א1 הַלְלוּ יָהּ ׀ הַלְלוּ עַבְדֵי יְיָ הַֽלְלוּ אֶת־שֵׁם יְהוָֽה׃ hallu yah ׀ hallu avdei Adonai hallu et-shem AdonaiHallelujah. Praise, O ye servants of HaShem, praise the name of HaShem. ב2 יְהִי שֵׁם יְיָ מְבֹרָךְ מֵֽעַתָּה וְעַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ yehi shem Adonai mevorakh meatah vead-olamBlessed be the name of HaShem from this time forth and for ever. ג3 מִמִּזְרַח־שֶׁמֶשׁ עַד־מְבוֹאוֹ מְהֻלָּל שֵׁם יְהוָֽה׃ mimizerach-shemesh ad-mevoo mehulal shem AdonaiFrom the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof HaShem'S name is to be praised. ד4 רָם עַל־כָּל־גּוֹיִם ׀ יְיָ עַל הַשָּׁמַיִם כְּבוֹדֽוֹ׃ ram al-kal-goyim ׀ Adonai al hashamayim kevodoHaShem is high above all nations, His glory is above the heavens. ה5 מִי כַּיהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ הַֽמַּגְבִּיהִי לָשָֽׁבֶת׃ mi kayhvah eloheinu hamagebihi lashavetWho is like unto HaShem our G-d, that is enthroned on high, ו6 הַֽמַּשְׁפִּילִי לִרְאוֹת בַּשָּׁמַיִם וּבָאָֽרֶץ׃ hamashepili lirot bashamayim uvaaretzThat looketh down low upon heaven and upon the earth? ז7 מְקִֽימִי מֵעָפָר דָּל מֵֽאַשְׁפֹּת יָרִים אֶבְיֽוֹן׃ mekimi meafar dal meashpot yarim evyonWho raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the needy out of the dunghill; ח8 לְהוֹשִׁיבִי עִם־נְדִיבִים עִם נְדִיבֵי עַמּֽוֹ׃ lehoshivi im-nedivim im nedivei amoThat He may set him with princes, even with the princes of His people. ט9 מֽוֹשִׁיבִי ׀ עֲקֶרֶת הַבַּיִת אֵֽם־הַבָּנִים שְׂמֵחָה הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃ moshivi ׀ akeret habayit em-habanim semechah hallu-yahWho maketh the barren woman to dwell in her house as a joyful mother of children. Hallelujah.

א1 בְּצֵאת יִשְׂרָאֵל מִמִּצְרָיִם בֵּית יַעֲקֹב מֵעַם לֹעֵֽז׃ betzet yisrael mimitzerayim beit yaakov meam loezWhen Israel came forth out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language; ב2 הָיְתָה יְהוּדָה לְקָדְשׁוֹ יִשְׂרָאֵל מַמְשְׁלוֹתָֽיו׃ haytah yehudah lekadsho yisrael mamshlotayvJudah became His sanctuary, Israel His dominion. ג3 הַיָּם רָאָה וַיָּנֹס הַיַּרְדֵּן יִסֹּב לְאָחֽוֹר׃ hayam raah vayanos hayareden yisov leachorThe sea saw it, and fled; the Jordan turned backward. ד4 הֶֽהָרִים רָקְדוּ כְאֵילִים גְּבָעוֹת כִּבְנֵי־צֹֽאן׃ heharim rakdu kheeilim gevaot kivenei-tzonThe mountains skipped like rams, the hills like young sheep. ה5 מַה־לְּךָ הַיָּם כִּי תָנוּס הַיַּרְדֵּן תִּסֹּב לְאָחֽוֹר׃ mah-lekha hayam ki tanus hayareden tisov leachorWhat aileth thee, O thou sea, that thou fleest? thou Jordan, that thou turnest backward? ו6 הֶֽהָרִים תִּרְקְדוּ כְאֵילִים גְּבָעוֹת כִּבְנֵי־צֹֽאן׃ heharim tirekdu kheeilim gevaot kivenei-tzonYe