א1 לַמְנַצֵּחַ מִזְמוֹר לְדָוִֽד׃ lamnatzecha mizmor ledavidFor the Leader. A Psalm of David. ב2 שְׁמַע־אֱלֹהִים קוֹלִי בְשִׂיחִי מִפַּחַד אוֹיֵב תִּצֹּר חַיָּֽי׃ shema-Elohim koli vesichi mipachad oyev titzor chayayHear my voice, O G-d, in my complaint; preserve my life from the terror of the enemy. ג3 תַּסְתִּירֵנִי מִסּוֹד מְרֵעִים מֵרִגְשַׁת פֹּעֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃ tasetireni misod mereim merigshat poalei avenHide me from the council of evil-doers; from the tumult of the workers of iniquity; ד4 אֲשֶׁר שָׁנְנוּ כַחֶרֶב לְשׁוֹנָם דָּרְכוּ חִצָּם דָּבָר מָֽר׃ asher shannu khacherev leshonam darekhu chitzam davar marWho have whet their tongue like a sword, and have aimed their arrow, a poisoned word; ה5 לִירוֹת בַּמִּסְתָּרִים תָּם פִּתְאֹם יֹרֻהוּ וְלֹא יִירָֽאוּ׃ lirot bamisetarim tam piteom yoruhu velo yirauThat they may shoot in secret places at the blameless; suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not. ו6 יְחַזְּקוּ־לָמוֹ ׀ דָּבָר רָע יְֽסַפְּרוּ לִטְמוֹן מוֹקְשִׁים אָמְרוּ מִי יִרְאֶה־לָּֽמוֹ׃ yechazku-lamo ׀ davar ra yesapru litmon mokshim amru mi yireh-lamoThey encourage one another in an evil matter; they converse of laying snares secretly; they ask, who would see them. ז7 יַֽחְפְּֽשׂוּ־עוֹלֹת תַּמְנוּ חֵפֶשׂ מְחֻפָּשׂ וְקֶרֶב אִישׁ וְלֵב עָמֹֽק׃ yachpsu-olot tamenu chefes mechupas vekerev ish velev amokThey search out iniquities, they have accomplished a diligent search; even in the inward thought of every one, and the deep heart. ח8 וַיֹּרֵם אֱלֹהִים חֵץ פִּתְאוֹם הָיוּ מַכּוֹתָֽם׃ vayorem Elohim chetz piteom hayu makotamBut G-d doth shoot at them with an arrow suddenly; thence are their wounds. ט9 וַיַּכְשִׁילוּהוּ עָלֵימוֹ לְשׁוֹנָם יִתְנֹדֲדוּ כָּל־רֹאֵה בָֽם׃ vayakheshiluhu aleimo leshonam yitnodadu kal-roeh vamSo they make their own tongue a stumbling unto themselves; all that see them shake the head. י10 וַיִּֽירְאוּ כָּל־אָדָם וַיַּגִּידוּ פֹּעַל אֱלֹהִים וּֽמַעֲשֵׂהוּ הִשְׂכִּֽילוּ׃ vayiru kal-adam vayagidu poal Elohim umaasehu hiskiluAnd all men fear; and they declare the work of G-d, and understand His doing. יא11 יִשְׂמַח צַדִּיק בַּיהוָה וְחָסָה בוֹ וְיִתְהַֽלְלוּ כָּל־יִשְׁרֵי־לֵֽב׃ yismach tzadik bayhvah vechasah vo veyithallu kal-yishrei-levThe righteous shall be glad in HaShem, and shall take refuge in Him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
