א1 שִׁיר מִזְמוֹר לִבְנֵי קֹרַח לַמְנַצֵּחַ עַל־מָחֲלַת לְעַנּוֹת מַשְׂכִּיל לְהֵימָן הָאֶזְרָחִֽי׃ shir mizmor livnei korach lamnatzecha al-machalat leanot maskil leheiman haezrachiA Song, a Psalm of the sons of Korah; for the Leader; upon Mahalath Leannoth. Maschil of Heman the Ezrahite. ב2 יְיָ אֱלֹהֵי יְשׁוּעָתִי יוֹם־צָעַקְתִּי בַלַּיְלָה נֶגְדֶּֽךָ׃ Adonai Elohei yeshuati yom-tzaakti valayelah negdekhaO HaShem, G-d of my salvation, what time I cry in the night before Thee, ג3 תָּבוֹא לְפָנֶיךָ תְּפִלָּתִי הַטֵּֽה־אָזְנְךָ לְרִנָּתִֽי׃ tavo lefaneikha tefilati hateh-aznkha lerinatiLet my prayer come before Thee, incline Thine ear unto my cry. ד4 כִּֽי־שָֽׂבְעָה בְרָעוֹת נַפְשִׁי וְחַיַּי לִשְׁאוֹל הִגִּֽיעוּ׃ ki-savah veraot nafshi vechayay lishol higiyuFor my soul is sated with troubles, and my life draweth nigh unto the grave. ה5 נֶחְשַׁבְתִּי עִם־יוֹרְדֵי בוֹר הָיִיתִי כְּגֶבֶר אֵֽין־אֱיָֽל׃ nechshavti im-yordei vor hayiti kegever ein-eyalI am counted with them that go down into the pit; I am become as a man that hath no help; ו6 בַּמֵּתִים חָפְשִׁי כְּמוֹ חֲלָלִים ׀ שֹׁכְבֵי קֶבֶר אֲשֶׁר לֹא זְכַרְתָּם עוֹד וְהֵמָּה מִיָּדְךָ נִגְזָֽרוּ׃ bametim chafshi kemo chalalim ׀ shokhvei kever asher lo zekhartam od vehemah miyadekha nigzaruSet apart among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom Thou rememberest no more; and they are cut off from Thy hand. ז7 שַׁתַּנִי בְּבוֹר תַּחְתִּיּוֹת בְּמַחֲשַׁכִּים בִּמְצֹלֽוֹת׃ shatani bevor tachetiyot bemachashakim bimetzolotThou hast laid me in the nether-most pit, in dark places, in the deeps. ח8 עָלַי סָמְכָה חֲמָתֶךָ וְכָל־מִשְׁבָּרֶיךָ עִנִּיתָ סֶּֽלָה׃ alay samkhah chamatekha vekhal-mishbareikha inita selahThy wrath lieth hard upon me, and all Thy waves Thou pressest down. Selah ט9 הִרְחַקְתָּ מְיֻדָּעַי מִמֶּנִּי שַׁתַּנִי תוֹעֵבוֹת לָמוֹ כָּלֻא וְלֹא אֵצֵֽא׃ hirchakta meyudaay mimeni shatani toevot lamo kalu velo etzeThou hast put mine acquaintance far from me; Thou hast made me an abomination unto them; I am shut up, and I cannot come forth. י10 עֵינִי דָאֲבָה מִנִּי עֹנִי קְרָאתִיךָ יְיָ בְּכָל־יוֹם שִׁטַּחְתִּי אֵלֶיךָ כַפָּֽי׃ eini daavah mini oni keratikha Adonai bekhal-yom shitacheti eleikha khapayMine eye languisheth by reason of affliction; I have called upon Thee, O HaShem, every day, I have spread forth my hands unto Thee. יא11 הֲלַמֵּתִים תַּעֲשֶׂה־פֶּלֶא אִם־רְפָאִים יָקוּמוּ ׀ יוֹדוּךָ סֶּֽלָה׃ halametim taaseh-pele im-refaim yakumu ׀ yodukha selahWilt Thou work wonders for the dead? Or shall the shades arise and give Thee thanks? Selah יב12 הַיְסֻפַּר בַּקֶּבֶר חַסְדֶּךָ אֱמֽוּנָתְךָ בָּאֲבַדּֽוֹן׃ haysupar bakever chasdekha emunatkha baavadonShall Thy mercy be declared in the grave? or Thy faithfulness in destruction? יג13 הֲיִוָּדַע בַּחֹשֶׁךְ פִּלְאֶךָ וְצִדְקָתְךָ בְּאֶרֶץ נְשִׁיָּֽה׃ hayivada bachoshekh pileekha vetzidkatkha beeretz neshiyahShall Thy wonders be known in the dark? and Thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness? יד14 וַאֲנִי ׀ אֵלֶיךָ יְיָ שִׁוַּעְתִּי וּבַבֹּקֶר תְּֽפִלָּתִי תְקַדְּמֶֽךָּ׃ vaani ׀ eleikha Adonai shivaeti uvaboker tefilati tekadmekaBut as for me, unto Thee, O HaShem, do I cry, and in the morning doth my prayer come to meet Thee. טו15 לָמָה יְיָ תִּזְנַח נַפְשִׁי תַּסְתִּיר פָּנֶיךָ מִמֶּֽנִּי׃ lamah Adonai tizenach nafshi tasetir paneikha mimeniHaShem, why castest Thou off my soul? Why hidest Thou Thy face from me? טז16 עָנִי אֲנִי וְגֹוֵעַ מִנֹּעַר נָשָׂאתִי אֵמֶיךָ אָפֽוּנָה׃ ani ani vegovea minoar nasati emeikha afunahI am afflicted and at the point of death from my youth up; I have borne Thy terrors, I am distracted. יז17 עָלַי עָבְרוּ חֲרוֹנֶיךָ בִּעוּתֶיךָ צִמְּתוּתֻֽנִי׃ alay avru charoneikha biuteikha tzimtutuniThy fierce wrath is gone over me; Thy terrors have cut me off. יח18 סַבּוּנִי כַמַּיִם כָּל־הַיּוֹם הִקִּיפוּ עָלַי יָֽחַד׃ sabuni khamayim kal-hayom hikifu alay yachadThey came round about me like water all the day; they compassed me about together. יט19 הִרְחַקְתָּ מִמֶּנִּי אֹהֵב וָרֵעַ מְֽיֻדָּעַי מַחְשָֽׁךְ׃ hirchakta mimeni ohev varea meyudaay machshakhFriend and companion hast Thou put far from me, and mine acquaintance into darkness.
