פרק ל״הPsalm 35
א1 לְדָוִד ׀ רִיבָה יְיָ אֶת־יְרִיבַי לְחַם אֶת־לֹֽחֲמָֽי׃ ledavid ׀ rivah Adonai et-yerivay lecham et-lochamayA Psalm of David. Strive, O HaShem, with them that strive with me; fight against them that fight against me. ב2 הַחֲזֵק מָגֵן וְצִנָּה וְקוּמָה בְּעֶזְרָתִֽי׃ hachazek magen vetzinah vekumah beezratiTake hold of shield and buckler, and rise up to my help. ג3 וְהָרֵק חֲנִית וּסְגֹר לִקְרַאת רֹדְפָי אֱמֹר לְנַפְשִׁי יְֽשֻׁעָתֵךְ אָֽנִי׃ veharek chanit usgor likrat rodfay emor lenafshi yeshuatekh aniDraw out also the spear, and the battle-axe, against them that pursue me; say unto my soul: 'I am Thy salvation.' ד4 יֵבֹשׁוּ וְיִכָּלְמוּ מְבַקְשֵׁי נַפְשִׁי יִסֹּגוּ אָחוֹר וְיַחְפְּרוּ חֹשְׁבֵי רָעָתִֽי׃ yevoshu veyikalemu mevakshei nafshi yisogu achor veyachpru choshvei raatiLet them be ashamed and brought to confusion that seek after my soul; let them be turned back and be abashed that devise my hurt. ה5 יִֽהְיוּ כְּמֹץ לִפְנֵי־רוּחַ וּמַלְאַךְ יְיָ דּוֹחֶֽה׃ yihyu kemotz lifnei-rucha umalakh Adonai dochehLet them be as chaff before the wind, the angel of HaShem thrusting them. ו6 יְֽהִי־דַרְכָּם חֹשֶׁךְ וַחֲלַקְלַקּוֹת וּמַלְאַךְ יְיָ רֹדְפָֽם׃ yehi-darkam choshekh vachalaklakot umalakh Adonai rodfamLet their way be dark and slippery, the angel of HaShem pursuing them. ז7 כִּֽי־חִנָּם טָֽמְנוּ־לִי שַׁחַת רִשְׁתָּם חִנָּם חָפְרוּ לְנַפְשִֽׁי׃ ki-chinam tamnu-li shachat rishtam chinam chafru lenafshiFor without cause have they hid for me the pit, even their net, without cause have they digged for my soul. ח8 תְּבוֹאֵהוּ שׁוֹאָה לֹֽא־יֵדָע וְרִשְׁתּוֹ אֲשֶׁר־טָמַן תִּלְכְּדוֹ בְּשׁוֹאָה יִפָּל־בָּֽהּ׃ tevoehu shoah lo-yeda verishto asher-taman tilekdo beshoah yipal-bahLet destruction come upon him unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself; with destruction let him fall therein. ט9 וְנַפְשִׁי תָּגִיל בַּיהוָה תָּשִׂישׂ בִּישׁוּעָתֽוֹ׃ venafshi tagil bayhvah tasis bishuatoAnd my soul shall be joyful in HaShem; it shall rejoice in His salvation. י10 כָּל עַצְמוֹתַי ׀ תֹּאמַרְנָה יְיָ מִי כָמוֹךָ מַצִּיל עָנִי מֵחָזָק מִמֶּנּוּ וְעָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן מִגֹּזְלֽוֹ׃ kal atzmotay ׀ tomarnah Adonai mi khamokha matzil ani mechazak mimenu veani veevyon migozeloAll my bones shall say: 'HaShem, who is like unto Thee, who deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?' יא11 יְקוּמוּן עֵדֵי חָמָס אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יָדַעְתִּי יִשְׁאָלֽוּנִי׃ yekumun edei chamas asher lo-yadati yishaluniUnrighteous witnesses rise up; they ask me of things that I know not. יב12 יְשַׁלְּמוּנִי רָעָה תַּחַת טוֹבָה שְׁכוֹל לְנַפְשִֽׁי׃ yeshalmuni raah tachat tovah shekhol lenafshiThey repay me evil for good; bereavement is come to my soul. יג13 וַאֲנִי ׀ בַּחֲלוֹתָם לְבוּשִׁי שָׂק עִנֵּיתִי בַצּוֹם נַפְשִׁי וּתְפִלָּתִי עַל־חֵיקִי תָשֽׁוּב׃ vaani ׀ bachalotam levushi sak ineiti vatzom nafshi utfilati al-cheiki tashuvBut as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth, I afflicted my soul with fasting; and my prayer, may it return into mine own bosom. יד14 כְּרֵֽעַ־כְּאָח לִי הִתְהַלָּכְתִּי כַּאֲבֶל־אֵם קֹדֵר שַׁחֽוֹתִי׃ kerea-keach li hithalakheti kaavel-em koder shachotiI went about as though it had been my friend or my brother; I bowed down mournful, as one that mourneth for his mother. טו15 וּבְצַלְעִי שָׂמְחוּ וְֽנֶאֱסָפוּ נֶאֶסְפוּ עָלַי נֵכִים וְלֹא יָדַעְתִּי קָֽרְעוּ וְלֹא־דָֽמּוּ׃ uvtzali samchu veneesafu neesfu alay nekhim velo yadati karu velo-damuBut when I halt they rejoice, and gather themselves together; the abjects gather themselves together against me, and those whom I know not; they tear me, and cease not; טז16 בְּחַנְפֵי לַעֲגֵי מָעוֹג חָרֹק עָלַי שִׁנֵּֽימוֹ׃ bechanfei laagei maog charok alay shineimoWith the profanest mockeries of backbiting they gnash at me with their teeth. יז17 אֲדֹנָי כַּמָּה תִּרְאֶה הָשִׁיבָה נַפְשִׁי מִשֹּׁאֵיהֶם מִכְּפִירִים יְחִידָתִֽי׃ Adonai kamah tireeh hashivah nafshi mishoeihem mikfirim yechidatiL-rd, how long wilt Thou look on? Rescue my soul from their destructions, mine only one from the lions. יח18 אוֹדְךָ בְּקָהָל רָב בְּעַם עָצוּם אֲהַֽלְלֶֽךָּ׃ odkha bekahal rav beam atzum ahallekaI will give Thee thanks in the great congregation; I will praise Thee among a numerous people. יט19 אַֽל־יִשְׂמְחוּ־לִי אֹיְבַי שֶׁקֶר שֹׂנְאַי חִנָּם יִקְרְצוּ־עָֽיִן׃ al-yismchu-li oyvay sheker sonay chinam yikrtzu-ayinLet not them that are wrongfully mine enemies rejoice over me; neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause. כ20 כִּי לֹא שָׁלוֹם יְדַבֵּרוּ וְעַל רִגְעֵי־אֶרֶץ דִּבְרֵי מִרְמוֹת יַחֲשֹׁבֽוּן׃ ki lo shalom yedaberu veal rigei-eretz diverei mirmot yachashovunFor they speak not peace; but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land. כא21 וַיַּרְחִיבוּ עָלַי פִּיהֶם אָמְרוּ הֶאָח ׀ הֶאָח רָאֲתָה עֵינֵֽינוּ׃ vayarechivu alay pihem amru heach ׀ heach raatah eineinuYea, they open their mouth wide against me; they say: 'Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it.' כב22 רָאִיתָה יְיָ אַֽל־תֶּחֱרַשׁ אֲדֹנָי אֲל־תִּרְחַק מִמֶּֽנִּי׃ raitah Adonai al-techerash Adonai al-tirechak mimeniThou hast seen, O HaShem; keep not silence; O L-rd, be not far from me. כג23 הָעִירָה וְהָקִיצָה לְמִשְׁפָּטִי אֱלֹהַי וַֽאדֹנָי לְרִיבִֽי׃ hairah vehakitzah lemishpati elohay vadonay leriviRouse Thee, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my G-d and my L-rd. כד24 שָׁפְטֵנִי כְצִדְקְךָ יְיָ אֱלֹהָי וְאַל־יִשְׂמְחוּ־לִֽי׃ shafteni khetzidkkha Adonai elohay veal-yismchu-liJudge me, O HaShem my G-d, according to Thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me. כה25 אַל־יֹאמְרוּ בְלִבָּם הֶאָח נַפְשֵׁנוּ אַל־יֹאמְרוּ בִּֽלַּעֲנֽוּהוּ׃ al-yomru velibam heach nafshenu al-yomru bilaanuhuLet them not say in their heart: 'Aha, we have our desire'; let them not say: 'We have swallowed him up.' כו26 יֵבֹשׁוּ וְיַחְפְּרוּ ׀ יַחְדָּו שְׂמֵחֵי רָעָתִי יִֽלְבְּשׁוּ־בֹשֶׁת וּכְלִמָּה הַֽמַּגְדִּילִים עָלָֽי׃ yevoshu veyachpru ׀ yachdav semechei raati yilbshu-voshet ukhlimah hamagedilim alayLet them be ashamed and abashed together that rejoice at my hurt; let them be clothed with shame and confusion that magnify themselves against me. כז27 יָרֹנּוּ וְיִשְׂמְחוּ חֲפֵצֵי צִדְקִי וְיֹאמְרוּ תָמִיד יִגְדַּל יְיָ הֶחָפֵץ שְׁלוֹם עַבְדּֽוֹ׃ yaronu veyismchu chafetzei tzidki veyomru tamid yigdal Adonai hechafetz shelom avdoLet them shout for joy, and be glad, that delight in my righteousness; yea, let them say continually: 'Magnified be HaShem, who delighteth in the peace of His servant.' כח28 וּלְשׁוֹנִי תֶּהְגֶּה צִדְקֶךָ כָּל־הַיּוֹם תְּהִלָּתֶֽךָ׃ ulshoni tehegeh tzidkekha kal-hayom tehilatekhaAnd my tongue shall speak of Thy righteousness, and of Thy praise all the day.
