א1 הַלְלוּ יָהּ ׀ הַֽלְלוּ אֶת־שֵׁם יְיָ הַֽלְלוּ עַבְדֵי יְהוָֽה׃ hallu yah ׀ hallu et-shem Adonai hallu avdei AdonaiHallelujah. Praise ye the name of HaShem; give praise, O ye servants of HaShem, ב2 שֶׁעֹֽמְדִים בְּבֵית יְיָ בְּחַצְרוֹת בֵּית אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ sheomdim beveit Adonai bechatzrot beit eloheinuYe that stand in the house of HaShem, in the courts of the house of our G-d. ג3 הַֽלְלוּ־יָהּ כִּי־טוֹב יְיָ זַמְּרוּ לִשְׁמוֹ כִּי נָעִֽים׃ hallu-yah ki-tov Adonai zamru lishmo ki naimPraise ye HaShem, for HaShem is good; sing praises unto His name, for it is pleasant. ד4 כִּֽי־יַעֲקֹב בָּחַר לוֹ יָהּ יִשְׂרָאֵל לִסְגֻלָּתֽוֹ׃ ki-yaakov bachar lo yah yisrael lisgulatoFor HaShem hath chosen Jacob unto Himself, and Israel for His own treasure. ה5 כִּי אֲנִי יָדַעְתִּי כִּי־גָדוֹל יְיָ וַאֲדֹנֵינוּ מִכָּל־אֱלֹהִֽים׃ ki ani yadati ki-gadol Adonai vaadoneinu mikal-elohimFor I know that HaShem is great, and that our L-rd is above all gods. ו6 כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־חָפֵץ יְיָ עָשָׂה בַּשָּׁמַיִם וּבָאָרֶץ בַּיַּמִּים וְכָל־תְּהוֹמֽוֹת׃ kol asher-chafetz Adonai asah bashamayim uvaaretz bayamim vekhal-tehomotWhatsoever HaShem pleased, that hath He done, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps; ז7 מַֽעֲלֶה נְשִׂאִים מִקְצֵה הָאָרֶץ בְּרָקִים לַמָּטָר עָשָׂה מֽוֹצֵא־רוּחַ מֵאֽוֹצְרוֹתָֽיו׃ maaleh nesiim miktzeh haaretz berakim lamatar asah motze-rucha meotzrotayvWho causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; He maketh lightnings for the rain; He bringeth forth the wind out of His treasuries. ח8 שֶֽׁהִכָּה בְּכוֹרֵי מִצְרָיִם מֵאָדָם עַד־בְּהֵמָֽה׃ shehikah bekhorei mitzrayim meadam ad-behemahWho smote the first-born of Egypt, both of man and beast. ט9 שָׁלַח ׀ אֹתוֹת וּמֹפְתִים בְּתוֹכֵכִי מִצְרָיִם בְּפַרְעֹה וּבְכָל־עֲבָדָֽיו׃ shalach ׀ otot umoftim betokhekhi mitzrayim befaroh uvkhal-avadayvHe sent signs and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants. י10 שֶֽׁהִכָּה גּוֹיִם רַבִּים וְהָרַג מְלָכִים עֲצוּמִֽים׃ shehikah goyim rabim veharag melakhim atzumimWho smote many nations, and slew mighty kings: יא11 לְסִיחוֹן ׀ מֶלֶךְ הָאֱמֹרִי וּלְעוֹג מֶלֶךְ הַבָּשָׁן וּלְכֹל מַמְלְכוֹת כְּנָֽעַן׃ lesichon ׀ melekh haemori ulog melekh habashan ulkhol mamlkhot kenaanSihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan; יב12 וְנָתַן אַרְצָם נַחֲלָה נַחֲלָה לְיִשְׂרָאֵל עַמּֽוֹ׃ venatan artzam nachalah nachalah leyisrael amoAnd gave their land for a heritage, a heritage unto Israel His people. יג13 יְיָ שִׁמְךָ לְעוֹלָם יְיָ זִכְרְךָ לְדֹר־וָדֹֽר׃ Adonai shimkha leolam Adonai zikhrkha ledor-vadorO HaShem, Thy name endureth for ever; thy memorial, O HaShem, throughout all generations. יד14 כִּֽי־יָדִין יְיָ עַמּוֹ וְעַל־עֲבָדָיו יִתְנֶחָֽם׃ ki-yadin Adonai amo veal-avadayv yitnechamFor HaShem will judge His people, and repent Himself for His servants. טו15 עֲצַבֵּי הַגּוֹיִם כֶּסֶף וְזָהָב מַעֲשֵׂה יְדֵי אָדָֽם׃ atzabei hagoyim kesef vezahav maaseh yedei adamThe idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. טז16 פֶּֽה־לָהֶם וְלֹא יְדַבֵּרוּ עֵינַיִם לָהֶם וְלֹא יִרְאֽוּ׃ peh-lahem velo yedaberu einayim lahem velo yiruThey have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not; יז17 