א1 לַמְנַצֵּחַ עַֽל־ידיתון לְאָסָף מִזְמֽוֹר׃ lamnatzecha al-ydytvn leasaf mizmorFor the Leader; for Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph. ב2 קוֹלִי אֶל־אֱלֹהִים וְאֶצְעָקָה קוֹלִי אֶל־אֱלֹהִים וְהַאֲזִין אֵלָֽי׃ koli el-Elohim veetzakah koli el-Elohim vehaazin elayI will lift up my voice unto G-d, an cry; I will lift up my voice unto G-d, that He may give ear unto me. ג3 בְּיוֹם צָרָתִי אֲדֹנָי דָּרָשְׁתִּי יָדִי ׀ לַיְלָה נִגְּרָה וְלֹא תָפוּג מֵאֲנָה הִנָּחֵם נַפְשִֽׁי׃ beyom tzarati Adonai darashti yadi ׀ laylah nigrah velo tafug meanah hinachem nafshiIn the day of my trouble I seek the L-rd; with my hand uplifted, mine eye streameth in the night without ceasing; my soul refuseth to be comforted. ד4 אֶזְכְּרָה אֱלֹהִים וְאֶֽהֱמָיָה אָשִׂיחָה ׀ וְתִתְעַטֵּף רוּחִי סֶֽלָה׃ ezkrah Elohim veehemayah asichah ׀ vetitatef ruchi selahWhen I think thereon, O G-d, I must moan; when I muse thereon, my spirit fainteth. Selah ה5 אָחַזְתָּ שְׁמֻרוֹת עֵינָי נִפְעַמְתִּי וְלֹא אֲדַבֵּֽר׃ achazta shemurot einay nifamti velo adaberThou holdest fast the lids of mine eyes; I am troubled, and cannot speak. ו6 חִשַּׁבְתִּי יָמִים מִקֶּדֶם שְׁנוֹת עוֹלָמִֽים׃ chishaveti yamim mikedem shenot olamimI have pondered the days of old, the years of ancient times. ז7 אֶֽזְכְּרָה נְגִינָתִי בַּלָּיְלָה עִם־לְבָבִי אָשִׂיחָה וַיְחַפֵּשׂ רוּחִֽי׃ ezkrah neginati balayelah im-levavi asichah vaychapes ruchiIn the night I will call to remembrance my song; I will commune with mine own heart; and my spirit maketh diligent search: ח8 הַֽלְעוֹלָמִים יִזְנַח ׀ אֲדֹנָי וְלֹֽא־יֹסִיף לִרְצוֹת עֽוֹד׃ halolamim yiznach ׀ Adonai velo-yosif lirtzot od'Will the L-rd cast off for ever? and will He be favourable no more? ט9 הֶאָפֵס לָנֶצַח חַסְדּוֹ גָּמַר אֹמֶר לְדֹר וָדֹֽר׃ heafes lanetzach chasdo gamar omer ledor vadorIs His mercy clean gone for ever? Is His promise come to an end for evermore? י10 הֲשָׁכַח חַנּוֹת אֵל אִם־קָפַץ בְּאַף רַחֲמָיו סֶֽלָה׃ hashakhach chanot el im-kafatz beaf rachamayv selahHath G-d forgotten to be gracious? Hath He in anger shut up his compassions?' Selah יא11 וָאֹמַר חַלּוֹתִי הִיא שְׁנוֹת יְמִין עֶלְיֽוֹן׃ vaomar chaloti hi shenot yemin elyonAnd I say: 'This is my weakness, that the right hand of the Most High could change. יב12 אזכיר מַֽעַלְלֵי־יָהּ כִּֽי־אֶזְכְּרָה מִקֶּדֶם פִּלְאֶֽךָ׃ zkhyr maallei-yah ki-ezkrah mikedem pileekhaI will make mention of the deeds of HaShem; yea, I will remember Thy wonders of old. יג13 וְהָגִיתִי בְכָל־פָּעֳלֶךָ וּֽבַעֲלִילוֹתֶיךָ אָשִֽׂיחָה׃ vehagiti vekhal-paolekha uvaaliloteikha asichahI will meditate also upon all Thy work, and muse on Thy doings.' יד14 אֱלֹהִים בַּקֹּדֶשׁ דַּרְכֶּךָ מִי־אֵל גָּדוֹל כֵּֽאלֹהִֽים׃ Elohim bakodesh darekekha mi-el gadol kelohimO G-d, Thy way is in holiness; who is a great god like unto G-d? טו15 אַתָּה הָאֵל עֹשֵׂה פֶלֶא הוֹדַעְתָּ בָעַמִּים עֻזֶּֽךָ׃ atah hael oseh fele hodata vaamim uzekhaThou art the G-d that doest wonders; Thou hast made known Thy strength among the peoples. טז16 גָּאַלְתָּ בִּזְרוֹעַ עַמֶּךָ בְּנֵי־יַעֲקֹב וְיוֹסֵף סֶֽלָה׃ gaalta bizeroa amekha benei-yaakov veyosef selahThou hast with Thine arm redeemed Thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah יז17 רָאוּךָ מַּיִם ׀ אֱֽלֹהִים רָאוּךָ מַּיִם יָחִילוּ אַף יִרְגְּזוּ תְהֹמֽוֹת׃ raukha mayim ׀ elohim raukha mayim yachilu af yirgzu tehomotThe waters saw Thee, O G-d; the waters saw Thee, they were in pain; the depths also trembled. יח18 זֹרְמוּ מַיִם ׀ עָבוֹת קוֹל נָתְנוּ שְׁחָקִים אַף־חֲצָצֶיךָ יִתְהַלָּֽכוּ׃ zormu mayim ׀ avot kol natnu shechakim af-chatzatzeikha yithalakhuThe clouds flooded forth waters; the skies sent out a sound; Thine arrows also went abroad. יט19 קוֹל רַעַמְךָ ׀ בַּגַּלְגַּל הֵאִירוּ בְרָקִים תֵּבֵל רָגְזָה וַתִּרְעַשׁ הָאָֽרֶץ׃ kol raamkha ׀ bagalegal heiru verakim tevel ragzah vatireash haaretzThe voice of Thy thunder was in the whirlwind; the lightnings lighted up the world; the earth trembled and shook. כ20 בַּיָּם דַּרְכֶּךָ ושביליך בְּמַיִם רַבִּים וְעִקְּבוֹתֶיךָ לֹא נֹדָֽעוּ׃ bayam darekekha vshvylykh bemayim rabim veikvoteikha lo nodauThy way was in the sea, and Thy path in the great waters, and Thy footsteps were not known. כא21 נָחִיתָ כַצֹּאן עַמֶּךָ בְּֽיַד־מֹשֶׁה וְאַהֲרֹֽן׃ nachita khatzon amekha beyad-mosheh veaharonThou didst lead Thy people like a flock, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
