א1 לִשְׁלֹמֹה ׀ אֱֽלֹהִים מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ לְמֶלֶךְ תֵּן וְצִדְקָתְךָ לְבֶן־מֶֽלֶךְ׃ lishlomoh ׀ elohim mishpateikha lemelekh ten vetzidkatkha leven-melekhA Psalm of Solomon. Give the king Thy judgments, O G-d, and Thy righteousness unto the king's son; ב2 יָדִין עַמְּךָ בְצֶדֶק וַעֲנִיֶּיךָ בְמִשְׁפָּֽט׃ yadin amkha vetzedek vaaniyeikha vemishpatThat he may judge Thy people with righteousness, and Thy poor with justice. ג3 יִשְׂאוּ הָרִים שָׁלוֹם לָעָם וּגְבָעוֹת בִּצְדָקָֽה׃ yisu harim shalom laam ugvaot bitzedakahLet the mountains bear peace to the people, and the hills, through righteousness. ד4 יִשְׁפֹּט ׀ עֲֽנִיֵּי־עָם יוֹשִׁיעַ לִבְנֵי אֶבְיוֹן וִֽידַכֵּא עוֹשֵֽׁק׃ yishpot ׀ aniyei-am yoshiya livnei evyon vidake oshekMay he judge the poor of the people, and save the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor. ה5 יִֽירָאוּךָ עִם־שָׁמֶשׁ וְלִפְנֵי יָרֵחַ דּוֹר דּוֹרִֽים׃ yiraukha im-shamesh velifnei yarecha dor dorimThey shall fear Thee while the sun endureth, and so long as the moon, throughout all generations. ו6 יֵרֵד כְּמָטָר עַל־גֵּז כִּרְבִיבִים זַרְזִיף אָֽרֶץ׃ yered kematar al-gez kirevivim zarzif aretzMay he come down like rain upon the mown grass, as showers that water the earth. ז7 יִֽפְרַח־בְּיָמָיו צַדִּיק וְרֹב שָׁלוֹם עַד־בְּלִי יָרֵֽחַ׃ yifrach-beyamayv tzadik verov shalom ad-beli yarechaIn his days let the righteous flourish, and abundance of peace, till the moon be no more. ח8 וְיֵרְדְּ מִיָּם עַד־יָם וּמִנָּהָר עַד־אַפְסֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃ veyerd miyam ad-yam uminahar ad-afsei-aretzMay he have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the River unto the ends of the earth. ט9 לְפָנָיו יִכְרְעוּ צִיִּים וְאֹיְבָיו עָפָר יְלַחֵֽכוּ׃ lefanayv yikhru tziyim veoyvayv afar yelachekhuLet them that dwell in the wilderness bow before him; and his enemies lick the dust. י10 מַלְכֵי תַרְשִׁישׁ וְאִיִּים מִנְחָה יָשִׁיבוּ מַלְכֵי שְׁבָא וּסְבָא אֶשְׁכָּר יַקְרִֽיבוּ׃ malkhei tarshish veiyim minchah yashivu malkhei sheva usva eshkar yakrivuThe kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall render tribute; the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. יא11 וְיִשְׁתַּחֲווּ־לוֹ כָל־מְלָכִים כָּל־גּוֹיִם יַֽעַבְדֽוּהוּ׃ veyishtachavu-lo khal-melakhim kal-goyim yaavduhuYea, all kings shall prostrate themselves before him; all nations shall serve him. יב12 כִּֽי־יַצִּיל אֶבְיוֹן מְשַׁוֵּעַ וְעָנִי וְֽאֵין־עֹזֵר לֽוֹ׃ ki-yatzil evyon meshavea veani veein-ozer loFor he will deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper. יג13 יָחֹס עַל־דַּל וְאֶבְיוֹן וְנַפְשׁוֹת אֶבְיוֹנִים יוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃ yachos al-dal veevyon venafshot evyonim yoshiyaHe will have pity on the poor and needy, and the souls of the needy he will save. יד14 מִתּוֹךְ וּמֵחָמָס יִגְאַל נַפְשָׁם וְיֵיקַר דָּמָם בְּעֵינָֽיו׃ mitokh umechamas yigal nafsham veyeikar damam beeinayvHe will redeem their soul