mountains, that ye skip like rams; ye hills, like young sheep? ז7 מִלִּפְנֵי אָדוֹן חוּלִי אָרֶץ מִלִּפְנֵי אֱלוֹהַּ יַעֲקֹֽב׃ milifenei adon chuli aretz milifenei eloha yaakovTremble, thou earth, at the presence of the L-rd, at the presence of the G-d of Jacob; ח8 הַהֹפְכִי הַצּוּר אֲגַם־מָיִם חַלָּמִישׁ לְמַעְיְנוֹ־מָֽיִם׃ hahofkhi hatzur agam-mayim chalamish lemayno-mayimWho turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

א1 לֹא לָנוּ יְיָ לֹא לָנוּ כִּֽי־לְשִׁמְךָ תֵּן כָּבוֹד עַל־חַסְדְּךָ עַל־אֲמִתֶּֽךָ׃ lo lanu Adonai lo lanu ki-leshimkha ten kavod al-chasdkha al-amitekhaNot unto us, O HaShem, not unto us, but unto Thy name give glory, for Thy mercy, and for Thy truth's sake. ב2 לָמָּה יֹאמְרוּ הַגּוֹיִם אַיֵּה־נָא אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃ lamah yomru hagoyim ayeh-na eloheihemWherefore should the nations say: 'Where is now their G-d?' ג3 וֵֽאלֹהֵינוּ בַשָּׁמָיִם כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־חָפֵץ עָשָֽׂה׃ veloheinu vashamayim kol asher-chafetz asahBut our G-d is in the heavens; whatsoever pleased Him He hath done. ד4 עֲֽצַבֵּיהֶם כֶּסֶף וְזָהָב מַעֲשֵׂה יְדֵי אָדָֽם׃ atzabeihem kesef vezahav maaseh yedei adamTheir idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. ה5 פֶּֽה־לָהֶם וְלֹא יְדַבֵּרוּ עֵינַיִם לָהֶם וְלֹא יִרְאֽוּ׃ peh-lahem velo yedaberu einayim lahem velo yiruThey have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not; ו6 אָזְנַיִם לָהֶם וְלֹא יִשְׁמָעוּ אַף לָהֶם וְלֹא יְרִיחֽוּן׃ aznayim lahem velo yishmau af lahem velo yerichunThey have ears, but they hear not; noses have they, but they smell not; ז7 יְדֵיהֶם ׀ וְלֹא יְמִישׁוּן רַגְלֵיהֶם וְלֹא יְהַלֵּכוּ לֹֽא־יֶהְגּוּ בִּגְרוֹנָֽם׃ yedeihem ׀ velo yemishun ragleihem velo yehalekhu lo-yehgu bigeronamThey have hands, but they handle not; feet have they, but they walk not; neither speak they with their throat. ח8 כְּמוֹהֶם יִהְיוּ עֹשֵׂיהֶם כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־בֹּטֵחַ בָּהֶֽם׃ kemohem yihyu oseihem kol asher-botecha bahemThey that make them shall be like unto them; yea, every one that trusteth in them. ט9 יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּטַח בַּיהוָה עֶזְרָם וּמָגִנָּם הֽוּא׃ yisrael betach bayhvah ezram umaginam huO Israel, trust thou in HaShem! He is their help and their shield! י10 בֵּית אַהֲרֹן בִּטְחוּ בַיהוָה עֶזְרָם וּמָגִנָּם הֽוּא׃ beit aharon bitechu vayhvah ezram umaginam huO house of Aaron, trust ye in HaShem! He is their help and their shield! יא11 יִרְאֵי יְיָ בִּטְחוּ בַיהוָה עֶזְרָם וּמָגִנָּם הֽוּא׃ yirei Adonai bitechu vayhvah ezram umaginam huYe that fear HaShem, trust in HaShem! He is their help and their