א1 לַמְנַצֵּחַ עַלְמוּת לַבֵּן מִזְמוֹר לְדָוִֽד׃ lamnatzecha almut laben mizmor ledavidFor the Leader; upon Muthlabben. A Psalm of David. ב2 אוֹדֶה יְיָ בְּכָל־לִבִּי אֲסַפְּרָה כָּל־נִפְלְאוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ odeh Adonai bekhal-libi asaprah kal-nifloteikhaI will give thanks unto HaShem with my whole heart; I will tell of all Thy marvellous works. ג3 אֶשְׂמְחָה וְאֶעֶלְצָה בָךְ אֲזַמְּרָה שִׁמְךָ עֶלְיֽוֹן׃ esmchah veeltzah vakh azamrah shimkha elyonI will be glad and exult in Thee; I will sing praise to Thy name, O Most High: ד4 בְּשׁוּב־אוֹיְבַי אָחוֹר יִכָּשְׁלוּ וְיֹאבְדוּ מִפָּנֶֽיךָ׃ beshuv-oyvay achor yikashelu veyovdu mipaneikhaWhen mine enemies are turned back, they stumble and perish at Thy presence; ה5 כִּֽי־עָשִׂיתָ מִשְׁפָּטִי וְדִינִי יָשַׁבְתָּ לְכִסֵּא שׁוֹפֵט צֶֽדֶק׃ ki-asita mishpati vedini yashavta lekhise shofet tzedekFor Thou hast maintained my right and my cause; Thou sattest upon the throne as the righteous Judge. ו6 גָּעַרְתָּ גוֹיִם אִבַּדְתָּ רָשָׁע שְׁמָם מָחִיתָ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶֽד׃ gaarta goyim ibadeta rasha shemam machita leolam vaedThou hast rebuked the nations, Thou hast destroyed the wicked, Thou hast blotted out their name for ever and ever. ז7 הָֽאוֹיֵב ׀ תַּמּוּ חֳרָבוֹת לָנֶצַח וְעָרִים נָתַשְׁתָּ אָבַד זִכְרָם הֵֽמָּה׃ haoyev ׀ tamu choravot lanetzach vearim natashta avad zikhram hemahO thou enemy, the waste places are come to an end for ever; and the cities which thou didst uproot, their very memorial is perished. ח8 וַֽיהוָה לְעוֹלָם יֵשֵׁב כּוֹנֵן לַמִּשְׁפָּט כִּסְאֽוֹ׃ vayhvah leolam yeshev konen lamishepat kiseoBut HaShem is enthroned for ever; He hath established His throne for judgment. ט9 וְהוּא יִשְׁפֹּֽט־תֵּבֵל בְּצֶדֶק יָדִין לְאֻמִּים בְּמֵישָׁרִֽים׃ vehu yishpot-tevel betzedek yadin leumim bemeisharimAnd He will judge the world in righteousness, He will minister judgment to the peoples with equity. י10 וִיהִי יְיָ מִשְׂגָּב לַדָּךְ מִשְׂגָּב לְעִתּוֹת בַּצָּרָֽה׃ vihi Adonai misgav ladakhe misgav leitot batzarahHaShem also will be a high tower for the oppressed, a high tower in times of trouble; יא11 וְיִבְטְחוּ בְךָ יוֹדְעֵי שְׁמֶךָ כִּי לֹֽא־עָזַבְתָּ דֹרְשֶׁיךָ יְהוָֽה׃ veyivtchu vekha yodei shemekha ki lo-azavta dorsheikha AdonaiAnd they that know Thy name will put their trust in Thee; for thou, HaShem, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee. יב12 זַמְּרוּ לַיהוָה יֹשֵׁב צִיּוֹן הַגִּידוּ בָעַמִּים עֲלִֽילוֹתָֽיו׃ zamru layhvah yoshev tziyon hagidu vaamim alilotayvSing praises to HaShem, who dwelleth in Zion; declare among the peoples His doings. יג13 כִּֽי־דֹרֵשׁ דָּמִים אוֹתָם זָכָר לֹֽא־שָׁכַח צַעֲקַת עניים׃ ki-doresh damim otam zakhar lo-shakhach tzaakat nyymFor He that avengeth blood hath remembered them; He hath not forgotten the cry of the humble. יד14 חָֽנְנֵנִי יְיָ רְאֵה עָנְיִי מִשֹּׂנְאָי מְרוֹמְמִי מִשַּׁעֲרֵי מָֽוֶת׃ channeni Adonai reeh anyi misoneay merommi mishaarei mavetBe gracious unto me, O HaShem, behold mine affliction at the hands of them that hate me; Thou that liftest me up from the gates of death; טו15 לְמַעַן אֲסַפְּרָה כָּֽל־תְּהִלָּתֶיךָ בְּשַֽׁעֲרֵי בַת־צִיּוֹן אָגִילָה בִּישׁוּעָתֶֽךָ׃ lemaan asaprah kal-tehilateikha beshaarei vat-tziyon agilah bishuatekhaThat I may tell of all Thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion, that I may rejoice in Thy salvation. טז16 טָבְעוּ גוֹיִם בְּשַׁחַת עָשׂוּ בְּרֶֽשֶׁת־זוּ טָמָנוּ נִלְכְּדָה רַגְלָֽם׃ tavu goyim beshachat asu bereshet-zu tamanu nilkdah raglamThe nations are sunk down in the pit that they made; in the net which they hid is their own foot taken. יז17 נוֹדַע ׀ יְיָ מִשְׁפָּט עָשָׂה בְּפֹעַל כַּפָּיו נוֹקֵשׁ רָשָׁע הִגָּיוֹן סֶֽלָה׃ noda ׀ Adonai mishpat asah befoal kapayv nokesh rasha higayon selahHaShem hath made Himself known, He hath executed judgment, the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah יח18 יָשׁוּבוּ רְשָׁעִים לִשְׁאוֹלָה כָּל־גּוֹיִם שְׁכֵחֵי אֱלֹהִֽים׃ yashuvu reshaim lisholah kal-goyim shekhechei elohimThe wicked shall return to the nether-world, even all the nations that forget G-d. יט19 כִּי לֹא לָנֶצַח יִשָּׁכַח אֶבְיוֹן תִּקְוַת ענוים תֹּאבַד לָעַֽד׃ ki lo lanetzach yishakhach evyon tikevat nvym tovad laadFor the needy shall not alway be forgotten, nor the expectation of the poor perish for ever. כ20 קוּמָה יְיָ אַל־יָעֹז אֱנוֹשׁ יִשָּׁפְטוּ גוֹיִם עַל־פָּנֶֽיךָ׃ kumah Adonai al-yaoz enosh yishafetu goyim al-paneikhaArise, O HaShem, let not man prevail; let the nations be judged in Thy sight. כא21 שִׁיתָה יְיָ ׀ מוֹרָה לָהֶם יֵדְעוּ גוֹיִם אֱנוֹשׁ הֵמָּה סֶּֽלָה׃ shitah Adonai ׀ morah lahem yedu goyim enosh hemah selahSet terror over them, O HaShem; let the nations know they are but men.