from oppression and violence, and precious will their blood be in his sight. טו15 וִיחִי וְיִתֶּן־לוֹ מִזְּהַב שְׁבָא וְיִתְפַּלֵּל בַּעֲדוֹ תָמִיד כָּל־הַיּוֹם יְבָרֲכֶֽנְהֽוּ׃ vichi veyiten-lo mizhav sheva veyitpalel baado tamid kal-hayom yevarakhenhuThat they may live, and that he may give them of the gold of Sheba, that they may pray for him continually, yea, bless him all the day. טז16 יְהִי פִסַּת־בַּר ׀ בָּאָרֶץ בְּרֹאשׁ הָרִים יִרְעַשׁ כַּלְּבָנוֹן פִּרְיוֹ וְיָצִיצוּ מֵעִיר כְּעֵשֶׂב הָאָֽרֶץ׃ yehi fisat-bar ׀ baaretz berosh harim yirash kalevanon pireyo veyatzitzu meir keesev haaretzMay he be as a rich cornfield in the land upon the top of the mountains; may his fruit rustle like Lebanon; and may they blossom out of the city like grass of the earth. יז17 יְהִי שְׁמוֹ לְֽעוֹלָם לִפְנֵי־שֶׁמֶשׁ ינין שְׁמוֹ וְיִתְבָּרְכוּ בוֹ כָּל־גּוֹיִם יְאַשְּׁרֽוּהוּ׃ yehi shemo leolam lifnei-shemesh ynyn shemo veyitbarekhu vo kal-goyim yeashruhuMay his name endure for ever; may his name be continued as long as the sun; may men also bless themselves by him; may all nations call him happy. יח18 בָּרוּךְ ׀ יְיָ אֱלֹהִים אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עֹשֵׂה נִפְלָאוֹת לְבַדּֽוֹ׃ barukh ׀ Adonai Elohim Elohei yisrael oseh niflaot levadoBlessed be HaShem G-d, the G-d of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things; יט19 וּבָרוּךְ ׀ שֵׁם כְּבוֹדוֹ לְעוֹלָם וְיִמָּלֵא כְבוֹדוֹ אֶת־כֹּל הָאָרֶץ אָמֵן ׀ וְאָמֵֽן׃ uvarukh ׀ shem kevodo leolam veyimale khevodo et-kol haaretz amen ׀ veamenAnd blessed be His glorious name for ever; and let the whole earth be filled with His glory. א1 מִזְמוֹר לְאָסָף אַךְ טוֹב לְיִשְׂרָאֵל אֱלֹהִים לְבָרֵי לֵבָֽב׃ mizmor leasaf akh tov leyisrael Elohim levarei levavA Psalm of Asaph. Surely G-d is good to Israel, even to such as are pure in heart. ב2 וַאֲנִי כִּמְעַט נטוי רַגְלָי כְּאַיִן שפכה אֲשֻׁרָֽי׃ vaani kimeat ntvy raglay keayin shfkhh ashurayBut as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. ג3 כִּֽי־קִנֵּאתִי בַּֽהוֹלְלִים שְׁלוֹם רְשָׁעִים אֶרְאֶֽה׃ ki-kineti bahollim shelom reshaim erehFor I was envious at the arrogant, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. ד4 כִּי אֵין חַרְצֻבּוֹת לְמוֹתָם וּבָרִיא אוּלָֽם׃ ki ein chartzubot lemotam uvari ulamFor there are no pangs at their death, and their body is sound. ה5 בַּעֲמַל אֱנוֹשׁ אֵינֵמוֹ וְעִם־אָדָם לֹא יְנֻגָּֽעוּ׃ baamal enosh einemo veim-adam lo yenugauIn the trouble of man they are not; neither are they plagued like men. ו6 לָכֵן עֲנָקַתְמוֹ גַאֲוָה יַעֲטָף־שִׁית חָמָס לָֽמוֹ׃ lakhen anakatmo gaavah yaataf-shit chamas lamoTherefore pride is as a chain about their neck; violence covereth them as a garment. ז7 יָצָא מֵחֵלֶב עֵינֵמוֹ עָבְרוּ מַשְׂכִּיּוֹת לֵבָֽב׃ yatza mechelev einemo avru maskiyot levavTheir eyes stand forth from fatness; they are gone beyond the imaginations of their heart. ח8 יָמִיקוּ ׀ וִידַבְּרוּ בְרָע עֹשֶׁק מִמָּרוֹם יְדַבֵּֽרוּ׃ yamiku ׀ vidabru vera oshek mimarom yedaberuThey