א1 לַמְנַצֵּחַ אַל־תַּשְׁחֵת לְדָוִד מִכְתָּֽם׃ lamnatzecha al-tashechet ledavid mikhtamFor the Leader; Al-tashheth. A Psalm of David; Michtam. ב2 הַֽאֻמְנָם אֵלֶם צֶדֶק תְּדַבֵּרוּן מֵישָׁרִים תִּשְׁפְּטוּ בְּנֵי אָדָֽם׃ haumnam elem tzedek tedaberun meisharim tisheptu benei adamDo ye indeed speak as a righteous company? Do ye judge with equity the sons of men? ג3 אַף־בְּלֵב עוֹלֹת תִּפְעָלוּן בָּאָרֶץ חֲמַס יְדֵיכֶם תְּפַלֵּֽסֽוּן׃ af-belev olot tifealun baaretz chamas yedeikhem tefalesunYea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh out in the earth the violence of your hands. ד4 זֹרוּ רְשָׁעִים מֵרָחֶם תָּעוּ מִבֶּטֶן דֹּבְרֵי כָזָֽב׃ zoru reshaim merachem tau mibeten doverei khazavThe wicked are estranged from the womb; the speakers of lies go astray as soon as they are born. ה5 חֲמַת־לָמוֹ כִּדְמוּת חֲמַת־נָחָשׁ כְּמוֹ־פֶתֶן חֵרֵשׁ יַאְטֵם אָזְנֽוֹ׃ chamat-lamo kidemut chamat-nachash kemo-feten cheresh yatem aznoTheir venom is like the venom of a serpent; they are like the deaf asp that stoppeth her ear; ו6 אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יִשְׁמַע לְקוֹל מְלַחֲשִׁים חוֹבֵר חֲבָרִים מְחֻכָּֽם׃ asher lo-yishma lekol melachashim chover chavarim mechukamWhich hearkeneth not to the voice of charmers, or of the most cunning binder of spells. ז7 אֱֽלֹהִים הֲרָס־שִׁנֵּימוֹ בְּפִימוֹ מַלְתְּעוֹת כְּפִירִים נְתֹץ ׀ יְהוָֽה׃ elohim haras-shineimo befimo maltot kefirim netotz ׀ AdonaiBreak their teeth, O G-d, in their mouth; break out the cheek-teeth of the young lions, O HaShem. ח8 יִמָּאֲסוּ כְמוֹ־מַיִם יִתְהַלְּכוּ־לָמוֹ יִדְרֹךְ חצו כְּמוֹ יִתְמֹלָֽלוּ׃ yimaasu khemo-mayim yithalkhu-lamo yidrokh chtzv kemo yitmolaluLet them melt away as water that runneth apace; when he aimeth his arrows, let them be as though they were cut off. ט9 כְּמוֹ שַׁבְּלוּל תֶּמֶס יַהֲלֹךְ נֵפֶל אֵשֶׁת בַּל־חָזוּ שָֽׁמֶשׁ׃ kemo shablul temes yahalokh nefel eshet bal-chazu shameshLet them be as a snail which melteth and passeth away; like the untimely births of a woman, that have not seen the sun. י10 בְּטֶרֶם יָבִינוּ סִּֽירֹתֵיכֶם אָטָד כְּמוֹ־חַי כְּמוֹ־חָרוֹן יִשְׂעָרֶֽנּוּ׃ beterem yavinu siroteikhem atad kemo-chay kemo-charon yisarenuBefore your pots can feel the thorns, He will sweep it away with a whirlwind, the raw and the burning alike. יא11 יִשְׂמַח צַדִּיק כִּי־חָזָה נָקָם פְּעָמָיו יִרְחַץ בְּדַם הָרָשָֽׁע׃ yismach tzadik ki-chazah nakam peamayv yirchatz bedam harashaThe righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance; he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. יב12 וְיֹאמַר אָדָם אַךְ־פְּרִי לַצַּדִּיק אַךְ יֵשׁ־אֱלֹהִים שֹׁפְטִים בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ veyomar adam akh-peri latzadik akh yesh-Elohim shoftim baaretzAnd men shall say: 'Verily there is a reward for the righteous; verily there is a G-d that judgeth in the earth.'
