א1 לַמְנַצֵּחַ לְדָוִד אָמַר נָבָל בְּלִבּוֹ אֵין אֱלֹהִים הִֽשְׁחִיתוּ הִֽתְעִיבוּ עֲלִילָה אֵין עֹֽשֵׂה־טֽוֹב׃ lamnatzecha ledavid amar naval belibo ein Elohim hishchitu hitivu alilah ein oseh-tovFor the Leader. A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart: 'There is no G-d'; they have dealt corruptly, they have done abominably; there is none that doeth good. ב2 יְֽהוָה מִשָּׁמַיִם הִשְׁקִיף עַֽל־בְּנֵי־אָדָם לִרְאוֹת הֲיֵשׁ מַשְׂכִּיל דֹּרֵשׁ אֶת־אֱלֹהִֽים׃ Adonai mishamayim hishkif al-benei-adam lirot hayesh maskil doresh et-elohimHaShem looked forth from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any man of understanding, that did seek after G-d. ג3 הַכֹּל סָר יַחְדָּו נֶאֱלָחוּ אֵין עֹֽשֵׂה־טוֹב אֵין גַּם־אֶחָֽד׃ hakol sar yachdav neelachu ein oseh-tov ein gam-echadThey are all corrupt, they are together become impure; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. ד4 הֲלֹא יָדְעוּ כָּל־פֹּעֲלֵי אָוֶן אֹכְלֵי עַמִּי אָכְלוּ לֶחֶם יְיָ לֹא קָרָֽאוּ׃ halo yadu kal-poalei aven okhlei ami akhlu lechem Adonai lo karau'Shall not all the workers of iniquity know it, who eat up My people as they eat bread, and call not upon HaShem?' ה5 שָׁם ׀ פָּחֲדוּ פָחַד כִּֽי־אֱלֹהִים בְּדוֹר צַדִּֽיק׃ sham ׀ pachadu fachad ki-Elohim bedor tzadikThere are they in great fear; for G-d is with the righteous generation. ו6 עֲצַת־עָנִי תָבִישׁוּ כִּי יְיָ מַחְסֵֽהוּ׃ atzat-ani tavishu ki Adonai machsehuYe would put to shame the counsel of the poor, but HaShem is his refuge. ז7 מִי יִתֵּן מִצִּיּוֹן יְשׁוּעַת יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּשׁוּב יְיָ שְׁבוּת עַמּוֹ יָגֵל יַעֲקֹב יִשְׂמַח יִשְׂרָֽאֵל׃ mi yiten mitziyon yeshuat yisrael beshuv Adonai shevut amo yagel yaakov yismach yisraelOh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When HaShem turneth the captivity of His people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.