scoff, and in wickedness utter oppression; they speak as if there were none on high. ט9 שַׁתּוּ בַשָּׁמַיִם פִּיהֶם וּלְשׁוֹנָם תִּֽהֲלַךְ בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ shatu vashamayim pihem ulshonam tihalakh baaretzThey have set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth. י10 לָכֵן ׀ ישיב עַמּוֹ הֲלֹם וּמֵי מָלֵא יִמָּצוּ לָֽמוֹ׃ lakhen ׀ yshyv amo halom umei male yimatzu lamoTherefore His people return hither; and waters of fullness are drained out by them. יא11 וְֽאָמְרוּ אֵיכָה יָדַֽע־אֵל וְיֵשׁ דֵּעָה בְעֶלְיֽוֹן׃ veamru eikhah yada-el veyesh deah veelyonAnd they say: 'How doth G-d know? And is there knowledge in the Most High?' יב12 הִנֵּה־אֵלֶּה רְשָׁעִים וְשַׁלְוֵי עוֹלָם הִשְׂגּוּ־חָֽיִל׃ hineh-eleh reshaim veshalvei olam hisgu-chayilBehold, such are the wicked; and they that are always at ease increase riches. יג13 אַךְ־רִיק זִכִּיתִי לְבָבִי וָאֶרְחַץ בְּנִקָּיוֹן כַּפָּֽי׃ akh-rik zikiti levavi vaerchatz benikayon kapaySurely in vain have I cleansed my heart, and washed my hands in innocency; יד14 וָאֱהִי נָגוּעַ כָּל־הַיּוֹם וְתוֹכַחְתִּי לַבְּקָרִֽים׃ vaehi nagua kal-hayom vetokhachti labkarimFor all the day have I been plagued, and my chastisement came every morning. טו15 אִם־אָמַרְתִּי אֲסַפְּרָה כְמוֹ הִנֵּה דוֹר בָּנֶיךָ בָגָֽדְתִּי׃ im-amarti asaprah khemo hineh dor baneikha vagadtiIf I had said: 'I will speak thus', behold, I had been faithless to the generation of Thy children. טז16 וָֽאֲחַשְּׁבָה לָדַעַת זֹאת עָמָל היא בְעֵינָֽי׃ vaachashvah ladaat zot amal hy veeinayAnd when I pondered how I might know this, it was wearisome in mine eyes; יז17 עַד־אָבוֹא אֶל־מִקְדְּשֵׁי־אֵל אָבִינָה לְאַחֲרִיתָֽם׃ ad-avo el-mikdshei-el avinah leacharitamUntil I entered into the sanctuary of G-d, and considered their end. יח18 אַךְ בַּחֲלָקוֹת תָּשִׁית לָמוֹ הִפַּלְתָּם לְמַשּׁוּאֽוֹת׃ akh bachalakot tashit lamo hipaletam lemashuotSurely Thou settest them in slippery places; Thou hurlest them down to utter ruin. יט19 אֵיךְ הָיוּ לְשַׁמָּה כְרָגַע סָפוּ תַמּוּ מִן־בַּלָּהֽוֹת׃ eikh hayu leshamah kheraga safu tamu min-balahotHow are they become a desolation in a moment! They are wholly consumed by terrors. כ20 כַּחֲלוֹם מֵהָקִיץ אֲדֹנָי בָּעִיר ׀ צַלְמָם תִּבְזֶֽה׃ kachalom mehakitz Adonai bair ׀ tzalmam tivezehAs a dream when one awaketh, so, O L-rd, when Thou arousest Thyself, Thou wilt despise their semblance. כא21 כִּי יִתְחַמֵּץ לְבָבִי וְכִלְיוֹתַי אֶשְׁתּוֹנָֽן׃ ki yitchametz levavi vekhilyotay eshtonanFor my heart was in a ferment, and I was pricked in my reins. כב22 וַאֲנִי־בַעַר וְלֹא אֵדָע בְּהֵמוֹת הָיִיתִי עִמָּֽךְ׃ vaani-vaar velo eda behemot hayiti imakheBut I was brutish, and ignorant; I was as a beast before Thee. כג23 וַאֲנִי תָמִיד עִמָּךְ אָחַזְתָּ בְּיַד־יְמִינִֽי׃ vaani tamid imakhe achazta beyad-yeminiNevertheless I am continually with Thee; Thou holdest my right hand. כד24 בַּעֲצָתְךָ תַנְחֵנִי וְאַחַר כָּבוֹד תִּקָּחֵֽנִי׃ baatzatkha tancheni veachar kavod tikacheniThou