א1 יְיָ מָלָךְ תָּגֵל הָאָרֶץ יִשְׂמְחוּ אִיִּים רַבִּֽים׃ Adonai malakh tagel haaretz yismchu iyim rabimHaShem reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad. ב2 עָנָן וַעֲרָפֶל סְבִיבָיו צֶדֶק וּמִשְׁפָּט מְכוֹן כִּסְאֽוֹ׃ anan vaarafel sevivayv tzedek umishpat mekhon kiseoClouds and darkness are round about Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. ג3 אֵשׁ לְפָנָיו תֵּלֵךְ וּתְלַהֵט סָבִיב צָרָֽיו׃ esh lefanayv telekh utlahet saviv tzarayvA fire goeth before Him, and burneth up His adversaries round about. ד4 הֵאִירוּ בְרָקָיו תֵּבֵל רָאֲתָה וַתָּחֵל הָאָֽרֶץ׃ heiru verakayv tevel raatah vatachel haaretzHis lightnings lighted up the world; the earth saw, and trembled. ה5 הָרִים כַּדּוֹנַג נָמַסּוּ מִלִּפְנֵי יְיָ מִלִּפְנֵי אֲדוֹן כָּל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ harim kadonag namasu milifenei Adonai milifenei adon kal-haaretzThe mountains melted like wax at the presence of HaShem, at the presence of the L-rd of the whole earth. ו6 הִגִּידוּ הַשָּׁמַיִם צִדְקוֹ וְרָאוּ כָל־הָעַמִּים כְּבוֹדֽוֹ׃ higidu hashamayim tzidko verau khal-haamim kevodoThe heavens declared His righteousness, and all the peoples saw His glory. ז7 יֵבֹשׁוּ ׀ כָּל־עֹבְדֵי פֶסֶל הַמִּֽתְהַלְלִים בָּאֱלִילִים הִשְׁתַּחֲווּ־לוֹ כָּל־אֱלֹהִֽים׃ yevoshu ׀ kal-ovdei fesel hamitehallim baelilim hishtachavu-lo kal-elohimAshamed be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of things of nought; bow down to Him, all ye gods. ח8 שָׁמְעָה וַתִּשְׂמַח ׀ צִיּוֹן וַתָּגֵלְנָה בְּנוֹת יְהוּדָה לְמַעַן מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ יְהוָֽה׃ shamah vatisemach ׀ tziyon vatagelnah benot yehudah lemaan mishpateikha AdonaiZion heard and was glad, and the daughters of Judah rejoiced; because of Thy judgments, O HaShem. ט9 כִּֽי־אַתָּה יְיָ עֶלְיוֹן עַל־כָּל־הָאָרֶץ מְאֹד נַעֲלֵיתָ עַל־כָּל־אֱלֹהִֽים׃ ki-atah Adonai elyon al-kal-haaretz meod naaleita al-kal-elohimFor Thou, HaShem, art most high above all the earth; Thou art exalted far above all gods. י10 אֹהֲבֵי יְיָ שִׂנְאוּ רָע שֹׁמֵר נַפְשׁוֹת חֲסִידָיו מִיַּד רְשָׁעִים יַצִּילֵֽם׃ ohavei Adonai sinu ra shomer nafshot chasidayv miyad reshaim yatzilemO ye that love HaShem, hate evil; He preserveth the souls of His saints; He delivered them out of the hand of the wicked. יא11 אוֹר זָרֻעַ לַצַּדִּיק וּֽלְיִשְׁרֵי־לֵב שִׂמְחָֽה׃ or zarua latzadik ulyishrei-lev simchahLight is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. יב12 שִׂמְחוּ צַדִּיקִים בַּֽיהוָה וְהוֹדוּ לְזֵכֶר קָדְשֽׁוֹ׃ simchu tzadikim bayhvah vehodu lezekher kadshoBe glad in HaShem, ye righteous; and give thanks to His holy name.
