תהילים פרק י״ז · Psalm 17

א1 תְּפִלָּה לְדָוִד שִׁמְעָה יְיָ ׀ צֶדֶק הַקְשִׁיבָה רִנָּתִי הַאֲזִינָה תְפִלָּתִי בְּלֹא שִׂפְתֵי מִרְמָֽה׃ tefilah ledavid shimah Adonai ׀ tzedek hakshivah rinati haazinah tefilati belo siftei mirmahA Prayer of David. Hear the right, O HaShem, attend unto my cry; give ear unto my prayer from lips without deceit. ב2 מִלְּפָנֶיךָ מִשְׁפָּטִי יֵצֵא עֵינֶיךָ תֶּחֱזֶינָה מֵישָׁרִֽים׃ milfaneikha mishpati yetze eineikha techezeinah meisharimLet my judgment come forth from Thy presence; let Thine eyes behold equity. ג3 בָּחַנְתָּ לִבִּי ׀ פָּקַדְתָּ לַּיְלָה צְרַפְתַּנִי בַל־תִּמְצָא זַמֹּתִי בַּל־יַעֲבָר־פִּֽי׃ bachanta libi ׀ pakadta layelah tzeraftani val-timetza zamoti bal-yaavar-piThou hast tried my heart, Thou hast visited it in the night; Thou hast tested me, and Thou findest not that I had a thought which should not pass my mouth. ד4 לִפְעֻלּוֹת אָדָם בִּדְבַר שְׂפָתֶיךָ אֲנִי שָׁמַרְתִּי אָרְחוֹת פָּרִֽיץ׃ lifulot adam bidevar sefateikha ani shamarti archot paritzAs for the doings of men, by the word of Thy lips I have kept me from the ways of the violent. ה5 תָּמֹךְ אֲשֻׁרַי בְּמַעְגְּלוֹתֶיךָ בַּל־נָמוֹטּוּ פְעָמָֽי׃ tamokh ashuray bemagloteikha bal-namotu feamayMy steps have held fast to Thy paths, my feet have not slipped. ו6 אֲנִֽי־קְרָאתִיךָ כִֽי־תַעֲנֵנִי אֵל הַֽט־אָזְנְךָ לִי שְׁמַע אִמְרָתִֽי׃ ani-keratikha khi-taaneni el hat-aznkha li shema imratiAs for me, I call upon Thee, for Thou wilt answer me, O G-d; incline Thine ear unto me, hear my speech. ז7 הַפְלֵה חֲסָדֶיךָ מוֹשִׁיעַ חוֹסִים מִמִּתְקוֹמְמִים בִּֽימִינֶֽךָ׃ hafleh chasadeikha moshiya chosim mimitekommim biminekhaMake passing great Thy mercies, O Thou that savest by Thy right hand from assailants them that take refuge in Thee. ח8 שָׁמְרֵנִי כְּאִישׁוֹן בַּת־עָיִן בְּצֵל כְּנָפֶיךָ תַּסְתִּירֵֽנִי׃ shamreni keishon bat-ayin betzel kenafeikha tasetireniKeep me as the apple of the eye, hide me in the shadow of Thy wings, ט9 מִפְּנֵי רְשָׁעִים זוּ שַׁדּוּנִי אֹיְבַי בְּנֶפֶשׁ יַקִּיפוּ עָלָֽי׃ mipnei reshaim zu shaduni oyvay benefesh yakifu alayFrom the wicked that oppress, my deadly enemies, that compass me about. י10 חֶלְבָּמוֹ סָּגְרוּ פִּימוֹ דִּבְּרוּ בְגֵאֽוּת׃ chelbamo sageru pimo diberu vegeutTheir gross heart they have shut tight, with their mouth they speak proudly. יא11 אַשֻּׁרֵינוּ עַתָּה סבבוני עֵינֵיהֶם יָשִׁיתוּ לִנְטוֹת בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ ashureinu atah svvny eineihem yashitu lintot baaretzAt our every step they have now encompassed us; they set their eyes to cast us down to the earth. יב12 דִּמְיֹנוֹ כְּאַרְיֵה יִכְסוֹף לִטְרוֹף וְכִכְפִיר יֹשֵׁב בְּמִסְתָּרִֽים׃ dimeyono kearyeh yikhsof litrof vekhikhfir yoshev bemistarimHe is like a lion that is eager to tear in pieces, and like a young lion lurking in secret places. יג13 קוּמָה יְיָ קַדְּמָה פָנָיו הַכְרִיעֵהוּ פַּלְּטָה נַפְשִׁי מֵרָשָׁע חַרְבֶּֽךָ׃ kumah Adonai kadmah fanayv hakhriyehu paletah nafshi merasha charbekhaArise, O HaShem, confront him, cast him down; deliver my soul from the wicked, by Thy sword; יד14 מִֽמְתִים יָדְךָ ׀ יְיָ מִֽמְתִים מֵחֶלֶד חֶלְקָם בַּֽחַיִּים וצפינך תְּמַלֵּא בִטְנָם יִשְׂבְּעוּ בָנִים וְהִנִּיחוּ יִתְרָם לְעוֹלְלֵיהֶֽם׃ mimtim yadkha ׀ Adonai mimtim mecheled chelkam bachayim vtzfynkh temale vitnam yisbu vanim vehinichu yitram leolleihemFrom men, by Thy hand, O HaShem, from men of the world, whose portion is in this life, and whose belly Thou fillest with Thy treasure; who have children in plenty, and leave their abundance to their babes. טו15 אֲנִי בְּצֶדֶק אֶחֱזֶה פָנֶיךָ אֶשְׂבְּעָה בְהָקִיץ תְּמוּנָתֶֽךָ׃ ani betzedek echezeh faneikha esbah vehakitz temunatekhaAs for me, I shall behold Thy face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with Thy likeness.