wilt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me with glory. כה25 מִי־לִי בַשָּׁמָיִם וְעִמְּךָ לֹא־חָפַצְתִּי בָאָֽרֶץ׃ mi-li vashamayim veimkha lo-chafatzti vaaretzWhom have I in heaven but Thee? And beside Thee I desire none upon earth. כו26 כָּלָה שְׁאֵרִי וּלְבָבִי צוּר־לְבָבִי וְחֶלְקִי אֱלֹהִים לְעוֹלָֽם׃ kalah sheeri ulvavi tzur-levavi vechelki Elohim leolamMy flesh and my heart faileth; but G-d is the rock of my heart and my portion for ever. כז27 כִּֽי־הִנֵּה רְחֵקֶיךָ יֹאבֵדוּ הִצְמַתָּה כָּל־זוֹנֶה מִמֶּֽךָּ׃ ki-hineh rechekeikha yovedu hitzmatah kal-zoneh mimekaFor, lo, they that go far from Thee shall perish; Thou dost destroy all them that go astray from Thee. כח28 וַאֲנִי ׀ קִֽרֲבַת אֱלֹהִים לִי־טוֹב שַׁתִּי ׀ בַּאדֹנָי יְהֹוִה מַחְסִי לְסַפֵּר כָּל־מַלְאֲכוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ vaani ׀ kiravat Elohim li-tov shati ׀ badonay Adonai machsi lesaper kal-malakhoteikhaBut as for me, the nearness of G-d is my good; I have made the L-rd GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all Thy works.

א1 מַשְׂכִּיל לְאָסָף לָמָה אֱלֹהִים זָנַחְתָּ לָנֶצַח יֶעְשַׁן אַפְּךָ בְּצֹאן מַרְעִיתֶֽךָ׃ maskil leasaf lamah Elohim zanachta lanetzach yeshan apkha betzon maritekhaMaschil of Asaph. Why, O G-d, hast Thou cast us off for ever? Why doth Thine anger smoke against the flock of Thy pasture? ב2 זְכֹר עֲדָתְךָ ׀ קָנִיתָ קֶּדֶם גָּאַלְתָּ שֵׁבֶט נַחֲלָתֶךָ הַר־צִיּוֹן זֶה ׀ שָׁכַנְתָּ בּֽוֹ׃ zekhor adatkha ׀ kanita kedem gaalta shevet nachalatekha har-tziyon zeh ׀ shakhanta boRemember Thy congregation, which Thou hast gotten of old, which Thou hast redeemed to be the tribe of Thine inheritance; and mount Zion, wherein Thou hast dwelt. ג3 הָרִימָה פְעָמֶיךָ לְמַשֻּׁאוֹת נֶצַח כָּל־הֵרַע אוֹיֵב בַּקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃ harimah feameikha lemashuot netzach kal-hera oyev bakodeshLift up Thy steps because of the perpetual ruins, even all the evil that the enemy hath done in the sanctuary. ד4 שָׁאֲגוּ צֹרְרֶיךָ בְּקֶרֶב מוֹעֲדֶךָ שָׂמוּ אוֹתֹתָם אֹתֽוֹת׃ shaagu tzorreikha bekerev moadekha samu ototam ototThine adversaries have roared in the midst of Thy meeting-place; they have set up their own signs for signs. ה5 יִוָּדַע כְּמֵבִיא לְמָעְלָה בִּֽסֲבָךְ־עֵץ קַרְדֻּמּֽוֹת׃ yivada kemevi lemalah bisavakh-etz kardumotIt seemed as when men wield upwards axes in a thicket of trees. ו6 ועת פִּתּוּחֶיהָ יָּחַד בְּכַשִּׁיל וְכֵֽילַפֹּת יַהֲלֹמֽוּן׃ vt pitucheiha yachad bekhashil vekheilapot yahalomunAnd now all the carved work thereof together they strike down with hatchet and hammers. ז7 שִׁלְחוּ בָאֵשׁ מִקְדָּשֶׁךָ לָאָרֶץ חִלְּלוּ מִֽשְׁכַּן־שְׁמֶֽךָ׃ shilchu vaesh mikdashekha laaretz chillu mishkan-shemekhaThey have set Thy sanctuary on fire; they have profaned the dwelling-place of Thy name even to the ground. ח8 אָמְרוּ בְלִבָּם נִינָם יָחַד שָׂרְפוּ כָל־מוֹעֲדֵי־אֵל בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ amru velibam ninam yachad sarfu