shield. יב12 יְיָ זְכָרָנוּ יְבָרֵךְ יְבָרֵךְ אֶת־בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל יְבָרֵךְ אֶת־בֵּית אַהֲרֹֽן׃ Adonai zekharanu yevarekh yevarekh et-beit yisrael yevarekh et-beit aharonHaShem hath been mindful of us, He will bless--He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron. יג13 יְבָרֵךְ יִרְאֵי יְיָ הַקְּטַנִּים עִם־הַגְּדֹלִֽים׃ yevarekh yirei Adonai haktanim im-hagdolimHe will bless them that fear HaShem, both small and great. יד14 יֹסֵף יְיָ עֲלֵיכֶם עֲלֵיכֶם וְעַל־בְּנֵיכֶֽם׃ yosef Adonai aleikhem aleikhem veal-beneikhemHaShem increase you more and more, you and your children. טו15 בְּרוּכִים אַתֶּם לַיהוָה עֹשֵׂה שָׁמַיִם וָאָֽרֶץ׃ berukhim atem layhvah oseh shamayim vaaretzBlessed be ye of HaShem who made heaven and earth. טז16 הַשָּׁמַיִם שָׁמַיִם לַיהוָה וְהָאָרֶץ נָתַן לִבְנֵי־אָדָֽם׃ hashamayim shamayim layhvah vehaaretz natan livnei-adamThe heavens are the heavens of HaShem; but the earth hath He given to the children of men. יז17 לֹא הַמֵּתִים יְהַֽלְלוּ־יָהּ וְלֹא כָּל־יֹרְדֵי דוּמָֽה׃ lo hametim yehallu-yah velo kal-yordei dumahThe dead praise not HaShem, neither any that go down into silence; יח18 וַאֲנַחְנוּ ׀ נְבָרֵךְ יָהּ מֵֽעַתָּה וְעַד־עוֹלָם הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃ vaanachnu ׀ nevarekh yah meatah vead-olam hallu-yahBut we will bless HaShem from this time forth and for ever. א1 אָהַבְתִּי כִּֽי־יִשְׁמַע ׀ יְיָ אֶת־קוֹלִי תַּחֲנוּנָֽי׃ ahavti ki-yishma ׀ Adonai et-koli tachanunayI love that HaShem should hear my voice and my supplications. ב2 כִּֽי־הִטָּה אָזְנוֹ לִי וּבְיָמַי אֶקְרָֽא׃ ki-hitah azno li uvyamay ekraBecause He hath inclined His ear unto me, therefore will I call upon Him all my days. ג3 אֲפָפוּנִי ׀ חֶבְלֵי־מָוֶת וּמְצָרֵי שְׁאוֹל מְצָאוּנִי צָרָה וְיָגוֹן אֶמְצָֽא׃ afafuni ׀ chevlei-mavet umtzarei sheol metzauni tzarah veyagon emtzaThe cords of death compassed me, and the straits of the nether-world got hold upon me; I found trouble and sorrow. ד4 וּבְשֵֽׁם־יְיָ אֶקְרָא אָנָּה יְיָ מַלְּטָה נַפְשִֽׁי׃ uvshem-Adonai ekra anah Adonai maltah nafshiBut I called upon the name of HaShem: 'I beseech thee, O HaShem, deliver my soul.' ה5 חַנּוּן יְהֹוָה וְצַדִּיק וֵאלֹהֵינוּ מְרַחֵֽם׃ chanun Adonai vetzadik veloheinu merachemGracious is HaShem, and righteous; yea, our G-d is compassionate. ו6 שֹׁמֵר פְּתָאיִם יְהֹוָה דַּלּוֹתִי וְלִי יְהוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃ shomer petayim Adonai daloti veli yehoshiyaHaShem preserveth the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me. ז7 שׁוּבִי נַפְשִׁי לִמְנוּחָיְכִי כִּֽי־יְיָ גָּמַל עָלָֽיְכִי׃ shuvi nafshi limnuchaykhi ki-Adonai gamal alaykhiReturn, O