אָזְנַיִם לָהֶם וְלֹא יַאֲזִינוּ אַף אֵין־יֶשׁ־רוּחַ בְּפִיהֶֽם׃ aznayim lahem velo yaazinu af ein-yesh-rucha befihemThey have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths. יח18 כְּמוֹהֶם יִהְיוּ עֹשֵׂיהֶם כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־בֹּטֵחַ בָּהֶֽם׃ kemohem yihyu oseihem kol asher-botecha bahemThey that make them shall be like unto them; yea, every one that trusteth in them. יט19 בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל בָּרֲכוּ אֶת־יְיָ בֵּית אַהֲרֹן בָּרֲכוּ אֶת־יְהוָֽה׃ beit yisrael barakhu et-Adonai beit aharon barakhu et-AdonaiO house of Israel, bless ye HaShem; O house of Aaron, bless ye HaShem; כ20 בֵּית הַלֵּוִי בָּרֲכוּ אֶת־יְיָ יִֽרְאֵי יְיָ בָּרֲכוּ אֶת־יְהוָֽה׃ beit halevi barakhu et-Adonai yirei Adonai barakhu et-AdonaiO house of Levi, bless ye HaShem; ye that fear HaShem, bless ye HaShem. כא21 בָּרוּךְ יְיָ ׀ מִצִּיּוֹן שֹׁכֵן יְֽרוּשָׁלִָם הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃ barukh Adonai ׀ mitziyon shokhen yerushalaim hallu-yahBlessed be HaShem out of Zion, who dwelleth at Jerusalem. א1 הוֹדוּ לַיהוָה כִּי־טוֹב כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ hodu layhvah ki-tov ki leolam chasdoO give thanks unto HaShem, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever. ב2 הוֹדוּ לֵֽאלֹהֵי הָאֱלֹהִים כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ hodu lelohei haelohim ki leolam chasdoO give thanks unto the G-d of gods, for His mercy endureth for ever. ג3 הוֹדוּ לַאֲדֹנֵי הָאֲדֹנִים כִּי לְעֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ hodu laadonei haadonim ki leolam chasdoO give thanks unto the L-rd of lords, for His mercy endureth for ever. ד4 לְעֹשֵׂה נִפְלָאוֹת גְּדֹלוֹת לְבַדּוֹ כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ leoseh niflaot gedolot levado ki leolam chasdoTo Him who alone doeth great wonders, for His mercy endureth for ever. ה5 לְעֹשֵׂה הַשָּׁמַיִם בִּתְבוּנָה כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ leoseh hashamayim bitevunah ki leolam chasdoTo Him that by understanding made the heavens, for His mercy endureth for ever. ו6 לְרֹקַע הָאָרֶץ עַל־הַמָּיִם כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ leroka haaretz al-hamayim ki leolam chasdoTo Him that spread forth the earth above the waters, for His mercy endureth for ever. ז7 לְעֹשֵׂה אוֹרִים גְּדֹלִים כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ leoseh orim gedolim ki leolam chasdoTo Him that made great lights, for His mercy endureth for ever; ח8 אֶת־הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ לְמֶמְשֶׁלֶת בַּיּוֹם כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ et-hashemesh lememshelet bayom ki leolam chasdoThe sun to rule by day, for His mercy endureth for ever; ט9 אֶת־הַיָּרֵחַ וְכוֹכָבִים לְמֶמְשְׁלוֹת בַּלָּיְלָה כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ et-hayarecha vekhokhavim lememshlot balayelah ki leolam chasdoThe moon and stars to rule by night, for His mercy endureth for ever. י10 לְמַכֵּה מִצְרַיִם בִּבְכוֹרֵיהֶם כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ lemakeh mitzrayim bivekhoreihem ki leolam chasdoTo Him that smote Egypt in their first-born, for His mercy endureth for ever; יא11 וַיּוֹצֵא יִשְׂרָאֵל מִתּוֹכָם כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ vayotze yisrael mitokham ki leolam chasdoAnd brought out Israel from among them, for His mercy endureth for ever; יב12 בְּיָד חֲזָקָה וּבִזְרוֹעַ נְטוּיָה כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ beyad chazakah uvizroa netuyah ki leolam chasdoWith a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, for His mercy endureth for ever. יג13 לְגֹזֵר יַם־סוּף לִגְזָרִים כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ legozer yam-suf ligzarim ki leolam chasdoTo Him who divided the Red Sea in sunder, for His mercy endureth for ever; יד14 וְהֶעֱבִיר יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּתוֹכוֹ כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ veheevir yisrael betokho ki leolam chasdoAnd made Israel to pass through the midst of it, for His mercy endureth for ever; טו15 וְנִעֵר פַּרְעֹה וְחֵילוֹ בְיַם־סוּף כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ venier pareoh vecheilo veyam-suf ki leolam chasdoBut overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red Sea, for His mercy endureth for ever. טז16 לְמוֹלִיךְ עַמּוֹ בַּמִּדְבָּר כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ lemolikh amo bamidebar ki leolam chasdoTo Him that led His people through the wilderness, for His mercy endureth for ever. יז17 לְמַכֵּה מְלָכִים גְּדֹלִים כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ lemakeh melakhim gedolim ki leolam chasdoTo Him that smote great kings; for His mercy endureth for ever; יח18 וַֽיַּהֲרֹג מְלָכִים אַדִּירִים כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ vayaharog melakhim adirim ki leolam chasdoAnd slew mighty kings, for His mercy endureth for ever. יט19 לְסִיחוֹן מֶלֶךְ הָאֱמֹרִי כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ lesichon melekh haemori ki leolam chasdoSihon king of the Amorites, for His mercy endureth for ever; כ20 וּלְעוֹג מֶלֶךְ הַבָּשָׁן כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ ulog melekh habashan ki leolam chasdoAnd Og king of Bashan, for His mercy endureth for ever; כא21 וְנָתַן אַרְצָם לְנַחֲלָה כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ venatan artzam lenachalah ki leolam chasdoAnd gave their land for a heritage, for His mercy endureth for ever; כב22 נַחֲלָה לְיִשְׂרָאֵל עַבְדּוֹ כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ nachalah leyisrael avdo ki leolam chasdoEven a heritage unto Israel His servant, for His mercy endureth for ever. כג23 שֶׁבְּשִׁפְלֵנוּ זָכַר לָנוּ כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ shebshiflenu zakhar lanu ki leolam chasdoWho remembered us in our low estate, for His mercy endureth for ever; כד24 וַיִּפְרְקֵנוּ מִצָּרֵינוּ כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ vayiferkenu mitzareinu ki leolam chasdoAnd hath delivered us from our adversaries, for His mercy endureth for ever. כה25 נֹתֵן לֶחֶם לְכָל־בָּשָׂר כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ noten lechem lekhal-basar ki leolam chasdoWho giveth food to all flesh, for His mercy endureth for ever. כו26 הוֹדוּ לְאֵל הַשָּׁמָיִם כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ hodu leel hashamayim ki leolam chasdoO give thanks unto the G-d of heaven, for His mercy endureth for ever.

א1 עַל נַהֲרוֹת ׀ בָּבֶל שָׁם יָשַׁבְנוּ גַּם־בָּכִינוּ בְּזָכְרֵנוּ אֶת־צִיּֽוֹן׃ al naharot ׀ bavel sham yashavnu gam-bakhinu bezakhrenu et-tziyonBy the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. ב2 עַֽל־עֲרָבִים בְּתוֹכָהּ תָּלִינוּ כִּנֹּרוֹתֵֽינוּ׃ al-aravim betokhah talinu kinoroteinuUpon the willows in the midst thereof we hanged up our harps. ג3 כִּי שָׁם שְֽׁאֵלוּנוּ שׁוֹבֵינוּ דִּבְרֵי־שִׁיר וְתוֹלָלֵינוּ שִׂמְחָה שִׁירוּ לָנוּ מִשִּׁיר צִיּֽוֹן׃ ki sham sheelunu shoveinu diverei-shir vetolaleinu simchah shiru lanu mishir tziyonFor there they that led us captive asked of us words of song, and our tormentors asked of us mirth: 'Sing us one of the songs of Zion.' ד4 אֵיךְ נָשִׁיר אֶת־שִׁיר־יְיָ עַל אַדְמַת נֵכָֽר׃ eikh nashir et-shir-Adonai al admat nekharHow shall we sing HaShem'S song in a foreign land? ה5 אִֽם־אֶשְׁכָּחֵךְ יְֽרוּשָׁלִָם תִּשְׁכַּח יְמִינִֽי׃ im-eshkachekh yerushalaim tishekach yeminiIf I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. ו6 תִּדְבַּק־לְשׁוֹנִי ׀ לְחִכִּי אִם־לֹא אֶזְכְּרֵכִי אִם־לֹא אַעֲלֶה אֶת־יְרוּשָׁלִַם עַל רֹאשׁ שִׂמְחָתִֽי׃ tidebak-leshoni ׀ lechiki im-lo ezkrekhi im-lo aaleh et-yerushalaim al rosh simchatiLet my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth, if I remember thee not; if I set not Jerusalem above my chiefest joy. ז7 זְכֹר יְיָ ׀ לִבְנֵי אֱדוֹם אֵת יוֹם יְֽרוּשָׁלִָם הָאֹמְרִים עָרוּ ׀ עָרוּ עַד הַיְסוֹד בָּֽהּ׃ zekhor Adonai ׀ livnei edom et yom yerushalaim haomrim aru ׀ aru ad haysod bahRemember, O HaShem, against the children of Edom the day of Jerusalem; who said: 'Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof.' ח8 בַּת־בָּבֶל הַשְּׁדוּדָה אַשְׁרֵי שֶׁיְשַׁלֶּם־לָךְ אֶת־גְּמוּלֵךְ שֶׁגָּמַלְתְּ לָֽנוּ׃ bat-bavel hashdudah ashrei sheishalem-lakh et-gemulekh shegamalt lanuO daughter of Babylon, that art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that repayeth thee as thou hast served us. ט9 אַשְׁרֵי ׀ שֶׁיֹּאחֵז וְנִפֵּץ אֶֽת־עֹלָלַיִךְ אֶל־הַסָּֽלַע׃ ashrei ׀ sheyochez venipetz et-olalayikh el-hasalaHappy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the rock.

