א1 שִׁיר הַֽמַּעֲלוֹת מִמַּעֲמַקִּים קְרָאתִיךָ יְהוָֽה׃ shir hamaalot mimaamakim keratikha AdonaiA Song of Ascents. Out of the depths have I called Thee, O HaShem. ב2 אֲדֹנָי שִׁמְעָה בְקוֹלִי תִּהְיֶינָה אָזְנֶיךָ קַשֻּׁבוֹת לְקוֹל תַּחֲנוּנָֽי׃ Adonai shimah vekoli tiheyeinah azneikha kashuvot lekol tachanunayL-rd, hearken unto my voice; let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. ג3 אִם־עֲוֺנוֹת תִּשְׁמָר־יָהּ אֲדֹנָי מִי יַעֲמֹֽד׃ im-aonot tishemar-yah Adonai mi yaamodIf Thou, HaShem, shouldest mark iniquities, O L-rd, who could stand? ד4 כִּֽי־עִמְּךָ הַסְּלִיחָה לְמַעַן תִּוָּרֵֽא׃ ki-imkha haslichah lemaan tivareFor with Thee there is forgiveness, that Thou mayest be feared. ה5 קִוִּיתִי יְיָ קִוְּתָה נַפְשִׁי וְֽלִדְבָרוֹ הוֹחָֽלְתִּי׃ kiviti Adonai kivtah nafshi velidvaro hochaltiI wait for HaShem, my soul doth wait, and in His word do I hope. ו6 נַפְשִׁי לַֽאדֹנָי מִשֹּׁמְרִים לַבֹּקֶר שֹׁמְרִים לַבֹּֽקֶר׃ nafshi ladonay mishomerim laboker shomrim labokerMy soul waiteth for the L-rd, more than watchmen for the morning; yea, more than watchmen for the morning. ז7 יַחֵל יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל־יְיָ כִּֽי־עִם־יְיָ הַחֶסֶד וְהַרְבֵּה עִמּוֹ פְדֽוּת׃ yachel yisrael el-Adonai ki-im-Adonai hachesed veharbeh imo fedutO Israel, hope in HaShem; for with HaShem there is mercy, and with Him is plenteous redemption. ח8 וְהוּא יִפְדֶּה אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל מִכֹּל עֲוֺנֹתָֽיו׃ vehu yifdeh et-yisrael mikol aonotayvAnd He will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