פרק צ״חPsalm 98
א1 מִזְמוֹר שִׁירוּ לַֽיהוָה ׀ שִׁיר חָדָשׁ כִּֽי־נִפְלָאוֹת עָשָׂה הוֹשִֽׁיעָה־לּוֹ יְמִינוֹ וּזְרוֹעַ קָדְשֽׁוֹ׃ mizmor shiru layhvah ׀ shir chadash ki-niflaot asah hoshiyah-lo yemino uzroa kadshoA Psalm. O sing unto HaShem a new song; for He hath done marvellous things; His right hand, and His holy arm, hath wrought salvation for Him. ב2 הוֹדִיעַ יְיָ יְשׁוּעָתוֹ לְעֵינֵי הַגּוֹיִם גִּלָּה צִדְקָתֽוֹ׃ hodiya Adonai yeshuato leeinei hagoyim gilah tzidkatoHaShem hath made known His salvation; His righteousness hath He revealed in the sight of the nations. ג3 זָכַר חַסְדּוֹ ׀ וֶֽאֱֽמוּנָתוֹ לְבֵית יִשְׂרָאֵל רָאוּ כָל־אַפְסֵי־אָרֶץ אֵת יְשׁוּעַת אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ zakhar chasdo ׀ veemunato leveit yisrael rau khal-afsei-aretz et yeshuat eloheinuHe hath remembered His mercy and His faithfulness toward the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our G-d. ד4 הָרִיעוּ לַֽיהוָה כָּל־הָאָרֶץ פִּצְחוּ וְרַנְּנוּ וְזַמֵּֽרוּ׃ hariyu layhvah kal-haaretz pitzechu verannu vezameruShout unto HaShem, all the earth; break forth and sing for joy, yea, sing praises. ה5 זַמְּרוּ לַיהוָה בְּכִנּוֹר בְּכִנּוֹר וְקוֹל זִמְרָֽה׃ zamru layhvah bekhinor bekhinor vekol zimrahSing praises unto HaShem with the harp; with the harp and the voice of melody. ו6 בַּחֲצֹצְרוֹת וְקוֹל שׁוֹפָר הָרִיעוּ לִפְנֵי ׀ הַמֶּלֶךְ יְהוָֽה׃ bachatzotzrot vekol shofar hariyu lifnei ׀ hamelekh AdonaiWith trumpets and sound of the horn shout ye before the King, HaShem. ז7 יִרְעַם הַיָּם וּמְלֹאוֹ תֵּבֵל וְיֹשְׁבֵי בָֽהּ׃ yiram hayam umloo tevel veyoshvei vahLet the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein; ח8 נְהָרוֹת יִמְחֲאוּ־כָף יַחַד הָרִים יְרַנֵּֽנוּ׃ neharot yimchau-khaf yachad harim yeranenuLet the floods clap their hands; let the mountains sing for joy together; ט9 לִֽפְֽנֵי־יְיָ כִּי בָא לִשְׁפֹּט הָאָרֶץ יִשְׁפֹּֽט־תֵּבֵל בְּצֶדֶק וְעַמִּים בְּמֵישָׁרִֽים׃ lifnei-Adonai ki va lishpot haaretz yishpot-tevel betzedek veamim bemeisharimBefore HaShem, for He is come to judge the earth; He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.