my soul, unto Thy rest; for HaShem hath dealt bountifully with thee. ח8 כִּי חִלַּצְתָּ נַפְשִׁי מִמָּוֶת אֶת־עֵינִי מִן־דִּמְעָה אֶת־רַגְלִי מִדֶּֽחִי׃ ki chilatzeta nafshi mimavet et-eini min-dimeah et-ragli midechiFor thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from stumbling. ט9 אֶתְהַלֵּךְ לִפְנֵי יְיָ בְּאַרְצוֹת הַֽחַיִּֽים׃ ethalekhe lifnei Adonai beartzot hachayimI shall walk before HaShem in the lands of the living. י10 הֶאֱמַנְתִּי כִּי אֲדַבֵּר אֲנִי עָנִיתִי מְאֹֽד׃ heemanti ki adaber ani aniti meodI trusted even when I spoke: 'I am greatly afflicted.' יא11 אֲנִי אָמַרְתִּי בְחָפְזִי כָּֽל־הָאָדָם כֹּזֵֽב׃ ani amarti vechafzi kal-haadam kozevI said in my haste: 'All men are liars.' יב12 מָֽה־אָשִׁיב לַיהוָה כָּֽל־תַּגְמוּלוֹהִי עָלָֽי׃ mah-ashiv layhvah kal-tagemulohi alayHow can I repay unto HaShem all His bountiful dealings toward me? יג13 כּוֹס־יְשׁוּעוֹת אֶשָּׂא וּבְשֵׁם יְיָ אֶקְרָֽא׃ kos-yeshuot esa uvshem Adonai ekraI will lift up the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of HaShem. יד14 נְדָרַי לַיהוָה אֲשַׁלֵּם נֶגְדָה־נָּא לְכָל־עַמּֽוֹ׃ nedaray layhvah ashalem negdah-na lekhal-amoMy vows will I pay unto HaShem, yea, in the presence of all His people. טו15 יָקָר בְּעֵינֵי יְיָ הַמָּוְתָה לַחֲסִידָֽיו׃ yakar beeinei Adonai hamavetah lachasidayvPrecious in the sight of HaShem is the death of His saints. טז16 אָֽנָּה יְיָ כִּֽי־אֲנִי עַבְדֶּךָ אֲֽנִי־עַבְדְּךָ בֶּן־אֲמָתֶךָ פִּתַּחְתָּ לְמוֹסֵרָֽי׃ anah Adonai ki-ani avdekha ani-avdkha ben-amatekha pitacheta lemoserayI beseech Thee, O HaShem, for I am Thy servant; I am Thy servant, the son of Thy handmaid; Thou hast loosed my bands. יז17 לְֽךָ־אֶזְבַּח זֶבַח תּוֹדָה וּבְשֵׁם יְיָ אֶקְרָֽא׃ lekha-ezbach zevach todah uvshem Adonai ekraI will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of HaShem. יח18 נְדָרַי לַיהוָה אֲשַׁלֵּם נֶגְדָה־נָּא לְכָל־עַמּֽוֹ׃ nedaray layhvah ashalem negdah-na lekhal-amoI will pay my vows unto HaShem, yea, in the presence of all His people; יט19 בְּחַצְרוֹת ׀ בֵּית יְיָ בְּֽתוֹכֵכִי יְֽרוּשָׁלִָם הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃ bechatzrot ׀ beit Adonai betokhekhi yerushalaim hallu-yahIn the courts of HaShem'S house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. א1 הַֽלְלוּ אֶת־יְיָ כָּל־גּוֹיִם שַׁבְּחוּהוּ כָּל־הָאֻמִּֽים׃ hallu et-Adonai kal-goyim shabchuhu kal-haumimO praise HaShem, all ye nations; laud Him, all ye peoples. ב2 כִּי גָבַר עָלֵינוּ ׀ חַסְדּוֹ וֶֽאֱמֶת־יְיָ לְעוֹלָם הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃ ki gavar aleinu ׀ chasdo veemet-Adonai leolam hallu-yahFor His mercy is great toward us; and the truth of HaShem endureth for ever. א1 הוֹדוּ לַיהוָה כִּי־טוֹב כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ hodu layhvah ki-tov ki leolam chasdo'O give thanks unto HaShem, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever. ב2 יֹֽאמַר־נָא יִשְׂרָאֵל כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ yomar-na yisrael ki leolam chasdoSo let Israel now say, for His mercy endureth for ever, ג3 יֹֽאמְרוּ־נָא בֵֽית־אַהֲרֹן כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ yomru-na veit-aharon ki leolam chasdoSo let the house of Aaron now say, for His mercy endureth for ever. ד4 יֹֽאמְרוּ־נָא יִרְאֵי יְיָ כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ yomru-na yirei Adonai ki leolam chasdoSo let them now that fear HaShem say, for His mercy endureth for ever. ה5 מִֽן־הַמֵּצַר קָרָאתִי יָּהּ עָנָנִי בַמֶּרְחָב יָֽהּ׃ min-hametzar karati yah anani vamerechav yahOut of my straits I called upon HaShem; He answered me with great enlargement. ו6 יְיָ לִי לֹא אִירָא מַה־יַּעֲשֶׂה לִי אָדָֽם׃ Adonai li lo ira mah-yaaseh li adamHaShem is for me; I will not fear; what can man do unto me? ז7 יְיָ לִי בְּעֹזְרָי וַאֲנִי אֶרְאֶה בְשֹׂנְאָֽי׃ Adonai li beozray vaani ereh vesonayHaShem is for me as my helper; and I shall gaze upon them that hate me. ח8 טוֹב לַחֲסוֹת בַּיהוָה מִבְּטֹחַ בָּאָדָֽם׃ tov lachasot bayhvah mibtocha baadamIt is better to take refuge in HaShem than to trust in man. ט9 טוֹב לַחֲסוֹת בַּיהוָה מִבְּטֹחַ בִּנְדִיבִֽים׃ tov lachasot bayhvah mibtocha binedivimIt is better to take refuge in HaShem than to trust in princes. י10 כָּל־גּוֹיִם סְבָבוּנִי בְּשֵׁם יְיָ כִּי אֲמִילַֽם׃ kal-goyim sevavuni beshem Adonai ki amilamAll nations compass me about; verily, in the name of HaShem I will cut them off. יא11 סַבּוּנִי גַם־סְבָבוּנִי בְּשֵׁם יְיָ כִּי אֲמִילַֽם׃ sabuni gam-sevavuni beshem Adonai ki amilamThey compass me about, yea, they compass me about; verily, in the name of HaShem I will cut them off. יב12 סַבּוּנִי כִדְבוֹרִים דֹּעֲכוּ כְּאֵשׁ קוֹצִים בְּשֵׁם יְיָ כִּי אֲמִילַֽם׃ sabuni khidvorim doakhu keesh kotzim beshem Adonai ki amilamThey compass me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns; verily, in the name of HaShem I will cut them off. יג13 דַּחֹה דְחִיתַנִי לִנְפֹּל וַיהוָה עֲזָרָֽנִי׃ dachoh dechitani linpol vayhvah azaraniThou didst thrust sore at me that I might fall; but HaShem helped me. יד14 עָזִּי וְזִמְרָת יָהּ וַֽיְהִי־לִי לִֽישׁוּעָֽה׃ azi vezimrat yah vayhi-li lishuahHaShem is my strength and song; and He is become my salvation. טו15 קוֹל ׀ רִנָּה וִֽישׁוּעָה בְּאָהֳלֵי צַדִּיקִים יְמִין יְיָ עֹשָׂה חָֽיִל׃ kol ׀ rinah vishuah beaholei tzadikim yemin Adonai osah chayilThe voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of