א1 לַמְנַצֵּחַ עַל־שֹׁשַׁנִּים לִבְנֵי־קֹרַח מַשְׂכִּיל שִׁיר יְדִידֹֽת׃ lamnatzecha al-shoshanim livnei-korach maskil shir yedidotFor the Leader; upon Shoshannim; a Psalm of the sons of Korah. Maschil. A Song of loves. ב2 רָחַשׁ לִבִּי ׀ דָּבָר טוֹב אֹמֵר אָנִי מַעֲשַׂי לְמֶלֶךְ לְשׁוֹנִי עֵט ׀ סוֹפֵר מָהִֽיר׃ rachash libi ׀ davar tov omer ani maasay lemelekh leshoni et ׀ sofer mahirMy heart overfloweth with a goodly matter; I say: 'My work is concerning a king'; my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. ג3 יָפְיָפִיתָ מִבְּנֵי אָדָם הוּצַק חֵן בְּשְׂפְתוֹתֶיךָ עַל־כֵּן בֵּֽרַכְךָ אֱלֹהִים לְעוֹלָֽם׃ yafyafita mibnei adam hutzak chen beseftoteikha al-ken berakhkha Elohim leolamThou art fairer than the children of men; grace is poured upon thy lips; therefore G-d hath blessed thee for ever. ד4 חֲגֽוֹר־חַרְבְּךָ עַל־יָרֵךְ גִּבּוֹר הוֹדְךָ וַהֲדָרֶֽךָ׃ chagor-charbkha al-yarekh gibor hodkha vahadarekhaGird thy sword upon thy thigh, O mighty one, Thy glory and thy majesty. ה5 וַהֲדָרְךָ ׀ צְלַח רְכַב עַֽל־דְּבַר־אֱמֶת וְעַנְוָה־צֶדֶק וְתוֹרְךָ נוֹרָאוֹת יְמִינֶֽךָ׃ vahadarkha ׀ tzelach rekhav al-devar-emet veanvah-tzedek vetorkha noraot yeminekhaAnd in thy majesty prosper, ride on, in behalf of truth and meekness and righteousness; and let thy right hand teach thee tremendous things. ו6 חִצֶּיךָ שְׁנוּנִים עַמִּים תַּחְתֶּיךָ יִפְּלוּ בְּלֵב אוֹיְבֵי הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ chitzeikha shenunim amim tacheteikha yiplu belev oyvei hamelekhThine arrows are sharp--the peoples fall under thee-- they sink into the heart of the king's enemies. ז7 כִּסְאֲךָ אֱלֹהִים עוֹלָם וָעֶד שֵׁבֶט מִישֹׁר שֵׁבֶט מַלְכוּתֶֽךָ׃ kiseakha Elohim olam vaed shevet mishor shevet malkhutekhaThy throne given of G-d is for ever and ever; a sceptre of equity is the sceptre of thy kingdom. ח8 אָהַבְתָּ צֶּדֶק וַתִּשְׂנָא רֶשַׁע עַל־כֵּן ׀ מְשָׁחֲךָ אֱלֹהִים אֱלֹהֶיךָ שֶׁמֶן שָׂשׂוֹן מֵֽחֲבֵרֶֽיךָ׃ ahavta tzedek vatisena resha al-ken ׀ meshachakha Elohim eloheikha shemen sason mechavereikhaThou hast loved righteousness, and hated wickedness; therefore G-d, thy G-d, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. ט9 מֹר־וַאֲהָלוֹת קְצִיעוֹת כָּל־בִּגְדֹתֶיךָ מִֽן־הֵיכְלֵי שֵׁן מִנִּי שִׂמְּחֽוּךָ׃ mor-vaahalot ketziyot kal-bigedoteikha min-heikhlei shen mini simchukhaMyrrh, and aloes, and cassia are all thy garments; out of ivory palaces stringed instruments have made thee glad. י10 בְּנוֹת מְלָכִים בְּיִקְּרוֹתֶיךָ נִצְּבָה שֵׁגַל לִֽימִינְךָ בְּכֶתֶם אוֹפִֽיר׃ benot melakhim beyikroteikha nitzvah shegal liminkha bekhetem ofirKings' daughters are among thy favourites; at thy right hand doth stand the queen in gold of Ophir. יא11 שִׁמְעִי־בַת וּרְאִי וְהַטִּי אָזְנֵךְ וְשִׁכְחִי עַמֵּךְ וּבֵית אָבִֽיךְ׃ shimi-vat uri vehati aznekh veshikhchi amekhe uveit avikh'Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house; יב12 וְיִתְאָו הַמֶּלֶךְ יָפְיֵךְ כִּי־הוּא אֲדֹנַיִךְ וְהִשְׁתַּֽחֲוִי־לֽוֹ׃ veyitav hamelekh yafyekh ki-hu adonayikh vehishtachavi-loSo shall the king desire thy beauty; for he is thy lord; and do homage unto him. יג13 וּבַֽת־צֹר ׀ בְּמִנְחָה פָּנַיִךְ יְחַלּוּ עֲשִׁירֵי עָֽם׃ uvat-tzor ׀ beminchah panayikh yechalu ashirei amAnd, O daughter of Tyre, the richest of the people shall entreat thy favour with a gift.' יד14 כָּל־כְּבוּדָּה בַת־מֶלֶךְ פְּנִימָה מִֽמִּשְׁבְּצוֹת זָהָב לְבוּשָֽׁהּ׃ kal-kevudah vat-melekh penimah mimishebtzot zahav levushahAll glorious is the king's daughter within the palace; her raiment is of chequer work inwrought with gold. טו15 לִרְקָמוֹת תּוּבַל לַמֶּלֶךְ בְּתוּלוֹת אַחֲרֶיהָ רֵעוֹתֶיהָ מוּבָאוֹת לָֽךְ׃ lirkamot tuval lamelekh betulot achareiha reoteiha muvaot lakhShe shall be led unto the king on richly woven stuff; the virgins her companions in her train being brought unto thee. טז16 תּוּבַלְנָה בִּשְׂמָחֹת וָגִיל תְּבֹאֶינָה בְּהֵיכַל מֶֽלֶךְ׃ tuvalnah bisemachot vagil tevoeinah beheikhal melekhThey shall be led with gladness and rejoicing; they shall enter into the king's palace. יז17 תַּחַת אֲבֹתֶיךָ יִהְיוּ בָנֶיךָ תְּשִׁיתֵמוֹ לְשָׂרִים בְּכָל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ tachat avoteikha yihyu vaneikha teshitemo lesarim bekhal-haaretzInstead of thy fathers shall be thy sons, whom thou shalt make princes in all the land. יח18 אַזְכִּירָה שִׁמְךָ בְּכָל־דֹּר וָדֹר עַל־כֵּן עַמִּים יְהוֹדֻךָ לְעֹלָם וָעֶֽד׃ azkirah shimkha bekhal-dor vador al-ken amim yehodukha leolam vaedI will make thy name to be remembered in all generations; therefore shall the peoples praise thee for ever and ever.