א1 יְיָ מָלָךְ יִרְגְּזוּ עַמִּים יֹשֵׁב כְּרוּבִים תָּנוּט הָאָֽרֶץ׃ Adonai malakh yirgzu amim yoshev keruvim tanut haaretzHaShem reigneth; let the peoples tremble; He is enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake. ב2 יְיָ בְּצִיּוֹן גָּדוֹל וְרָם הוּא עַל־כָּל־הָֽעַמִּֽים׃ Adonai betziyon gadol veram hu al-kal-haamimHaShem is great in Zion; and He is high above all the peoples. ג3 יוֹדוּ שִׁמְךָ גָּדוֹל וְנוֹרָא קָדוֹשׁ הֽוּא׃ yodu shimkha gadol venora kadosh huLet them praise Thy name as great and awful; Holy is He. ד4 וְעֹז מֶלֶךְ מִשְׁפָּט אָהֵב אַתָּה כּוֹנַנְתָּ מֵישָׁרִים מִשְׁפָּט וּצְדָקָה בְּיַעֲקֹב ׀ אַתָּה עָשִֽׂיתָ׃ veoz melekh mishpat ahev atah konanta meisharim mishpat utzdakah beyaakov ׀ atah asitaThe strength also of the king who loveth justice--Thou hast established equity, Thou hast executed justice and righteousness in Jacob. ה5 רֽוֹמְמוּ יְיָ אֱלֹהֵינוּ וְֽהִשְׁתַּחֲווּ לַהֲדֹם רַגְלָיו קָדוֹשׁ הֽוּא׃ rommu Adonai eloheinu vehishtachavu lahadom raglayv kadosh huExalt ye HaShem our G-d, and prostrate yourselves at His footstool; Holy is He. ו6 מֹשֶׁה וְאַהֲרֹן ׀ בְּֽכֹהֲנָיו וּשְׁמוּאֵל בְּקֹרְאֵי שְׁמוֹ קֹרִאים אֶל־יְיָ וְהוּא יַעֲנֵֽם׃ mosheh veaharon ׀ bekhohanayv ushmuel bekorei shemo korim el-Adonai vehu yaanemMoses and Aaron among His priests, and Samuel among them that call upon His name, did call upon HaShem, and He answered them. ז7 בְּעַמּוּד עָנָן יְדַבֵּר אֲלֵיהֶם שָׁמְרוּ עֵדֹתָיו וְחֹק נָֽתַן־לָֽמוֹ׃ beamud anan yedaber aleihem shamru edotayv vechok natan-lamoHe spoke unto them in the pillar of cloud; they kept His testimonies, and the statute that He gave them. ח8 יְיָ אֱלֹהֵינוּ אַתָּה עֲנִיתָם אֵל נֹשֵׂא הָיִיתָ לָהֶם וְנֹקֵם עַל־עֲלִילוֹתָֽם׃ Adonai eloheinu atah anitam el nose hayita lahem venokem al-alilotamO HaShem our G-d, Thou didst answer them; a forgiving G-d wast Thou unto them, though Thou tookest vengeance of their misdeeds. ט9 רֽוֹמְמוּ יְיָ אֱלֹהֵינוּ וְהִֽשְׁתַּחֲווּ לְהַר קָדְשׁוֹ כִּֽי־קָדוֹשׁ יְיָ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ rommu Adonai eloheinu vehishtachavu lehar kadsho ki-kadosh Adonai eloheinuExalt ye HaShem our G-d, and worship at His holy hill; for HaShem our G-d is holy.

א1 מִזְמוֹר לְתוֹדָה הָרִיעוּ לַיהוָה כָּל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ mizmor letodah hariyu layhvah kal-haaretzA Psalm of thanksgiving. Shout unto HaShem, all the earth. ב2 עִבְדוּ אֶת־יְיָ בְּשִׂמְחָה בֹּאוּ לְפָנָיו בִּרְנָנָֽה׃ ivdu et-Adonai besimchah bou lefanayv birenanahServe HaShem with gladness; come before His presence with singing. ג3 דְּעוּ כִּֽי־יְיָ הוּא אֱלֹהִים הֽוּא־עָשָׂנוּ ולא אֲנַחְנוּ עַמּוֹ וְצֹאן מַרְעִיתֽוֹ׃ deu ki-Adonai hu Elohim hu-asanu vl anachnu amo vetzon maritoKnow ye that HaShem He is G-d; it is He that hath made us, and we our His, His people, and the flock of His pasture. ד4 בֹּאוּ שְׁעָרָיו ׀ בְּתוֹדָה חֲצֵרֹתָיו בִּתְהִלָּה הֽוֹדוּ־לוֹ בָּרֲכוּ שְׁמֽוֹ׃ bou shearayv ׀ betodah chatzerotayv bitehilah hodu-lo barakhu shemoEnter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise; give thanks unto Him, and bless His name. ה5 כִּי־טוֹב יְהֹוָה לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ וְעַד־דֹּר וָדֹר אֱמוּנָתֽוֹ׃ ki-tov Adonai leolam chasdo vead-dor vador emunatoFor HaShem is good; His mercy endureth for ever; and His faithfulness unto all generations.

