam utenatam vayshaber etz gevulamHe smote their vines also and their fig-trees; and broke the trees of their borders. לד34 אָמַר וַיָּבֹא אַרְבֶּה וְיֶלֶק וְאֵין מִסְפָּֽר׃ amar vayavo arbeh veyelek veein misparHe spoke, and the locust came, and the canker-worm without number, לה35 וַיֹּאכַל כָּל־עֵשֶׂב בְּאַרְצָם וַיֹּאכַל פְּרִי אַדְמָתָֽם׃ vayokhal kal-esev beartzam vayokhal peri admatamAnd did eat up every herb in their land, and did eat up the fruit of their ground. לו36 וַיַּךְ כָּל־בְּכוֹר בְּאַרְצָם רֵאשִׁית לְכָל־אוֹנָֽם׃ vayakhe kal-bekhor beartzam reshit lekhal-onamHe smote also all the first-born in their land, the first-fruits of all their strength. לז37 וַֽיּוֹצִיאֵם בְּכֶסֶף וְזָהָב וְאֵין בִּשְׁבָטָיו כּוֹשֵֽׁל׃ vayotziyem bekhesef vezahav veein bishevatayv koshelAnd He brought them forth with silver and gold; and there was none that stumbled among His tribes. לח38 שָׂמַח מִצְרַיִם בְּצֵאתָם כִּֽי־נָפַל פַּחְדָּם עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ samach mitzrayim betzetam ki-nafal pachedam aleihemEgypt was glad when they departed; for the fear of them had fallen upon them. לט39 פָּרַשׂ עָנָן לְמָסָךְ וְאֵשׁ לְהָאִיר לָֽיְלָה׃ paras anan lemasakh veesh lehair laylahHe spread a cloud for a screen; and fire to give light in the night. מ40 שָׁאַל וַיָּבֵא שְׂלָו וְלֶחֶם שָׁמַיִם יַשְׂבִּיעֵֽם׃ shaal vayave selav velechem shamayim yasbiyemThey asked, and He brought quails, and gave them in plenty the bread of heaven. מא41 פָּתַח צוּר וַיָּזוּבוּ מָיִם הָלְכוּ בַּצִּיּוֹת נָהָֽר׃ patach tzur vayazuvu mayim halkhu batziyot naharHe opened the rock, and waters gushed out; they ran, a river in the dry places. מב42 כִּֽי־זָכַר אֶת־דְּבַר קָדְשׁוֹ אֶֽת־אַבְרָהָם עַבְדּֽוֹ׃ ki-zakhar et-devar kadsho et-avraham avdoFor He remembered His holy word unto Abraham His servant; מג43 וַיּוֹצִא עַמּוֹ בְשָׂשׂוֹן בְּרִנָּה אֶת־בְּחִירָֽיו׃ vayotzi amo vesason berinah et-bechirayvAnd He brought forth His people with joy, His chosen ones with singing. מד44 וַיִּתֵּן לָהֶם אַרְצוֹת גּוֹיִם וַעֲמַל לְאֻמִּים יִירָֽשׁוּ׃ vayiten lahem artzot goyim vaamal leumim yirashuAnd He gave them the lands of the nations, and they took the labour of the peoples in possession; מה45 בַּעֲבוּר ׀ יִשְׁמְרוּ חֻקָּיו וְתוֹרֹתָיו יִנְצֹרוּ הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃ baavur ׀ yishmru chukayv vetorotayv yintzoru hallu-yahThat they might keep His statutes, and observe His laws. Hallelujah.