א1 לְדָוִד ׀ אוֹדְךָ בְכָל־לִבִּי נֶגֶד אֱלֹהִים אֲזַמְּרֶֽךָּ׃ ledavid ׀ odkha vekhal-libi neged Elohim azamrekaA Psalm of David. I will give Thee thanks with my whole heart, in the presence of the mighty will I sing praises unto Thee. ב2 אֶשְׁתַּחֲוֶה אֶל־הֵיכַל קָדְשְׁךָ וְאוֹדֶה אֶת־שְׁמֶךָ עַל־חַסְדְּךָ וְעַל־אֲמִתֶּךָ כִּֽי־הִגְדַּלְתָּ עַל־כָּל־שִׁמְךָ אִמְרָתֶֽךָ׃ eshtachaveh el-heikhal kadshkha veodeh et-shemekha al-chasdkha veal-amitekha ki-higdaleta al-kal-shimkha imratekhaI will bow down toward Thy holy temple, and give thanks unto Thy name for Thy mercy and for Thy truth; for Thou hast magnified Thy word above all Thy name. ג3 בְּיוֹם קָרָֽאתִי וַֽתַּעֲנֵנִי תַּרְהִבֵנִי בְנַפְשִׁי עֹֽז׃ beyom karati vataaneni tarehiveni venafshi ozIn the day that I called, Thou didst answer me; Thou didst encourage me in my soul with strength. ד4 יוֹדוּךָ יְיָ כָּל־מַלְכֵי־אָרֶץ כִּי שָׁמְעוּ אִמְרֵי־פִֽיךָ׃ yodukha Adonai kal-malkhei-aretz ki shamu imrei-fikhaAll the kings of the earth shall give Thee thanks, O HaShem, for they have heard the words of Thy mouth. ה5 וְיָשִׁירוּ בְּדַרְכֵי יְיָ כִּי גָדוֹל כְּבוֹד יְהוָֽה׃ veyashiru bedarkhei Adonai ki gadol kevod AdonaiYea, they shall sing of the ways of HaShem; for great is the glory of HaShem. ו6 כִּי־רָם יְיָ וְשָׁפָל יִרְאֶה וְגָבֹהַּ מִמֶּרְחָק יְיֵדָֽע׃ ki-ram Adonai veshafal yireh vegavoha mimerechak yeyedaFor though HaShem be high, yet regardeth He the lowly, and the haughty He knoweth from afar. ז7 אִם־אֵלֵךְ ׀ בְּקֶרֶב צָרָה תְּחַיֵּנִי עַל אַף אֹיְבַי תִּשְׁלַח יָדֶךָ וְתוֹשִׁיעֵנִי יְמִינֶֽךָ׃ im-elekh ׀ bekerev tzarah techayeni al af oyvay tishelach yadekha vetoshiyeni yeminekhaThough I walk in the midst of trouble, Thou quickenest me; Thou stretchest forth Thy hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and Thy right hand doth save me. ח8 יְיָ יִגְמֹר בַּעֲדִי יְיָ חַסְדְּךָ לְעוֹלָם מַעֲשֵׂי יָדֶיךָ אַל־תֶּֽרֶף׃ Adonai yigmor baadi Adonai chasdkha leolam maasei yadeikha al-terefHaShem will accomplish that which concerneth me; Thy mercy, O HaShem, endureth for ever; forsake not the work of Thine own hands.

O HaShem, Thou hast searched me, and known me. ב2 אַתָּה יָדַעְתָּ שִׁבְתִּי וְקוּמִי בַּנְתָּה לְרֵעִי מֵרָחֽוֹק׃ atah yadata shivti vekumi banetah lerei merachokThou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, Thou understandest my thought afar off. ג3 אָרְחִי וְרִבְעִי זֵרִיתָ וְֽכָל־דְּרָכַי הִסְכַּֽנְתָּה׃ archi verivi zerita vekhal-derakhay hiskanetahThou measurest my going about and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. ד4 כִּי אֵין מִלָּה בִּלְשׁוֹנִי הֵן יְיָ יָדַעְתָּ כֻלָּֽהּ׃ ki ein milah bileshoni hen Adonai yadata khulahFor there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O HaShem, Thou knowest it altogether. ה5 אָחוֹר וָקֶדֶם צַרְתָּנִי וַתָּשֶׁת עָלַי כַּפֶּֽכָה׃ achor vakedem tzartani vatashet alay kapekhahThou hast hemmed me in behind and before, and laid Thy hand upon me. ו6 פלאיה דַעַת מִמֶּנִּי נִשְׂגְּבָה לֹא־אוּכַֽל לָֽהּ׃ flyh daat mimeni nisgvah lo-ukhal lahSuch knowledge