א1 לְדָוִד מִזְמוֹר חֶֽסֶד־וּמִשְׁפָּט אָשִׁירָה לְךָ יְיָ אֲזַמֵּֽרָה׃ ledavid mizmor chesed-umishpat ashirah lekha Adonai azamerahA Psalm of David. I will sing of mercy and justice; unto Thee, O HaShem, will I sing praises. ב2 אַשְׂכִּילָה ׀ בְּדֶרֶךְ תָּמִים מָתַי תָּבוֹא אֵלָי אֶתְהַלֵּךְ בְּתָם־לְבָבִי בְּקֶרֶב בֵּיתִֽי׃ askilah ׀ bederekh tamim matay tavo elay ethalekhe betam-levavi bekerev beitiI will give heed unto the way of integrity; oh when wilt Thou come unto me? I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart. ג3 לֹֽא־אָשִׁית ׀ לְנֶגֶד עֵינַי דְּֽבַר־בְּלִיָּעַל עֲשֹֽׂה־סֵטִים שָׂנֵאתִי לֹא יִדְבַּק בִּֽי׃ lo-ashit ׀ leneged einay devar-beliyaal asoh-setim saneti lo yidbak biI will set no base thing before mine eyes; I hate the doing of things crooked; it shall not cleave unto me. ד4 לֵבָב עִקֵּשׁ יָסוּר מִמֶּנִּי רָע לֹא אֵדָֽע׃ levav ikesh yasur mimeni ra lo edaA perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil thing. ה5 מלושני בַסֵּתֶר ׀ רֵעֵהוּ אוֹתוֹ אַצְמִית גְּֽבַהּ־עֵינַיִם וּרְחַב לֵבָב אֹתוֹ לֹא אוּכָֽל׃ mlvshny vaseter ׀ reehu oto atzmit gevah-einayim urchav levav oto lo ukhalWhoso slandereth his neighbour in secret, him will I destroy; whoso is haughty of eye and proud of heart, him will I not suffer. ו6 עֵינַי ׀ בְּנֶֽאֶמְנֵי־אֶרֶץ לָשֶׁבֶת עִמָּדִי הֹלֵךְ בְּדֶרֶךְ תָּמִים הוּא יְשָׁרְתֵֽנִי׃ einay ׀ beneemnei-eretz lashevet imadi holekh bederekh tamim hu yesharteniMine eyes are upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he that walketh in a way of integrity, he shall minister unto me. ז7 לֹֽא־יֵשֵׁב ׀ בְּקֶרֶב בֵּיתִי עֹשֵׂה רְמִיָּה דֹּבֵר שְׁקָרִים לֹֽא־יִכּוֹן לְנֶגֶד עֵינָֽי׃ lo-yeshev ׀ bekerev beiti oseh remiyah dover shekarim lo-yikon leneged einayHe that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house; he that speaketh falsehood shall not be established before mine eyes. ח8 לַבְּקָרִים אַצְמִית כָּל־רִשְׁעֵי־אָרֶץ לְהַכְרִית מֵֽעִיר־יְיָ כָּל־פֹּעֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃ labkarim atzmit kal-rishei-aretz lehakhrit meir-Adonai kal-poalei avenMorning by morning will I destroy all the wicked of the land; to cut off all the workers of iniquity from the city of HaShem.