HaShem doeth valiantly. טז16 יְמִין יְיָ רוֹמֵמָה יְמִין יְיָ עֹשָׂה חָֽיִל׃ yemin Adonai romemah yemin Adonai osah chayilThe right hand of HaShem is exalted; the right hand of HaShem doeth valiantly. יז17 לֹֽא אָמוּת כִּי־אֶֽחְיֶה וַאֲסַפֵּר מַֽעֲשֵׂי יָֽהּ׃ lo amut ki-echyeh vaasaper maasei yahI shall not die, but live, and declare the works of HaShem. יח18 יַסֹּר יִסְּרַנִּי יָּהּ וְלַמָּוֶת לֹא נְתָנָֽנִי׃ yasor yisrani yah velamavet lo netananiHaShem hath chastened me sore; but He hath not given me over unto death. יט19 פִּתְחוּ־לִי שַׁעֲרֵי־צֶדֶק אָֽבֹא־בָם אוֹדֶה יָֽהּ׃ pitechu-li shaarei-tzedek avo-vam odeh yahOpen to me the gates of righteousness; I will enter into them, I will give thanks unto HaShem. כ20 זֶֽה־הַשַּׁעַר לַיהוָה צַדִּיקִים יָבֹאוּ בֽוֹ׃ zeh-hashaar layhvah tzadikim yavou voThis is the gate of HaShem; the righteous shall enter into it. כא21 אוֹדְךָ כִּי עֲנִיתָנִי וַתְּהִי־לִי לִֽישׁוּעָֽה׃ odkha ki anitani vathi-li lishuahI will give thanks unto Thee, for Thou hast answered me, and art become my salvation. כב22 אֶבֶן מָאֲסוּ הַבּוֹנִים הָיְתָה לְרֹאשׁ פִּנָּֽה׃ even maasu habonim haytah lerosh pinahThe stone which the builders rejected is become the chief corner-stone. כג23 מֵאֵת יְיָ הָיְתָה זֹּאת הִיא נִפְלָאת בְּעֵינֵֽינוּ׃ meet Adonai haytah zot hi niflat beeineinuThis is HaShem'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. כד24 זֶה־הַיּוֹם עָשָׂה יְיָ נָגִילָה וְנִשְׂמְחָה בֽוֹ׃ zeh-hayom asah Adonai nagilah venismchah voThis is the day which HaShem hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. כה25 אָנָּא יְיָ הוֹשִׁיעָה נָּא אָֽנָּא יְיָ הַצְלִיחָה נָּֽא׃ ana Adonai hoshiyah na ana Adonai hatzlichah naWe beseech Thee, O HaShem, save now! We beseech Thee, O HaShem, make us now to prosper! כו26 בָּרוּךְ הַבָּא בְּשֵׁם יְיָ בֵּרַֽכְנוּכֶם מִבֵּית יְהוָֽה׃ barukh haba beshem Adonai berakhnukhem mibeit AdonaiBlessed be he that cometh in the name of HaShem; we bless you out of the house of HaShem. כז27 אֵל ׀ יְיָ וַיָּאֶר לָנוּ אִסְרוּ־חַג בַּעֲבֹתִים עַד־קַרְנוֹת הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ el ׀ Adonai vayaer lanu isru-chag baavotim ad-karnot hamizebechaHaShem is G-d, and hath given us light; order the festival procession with boughs, even unto the horns of the altar. כח28 אֵלִי אַתָּה וְאוֹדֶךָּ אֱלֹהַי אֲרוֹמְמֶֽךָּ׃ eli atah veodeka elohay arommekaThou art my G-d, and I will give thanks unto Thee; Thou art my G-d, I will exalt Thee. כט29 הוֹדוּ לַיהוָה כִּי־טוֹב כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ hodu layhvah ki-tov ki leolam chasdoO give thanks unto HaShem, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever.