khal-moadei-el baaretzThey said in their heart: 'Let us make havoc of them altogether'; they have burned up all the meeting-places of G-d in the land. ט9 אֽוֹתֹתֵינוּ לֹא רָאִינוּ אֵֽין־עוֹד נָבִיא וְלֹֽא־אִתָּנוּ יֹדֵעַ עַד־מָֽה׃ ototeinu lo rainu ein-od navi velo-itanu yodea ad-mahWe see not our signs; there is no more any prophet; neither is there among us any that knoweth how long. י10 עַד־מָתַי אֱלֹהִים יְחָרֶף צָר יְנָאֵץ אוֹיֵב שִׁמְךָ לָנֶֽצַח׃ ad-matay Elohim yecharef tzar yenaetz oyev shimkha lanetzachHow long, O G-d, shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme Thy name for ever? יא11 לָמָּה תָשִׁיב יָדְךָ וִֽימִינֶךָ מִקֶּרֶב חוקך כַלֵּֽה׃ lamah tashiv yadkha viminekha mikerev chvkkh khalehWhy withdrawest Thou Thy hand, even Thy right hand? Draw it out of Thy bosom and consume them. יב12 וֵאלֹהִים מַלְכִּי מִקֶּדֶם פֹּעֵל יְשׁוּעוֹת בְּקֶרֶב הָאָֽרֶץ׃ velohim malki mikedem poel yeshuot bekerev haaretzYet G-d is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth. יג13 אַתָּה פוֹרַרְתָּ בְעָזְּךָ יָם שִׁבַּרְתָּ רָאשֵׁי תַנִּינִים עַל־הַמָּֽיִם׃ atah forarta veazkha yam shibareta rashei taninim al-hamayimThou didst break the sea in pieces by Thy strength; Thou didst shatter the heads of the sea-monsters in the waters. יד14 אַתָּה רִצַּצְתָּ רָאשֵׁי לִוְיָתָן תִּתְּנֶנּוּ מַאֲכָל לְעָם לְצִיִּֽים׃ atah ritzatzeta rashei livyatan titenenu maakhal leam letziyimThou didst crush the heads of leviathan, Thou gavest him to be food to the folk inhabiting the wilderness. טו15 אַתָּה בָקַעְתָּ מַעְיָן וָנָחַל אַתָּה הוֹבַשְׁתָּ נַהֲרוֹת אֵיתָֽן׃ atah vakata mayan vanachal atah hovashta naharot eitanThou didst cleave fountain and brook; Thou driedst up ever-flowing rivers. טז16 לְךָ יוֹם אַף־לְךָ לָיְלָה אַתָּה הֲכִינוֹתָ מָאוֹר וָשָֽׁמֶשׁ׃ lekha yom af-lekha laylah atah hakhinota maor vashameshThine is the day, Thine also the night; Thou hast established luminary and sun. יז17 אַתָּה הִצַּבְתָּ כָּל־גְּבוּלוֹת אָרֶץ קַיִץ וָחֹרֶף אַתָּה יְצַרְתָּם׃ atah hitzaveta kal-gevulot aretz kayitz vachoref atah yetzartamThou hast set all the borders of the earth; Thou hast made summer and winter. יח18 זְכָר־זֹאת אוֹיֵב חֵרֵף ׀ יְיָ וְעַם נָבָל נִֽאֲצוּ שְׁמֶֽךָ׃ zekhar-zot oyev cheref ׀ Adonai veam naval niatzu shemekhaRemember this, how the enemy hath reproached HaShem, and how a base people have blasphemed Thy name. יט19 אַל־תִּתֵּן לְחַיַּת נֶפֶשׁ תּוֹרֶךָ חַיַּת עֲנִיֶּיךָ אַל־תִּשְׁכַּח לָנֶֽצַח׃ al-titen lechayat nefesh torekha chayat aniyeikha al-tishekach lanetzachO deliver not the soul of Thy turtle-dove unto the wild beast; forget not the life of Thy poor for ever. כ20 הַבֵּט לַבְּרִית כִּי מָלְאוּ מַחֲשַׁכֵּי־אֶרֶץ נְאוֹת חָמָֽס׃ habet labrit ki malu machashakei-eretz neot chamasLook upon the covenant; for the dark places of the land are full of the habitations of violence. כא21 אַל־יָשֹׁב דַּךְ נִכְלָם עָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן יְֽהַלְלוּ שְׁמֶֽךָ׃ al-yashov dakhe nikhlam ani veevyon