א1 תְּפִלָּה לְעָנִי כִֽי־יַעֲטֹף וְלִפְנֵי יְיָ יִשְׁפֹּךְ שִׂיחֽוֹ׃ tefilah leani khi-yaatof velifnei Adonai yishpokhe sichoA Prayer of the afflicted, when he fainteth, and poureth out his complaint before HaShem. ב2 יְיָ שִׁמְעָה תְפִלָּתִי וְשַׁוְעָתִי אֵלֶיךָ תָבֽוֹא׃ Adonai shimah tefilati veshavati eleikha tavoO HaShem, hear my prayer, and let my cry come unto Thee. ג3 אַל־תַּסְתֵּר פָּנֶיךָ ׀ מִמֶּנִּי בְּיוֹם צַר לִי הַטֵּֽה־אֵלַי אָזְנֶךָ בְּיוֹם אֶקְרָא מַהֵר עֲנֵֽנִי׃ al-taseter paneikha ׀ mimeni beyom tzar li hateh-elay aznekha beyom ekra maher aneniHide not Thy face from me in the day of my distress; incline Thine ear unto me; in the day when I call answer me speedily. ד4 כִּֽי־כָלוּ בְעָשָׁן יָמָי וְעַצְמוֹתַי כְּמוֹ־קֵד נִחָֽרוּ׃ ki-khalu veashan yamay veatzmotay kemo-ked nicharuFor my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as a hearth. ה5 הוּכָּֽה־כָעֵשֶׂב וַיִּבַשׁ לִבִּי כִּֽי־שָׁכַחְתִּי מֵאֲכֹל לַחְמִֽי׃ hukah-khaesev vayivash libi ki-shakhachti meakhol lachmiMy heart is smitten like grass, and withered; for I forget to eat my bread. ו6 מִקּוֹל אַנְחָתִי דָּבְקָה עַצְמִי לִבְשָׂרִֽי׃ mikol anchati davekah atzmi livsariBy reason of the voice of my sighing my bones cleave to my flesh. ז7 דָּמִיתִי לִקְאַת מִדְבָּר הָיִיתִי כְּכוֹס חֳרָבֽוֹת׃ damiti likat midbar hayiti kekhos choravotI am like a pelican of the wilderness; I am become as an owl of the waste places. ח8 שָׁקַדְתִּי וָאֶֽהְיֶה כְּצִפּוֹר בּוֹדֵד עַל־גָּֽג׃ shakadti vaehyeh ketzipor boded al-gagI watch, and am become like a sparrow that is alone upon the housetop. ט9 כָּל־הַיּוֹם חֵרְפוּנִי אוֹיְבָי מְהוֹלָלַי בִּי נִשְׁבָּֽעוּ׃ kal-hayom cherfuni oyvay meholalay bi nishbauMine enemies taunt me all the day; they that are mad against me do curse by me. י10 כִּי־אֵפֶר כַּלֶּחֶם אָכָלְתִּי וְשִׁקֻּוַי בִּבְכִי מָסָֽכְתִּי׃ ki-efer kalechem akhalti veshikuvay bivekhi masakhtiFor I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping, יא11 מִפְּנֵֽי־זַֽעַמְךָ וְקִצְפֶּךָ כִּי נְשָׂאתַנִי וַתַּשְׁלִיכֵֽנִי׃ mipnei-zaamkha vekitzpekha ki nesatani vatashelikheniBecause of Thine indignation and Thy wrath; for Thou hast taken me up, and cast me away. יב12 יָמַי כְּצֵל נָטוּי וַאֲנִי כָּעֵשֶׂב אִיבָֽשׁ׃ yamay ketzel natuy vaani kaesev ivashMy days are like a lengthening shadow; and I am withered like grass. יג13 וְאַתָּה יְיָ לְעוֹלָם תֵּשֵׁב וְזִכְרְךָ לְדֹר וָדֹֽר׃ veatah Adonai leolam teshev vezikhrkha ledor vadorBut Thou, O HaShem, sittest enthroned for ever; and Thy name is unto all generations. יד14 אַתָּה תָקוּם תְּרַחֵם צִיּוֹן כִּי־עֵת לְחֶֽנְנָהּ כִּי־בָא מוֹעֵֽד׃ atah takum terachem tziyon ki-et lechennah ki-va moedThou wilt arise, and have compassion upon Zion; for it is time to be gracious unto her, for the appointed time is come. טו15 כִּֽי־רָצוּ עֲבָדֶיךָ אֶת־אֲבָנֶיהָ וְֽאֶת־עֲפָרָהּ יְחֹנֵֽנוּ׃ ki-ratzu avadeikha et-avaneiha veet-afarah yechonenuFor Thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and love her dust. טז16 וְיִֽירְאוּ גוֹיִם אֶת־שֵׁם יְיָ וְֽכָל־מַלְכֵי הָאָרֶץ אֶת־כְּבוֹדֶֽךָ׃ veyiru goyim et-shem Adonai vekhal-malkhei haaretz et-kevodekhaSo the nations will fear the name of HaShem, and all the kings of the earth Thy glory; יז17 כִּֽי־בָנָה יְיָ צִיּוֹן נִרְאָה בִּכְבוֹדֽוֹ׃ ki-vanah Adonai tziyon nirah bikhevodoWhen HaShem hath built up Zion, when He hath appeared in His glory; יח18 פָּנָה אֶל־תְּפִלַּת הָעַרְעָר וְלֹֽא־בָזָה אֶת־תְּפִלָּתָֽם׃ panah el-tefilat haarar velo-vazah et-tefilatamWhen He hath regarded the prayer of the destitute, and hath not despised their prayer. יט19 תִּכָּתֶב זֹאת לְדוֹר אַחֲרוֹן וְעַם נִבְרָא יְהַלֶּל־יָֽהּ׃ tikatev zot ledor acharon veam nivra yehalel-yahThis shall be written for the generation to come; and a people which shall be created shall praise HaShem. כ20 כִּֽי־הִשְׁקִיף מִמְּרוֹם קָדְשׁוֹ יְיָ מִשָּׁמַיִם ׀ אֶל־אֶרֶץ הִבִּֽיט׃ ki-hishkif mimrom kadsho Adonai mishamayim ׀ el-eretz hibitFor He hath looked down from the height of His sanctuary; from heaven did HaShem behold the earth; כא21 לִשְׁמֹעַ אֶנְקַת אָסִיר לְפַתֵּחַ בְּנֵי תְמוּתָֽה׃ lishmoa enkat asir lefatecha benei temutahTo hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death; כב22 לְסַפֵּר בְּצִיּוֹן שֵׁם יְיָ וּתְהִלָּתוֹ בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ lesaper betziyon shem Adonai uthilato birushalaimThat men may tell of the name of HaShem in Zion, and His praise in Jerusalem; כג23 בְּהִקָּבֵץ עַמִּים יַחְדָּו וּמַמְלָכוֹת לַעֲבֹד אֶת־יְהוָֽה׃ behikavetz amim yachdav umamlakhot laavod et-AdonaiWhen the peoples are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve HaShem. כד24 עִנָּה בַדֶּרֶךְ כחו קִצַּר יָמָֽי׃ inah vaderekh khchv kitzar yamayHe weakened my strength in the way; He shortened my days. כה25 אֹמַר אֵלִי אַֽל־תַּעֲלֵנִי בַּחֲצִי יָמָי בְּדוֹר דּוֹרִים שְׁנוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ omar eli al-taaleni bachatzi yamay bedor dorim shenoteikhaI say: 'O my G-d, take me not away in the midst of my days, Thou whose years endure throughout all generations. כו26 לְפָנִים הָאָרֶץ יָסַדְתָּ וּֽמַעֲשֵׂה יָדֶיךָ שָׁמָֽיִם׃ lefanim haaretz yasadta umaaseh yadeikha shamayimOf old Thou didst lay the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the work of Thy hands. כז27 הֵמָּה ׀ יֹאבֵדוּ וְאַתָּה תַעֲמֹד וְכֻלָּם כַּבֶּגֶד יִבְלוּ כַּלְּבוּשׁ תַּחֲלִיפֵם וְֽיַחֲלֹֽפוּ׃ hemah ׀ yovedu veatah taamod vekhulam kabeged yivlu kalevush tachalifem veyachalofuThey shall perish, but Thou shalt endure; yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt Thou change them, and they shall pass away; כח28 וְאַתָּה־הוּא וּשְׁנוֹתֶיךָ לֹא יִתָּֽמּוּ׃ veatah-hu ushnoteikha lo yitamuBut Thou art the selfsame, and Thy years shall have no end. כט29 בְּנֵֽי־עֲבָדֶיךָ יִשְׁכּוֹנוּ וְזַרְעָם לְפָנֶיךָ יִכּֽוֹן׃ benei-avadeikha yishkonu vezaram lefaneikha yikonThe children of Thy servants shall dwell securely, and their seed shall be established before Thee.'