yehallu shemekhaO let not the oppressed turn back in confusion; let the poor and needy praise Thy name. כב22 קוּמָה אֱלֹהִים רִיבָה רִיבֶךָ זְכֹר חֶרְפָּתְךָ מִנִּי־נָבָל כָּל־הַיּֽוֹם׃ kumah Elohim rivah rivekha zekhor cherpatekha mini-naval kal-hayomArise, O G-d, plead Thine own cause; remember Thy reproach all the day at the hand of the base man. כג23 אַל־תִּשְׁכַּח קוֹל צֹרְרֶיךָ שְׁאוֹן קָמֶיךָ עֹלֶה תָמִֽיד׃ al-tishekach kol tzorreikha sheon kameikha oleh tamidForget not the voice of Thine adversaries, the tumult of those that rise up against Thee which ascendeth continually.

A Psalm of Asaph, a Song. ב2 הוֹדִינוּ לְּךָ ׀ אֱֽלֹהִים הוֹדִינוּ וְקָרוֹב שְׁמֶךָ סִפְּרוּ נִפְלְאוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ hodinu lekha ׀ elohim hodinu vekarov shemekha sipru nifloteikhaWe give thanks unto Thee, O G-d, we give thanks, and Thy name is near; men tell of Thy wondrous works. ג3 כִּי אֶקַּח מוֹעֵד אֲנִי מֵישָׁרִים אֶשְׁפֹּֽט׃ ki ekach moed ani meisharim eshpot'When I take the appointed time, I Myself will judge with equity. ד4 נְֽמֹגִים אֶרֶץ וְכָל־יֹשְׁבֶיהָ אָנֹכִי תִכַּנְתִּי עַמּוּדֶיהָ סֶּֽלָה׃ nemogim eretz vekhal-yoshveiha anokhi tikaneti amudeiha selahWhen the earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved, I Myself establish the pillars of it.' Selah ה5 אָמַרְתִּי לַֽהוֹלְלִים אַל־תָּהֹלּוּ וְלָרְשָׁעִים אַל־תָּרִימוּ קָֽרֶן׃ amarti lahollim al-taholu velarshaim al-tarimu karenI say unto the arrogant: 'Deal not arrogantly'; and to the wicked: 'Lift not up the horn.' ו6 אַל־תָּרִימוּ לַמָּרוֹם קַרְנְכֶם תְּדַבְּרוּ בְצַוָּאר עָתָֽק׃ al-tarimu lamarom karnkhem tedabru vetzavar atakLift not up your horn on high; speak not insolence with a haughty neck. ז7 כִּי לֹא מִמּוֹצָא וּמִֽמַּעֲרָב וְלֹא מִמִּדְבַּר הָרִֽים׃ ki lo mimotza umimaarav velo mimidebar harimFor neither from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the wilderness, cometh lifting up. ח8 כִּֽי־אֱלֹהִים שֹׁפֵט זֶה יַשְׁפִּיל וְזֶה יָרִֽים׃ ki-Elohim shofet zeh yashpil vezeh yarimFor G-d is judge; He putteth down one, and lifteth up another. ט9 כִּי כוֹס בְּֽיַד־יְיָ וְיַיִן חָמַר ׀ מָלֵא מֶסֶךְ וַיַּגֵּר מִזֶּה אַךְ־שְׁמָרֶיהָ יִמְצוּ יִשְׁתּוּ כֹּל רִשְׁעֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃ ki khos beyad-Adonai veyayin chamar ׀ male mesekh vayager mizeh akh-shemareiha yimtzu yishtu kol rishei-aretzFor in the hand of HaShem there is a cup, with foaming wine, full of mixture, and He poureth out of the same; surely the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall drain them, and drink them. י10 וַאֲנִי אַגִּיד לְעֹלָם אֲזַמְּרָה לֵאלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹֽב׃ vaani agid leolam azamrah lelohei yaakovBut as for me, I will declare for ever, I will sing praises to the G-d of Jacob. יא11 וְכָל־קַרְנֵי רְשָׁעִים אֲגַדֵּעַ תְּרוֹמַמְנָה קַֽרְנוֹת צַדִּֽיק׃ vekhal-karnei reshaim agadea teromamnah karnot tzadikAll the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up.

A Psalm of Asaph, a Song. ב2 נוֹדָע בִּֽיהוּדָה אֱלֹהִים בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל גָּדוֹל שְׁמֽוֹ׃ noda bihudah Elohim beyisrael gadol shemoIn Judah is G-d known; His name is great in Israel. ג3 וַיְהִי בְשָׁלֵם סֻכּוֹ וּמְעוֹנָתוֹ בְצִיּֽוֹן׃ vayhi veshalem suko umonato vetziyonIn Salem also is set His tabernacle, and His dwelling-place in Zion. ד4 שָׁמָּה שִׁבַּר רִשְׁפֵי־קָשֶׁת מָגֵן וְחֶרֶב וּמִלְחָמָה סֶֽלָה׃ shamah shibar rishfei-kashet magen vecherev umilchamah selahThere He broke the fiery shafts of the bow; the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah ה5 נָאוֹר אַתָּה אַדִּיר מֵֽהַרְרֵי־טָֽרֶף׃ naor atah adir meharrei-tarefGlorious art Thou and excellent, coming down from the mountains of prey. ו6 אֶשְׁתּוֹלְלוּ ׀ אַבִּירֵי לֵב נָמוּ שְׁנָתָם וְלֹא־מָצְאוּ כָל־אַנְשֵׁי־חַיִל יְדֵיהֶֽם׃ eshtollu ׀ abirei lev namu shenatam velo-matzu khal-anshei-chayil yedeihemThe stout-hearted are bereft of sense, they sleep their sleep; and none of the men of might have found their hands. ז7 מִגַּעֲרָתְךָ אֱלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב נִרְדָּם וְרֶכֶב וָסֽוּס׃ migaaratkha Elohei yaakov nirdam verekhev vasusAt Thy rebuke, O G-d of Jacob, they are cast into a dead sleep, the riders also and the horses. ח8 אַתָּה ׀ נוֹרָא אַתָּה וּמִֽי־יַעֲמֹד לְפָנֶיךָ מֵאָז אַפֶּֽךָ׃ atah ׀ nora atah umi-yaamod lefaneikha meaz apekhaThou, even Thou, art terrible; and who may stand in Thy sight when once Thou art angry? ט9 מִשָּׁמַיִם הִשְׁמַעְתָּ דִּין אֶרֶץ יָֽרְאָה וְשָׁקָֽטָה׃ mishamayim hishmata din eretz yarah veshakatahThou didst cause sentence to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still, י10 בְּקוּם־לַמִּשְׁפָּט אֱלֹהִים לְהוֹשִׁיעַ כָּל־עַנְוֵי־אֶרֶץ סֶֽלָה׃ bekum-lamishepat Elohim lehoshiya kal-anvei-eretz selahWhen G-d arose to judgment, to save all the humble of the earth. Selah יא11 כִּֽי־חֲמַת אָדָם תּוֹדֶךָּ שְׁאֵרִית חֵמֹת תַּחְגֹּֽר׃ ki-chamat adam todeka sheerit chemot tachegorSurely the wrath of man shall praise Thee; the residue of wrath shalt Thou gird upon Thee. יב12 נִֽדֲרוּ וְשַׁלְּמוּ לַיהוָה אֱֽלֹהֵיכֶם כָּל־סְבִיבָיו יוֹבִילוּ שַׁי לַמּוֹרָֽא׃ nidaru veshalmu layhvah eloheikhem kal-sevivayv yovilu shay lamoraVow, and pay unto HaShem your G-d; let all that are round about Him bring presents unto Him that is to be feared; יג13 יִבְצֹר רוּחַ נְגִידִים נוֹרָא לְמַלְכֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃ yivtzor rucha negidim nora lemalkhei-aretzHe minisheth the spirit of princes; He is terrible to the kings of the earth.