א1 לְדָוִד ׀ בָּרֲכִי נַפְשִׁי אֶת־יְיָ וְכָל־קְרָבַי אֶת־שֵׁם קָדְשֽׁוֹ׃ ledavid ׀ barakhi nafshi et-Adonai vekhal-keravay et-shem kadshoA Psalm of David. Bless HaShem, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name. ב2 בָּרֲכִי נַפְשִׁי אֶת־יְיָ וְאַל־תִּשְׁכְּחִי כָּל־גְּמוּלָֽיו׃ barakhi nafshi et-Adonai veal-tishekchi kal-gemulayvBless HaShem, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits; ג3 הַסֹּלֵחַ לְכָל־עֲוֺנֵכִי הָרֹפֵא לְכָל־תַּחֲלֻאָֽיְכִי׃ hasolecha lekhal-aonekhi harofe lekhal-tachaluaykhiWho forgiveth all thine iniquity; who healeth all Thy diseases; ד4 הַגּוֹאֵל מִשַּׁחַת חַיָּיְכִי הַֽמְעַטְּרֵכִי חֶסֶד וְרַחֲמִֽים׃ hagoel mishachat chayayekhi hamatrekhi chesed verachamimWho redeemeth Thy life from the pit; who encompasseth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; ה5 הַמַּשְׂבִּיַע בַּטּוֹב עֶדְיֵךְ תִּתְחַדֵּשׁ כַּנֶּשֶׁר נְעוּרָֽיְכִי׃ hamasebiya batov edyekh titechadesh kanesher neuraykhiWho satisfieth thine old age with good things; so that Thy youth is renewed like the eagle. ו6 עֹשֵׂה צְדָקוֹת יְיָ וּמִשְׁפָּטִים לְכָל־עֲשׁוּקִֽים׃ oseh tzedakot Adonai umishpatim lekhal-ashukimHaShem executeth righteousness, and acts of justice for all that are oppressed. ז7 יוֹדִיעַ דְּרָכָיו לְמֹשֶׁה לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עֲלִילֽוֹתָיו׃ yodiya derakhayv lemosheh livnei yisrael alilotayvHe made known His ways unto Moses, His doings unto the children of Israel. ח8 רַחוּם וְחַנּוּן יְיָ אֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם וְרַב־חָֽסֶד׃ rachum vechanun Adonai erekh apayim verav-chasedHaShem is full of compassion and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. ט9 לֹֽא־לָנֶצַח יָרִיב וְלֹא לְעוֹלָם יִטּֽוֹר׃ lo-lanetzach yariv velo leolam yitorHe will not always contend; neither will He keep His anger for ever. י10 לֹא כַחֲטָאֵינוּ עָשָׂה לָנוּ וְלֹא כַעֲוֺנֹתֵינוּ גָּמַל עָלֵֽינוּ׃ lo khachataeinu asah lanu velo khaaonoteinu gamal aleinuHe hath not dealt with us after our sins, nor requited us according to our iniquities. יא11 כִּי כִגְבֹהַּ שָׁמַיִם עַל־הָאָרֶץ גָּבַר חַסְדּוֹ עַל־יְרֵאָֽיו׃ ki khigvoha shamayim al-haaretz gavar chasdo al-yereayvFor as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. יב12 כִּרְחֹק מִזְרָח מִֽמַּֽעֲרָב הִֽרְחִיק מִמֶּנּוּ אֶת־פְּשָׁעֵֽינוּ׃ kirechok mizrach mimaarav hirchik mimenu et-peshaeinuAs far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us. יג13 כְּרַחֵם אָב עַל־בָּנִים רִחַם יְיָ עַל־יְרֵאָֽיו׃ kerachem av al-banim richam Adonai al-yereayvLike as a father hath compassion upon his children, so hath HaShem compassion upon them that fear Him. יד14 כִּי־הוּא יָדַע יִצְרֵנוּ זָכוּר כִּי־עָפָר אֲנָֽחְנוּ׃ ki-hu yada yitzrenu zakhur ki-afar anachnuFor He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust. טו15 אֱנוֹשׁ כֶּחָצִיר יָמָיו כְּצִיץ הַשָּׂדֶה כֵּן יָצִֽיץ׃ enosh kechatzir yamayv ketzitz hasadeh ken yatzitzAs for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. טז16 כִּי רוּחַ עָֽבְרָה־בּוֹ וְאֵינֶנּוּ וְלֹא־יַכִּירֶנּוּ עוֹד מְקוֹמֽוֹ׃ ki rucha avrah-bo veeinenu velo-yakirenu od mekomoFor the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof knoweth it no more. יז17 וְחֶסֶד יְיָ ׀ מֵעוֹלָם וְעַד־עוֹלָם עַל־יְרֵאָיו וְצִדְקָתוֹ לִבְנֵי בָנִֽים׃ vechesed Adonai ׀ meolam vead-olam al-yereayv vetzidkato livnei vanimBut the mercy of HaShem is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children's children; יח18 לְשֹׁמְרֵי בְרִיתוֹ וּלְזֹכְרֵי פִקֻּדָיו לַעֲשׂוֹתָֽם׃ leshomrei verito ulzokhrei fikudayv laasotamTo such as keep His covenant, and to those that remember His precepts to do them. יט19 יְֽהוָה בַּשָּׁמַיִם הֵכִין כִּסְאוֹ וּמַלְכוּתוֹ בַּכֹּל מָשָֽׁלָה׃ Adonai bashamayim hekhin kiseo umalkhuto bakol mashalahHaShem hath established His throne in the heavens; and His kingdom ruleth over all. כ20 בָּרֲכוּ יְיָ מַלְאָכָיו גִּבֹּרֵי כֹחַ עֹשֵׂי דְבָרוֹ לִשְׁמֹעַ בְּקוֹל דְּבָרֽוֹ׃ barakhu Adonai malakhayv giborei khocha osei devaro lishmoa bekol devaroBless HaShem, ye angels of His, ye mighty in strength, that fulfil His word, hearkening unto the voice of His word. כא21 בָּרֲכוּ יְיָ כָּל־צְבָאָיו מְשָׁרְתָיו עֹשֵׂי רְצוֹנֽוֹ׃ barakhu Adonai kal-tzevaayv meshartayv osei retzonoBless HaShem, all ye His hosts; ye ministers of His, that do His pleasure. כב22 בָּרֲכוּ יְיָ ׀ כָּֽל־מַעֲשָׂיו בְּכָל־מְקֹמוֹת מֶמְשַׁלְתּוֹ בָּרֲכִי נַפְשִׁי אֶת־יְהוָֽה׃ barakhu Adonai ׀ kal-maasayv bekhal-mekomot memshalto barakhi nafshi et-AdonaiBless HaShem, all ye His works, in all places of His dominion; bless HaShem, O my soul.