is too wonderful for me; too high, I cannot attain unto it. ז7 אָנָה אֵלֵךְ מֵרוּחֶךָ וְאָנָה מִפָּנֶיךָ אֶבְרָֽח׃ anah elekh meruchekha veanah mipaneikha evrachWhither shall I go from Thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from Thy presence? ח8 אִם־אֶסַּק שָׁמַיִם שָׁם אָתָּה וְאַצִּיעָה שְּׁאוֹל הִנֶּֽךָּ׃ im-esak shamayim sham atah veatziyah sheol hinekaIf I ascend up into heaven, Thou art there; if I make my bed in the nether-world, behold, Thou art there. ט9 אֶשָּׂא כַנְפֵי־שָׁחַר אֶשְׁכְּנָה בְּאַחֲרִית יָֽם׃ esa khanfei-shachar eshknah beacharit yamIf I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; י10 גַּם־שָׁם יָדְךָ תַנְחֵנִי וְֽתֹאחֲזֵנִי יְמִינֶֽךָ׃ gam-sham yadkha tancheni vetochazeni yeminekhaEven there would Thy hand lead me, and Thy right hand would hold me. יא11 וָאֹמַר אַךְ־חֹשֶׁךְ יְשׁוּפֵנִי וְלַיְלָה אוֹר בַּעֲדֵֽנִי׃ vaomar akh-choshekh yeshufeni velaylah or baadeniAnd if I say: 'Surely the darkness shall envelop me, and the light about me shall be night'; יב12 גַּם־חֹשֶׁךְ לֹֽא־יַחְשִׁיךְ מִמֶּךָ וְלַיְלָה כַּיּוֹם יָאִיר כַּחֲשֵׁיכָה כָּאוֹרָֽה׃ gam-choshekh lo-yachshikh mimekha velaylah kayom yair kachasheikhah kaorahEven the darkness is not too dark for Thee, but the night shineth as the day; the darkness is even as the light. יג13 כִּֽי־אַתָּה קָנִיתָ כִלְיֹתָי תְּסֻכֵּנִי בְּבֶטֶן אִמִּֽי׃ ki-atah kanita khilyotay tesukeni beveten imiFor Thou hast made my reins; Thou hast knit me together in my mother's womb. יד14 אֽוֹדְךָ עַל כִּי נוֹרָאוֹת נִפְלֵיתִי נִפְלָאִים מַעֲשֶׂיךָ וְנַפְשִׁי יֹדַעַת מְאֹֽד׃ odkha al ki noraot nifleiti niflaim maaseikha venafshi yodaat meodI will give thanks unto Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. טו15 לֹא־נִכְחַד עָצְמִי מִמֶּךָּ אֲשֶׁר־עֻשֵּׂיתִי בַסֵּתֶר רֻקַּמְתִּי בְּֽתַחְתִּיּוֹת אָֽרֶץ׃ lo-nikhchad atzmi mimeka asher-useiti vaseter rukameti betachtiyot aretzMy frame was not hidden from Thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. טז16 גָּלְמִי ׀ רָאוּ עֵינֶיךָ וְעַֽל־סִפְרְךָ כֻּלָּם יִכָּתֵבוּ יָמִים יֻצָּרוּ ולא אֶחָד בָּהֶֽם׃ galemi ׀ rau eineikha veal-sifrkha kulam yikatevu yamim yutzaru vl echad bahemThine eyes did see mine unformed substance, and in Thy book they were all written--even the days that were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. יז17 וְלִי מַה־יָּקְרוּ רֵעֶיךָ אֵל מֶה עָצְמוּ רָאשֵׁיהֶֽם׃ veli mah-yakeru reeikha el meh atzmu rasheihemHow weighty also are Thy thoughts unto me, O G-d! How great is the sum of them! יח18 אֶסְפְּרֵם מֵחוֹל יִרְבּוּן הֱקִיצֹתִי וְעוֹדִי עִמָּֽךְ׃ esprem mechol yirbun hekitzoti veodi imakheIf I would count them, they are more in number than the sand; were I to come to the end of them, I would still be with Thee. יט19 אִם־תִּקְטֹל אֱלוֹהַּ ׀ רָשָׁע וְאַנְשֵׁי דָמִים סוּרוּ מֶֽנִּי׃ im-tiketol eloha ׀ rasha veanshei damim suru meniIf Thou but wouldest slay the wicked, O G-d--depart from me therefore, ye men of blood; כ20 אֲשֶׁר יֹאמְרֻךָ לִמְזִמָּה נָשֻׂא לַשָּׁוְא עָרֶֽיךָ׃ asher yomrukha limzimah nasu lashave areikhaWho utter Thy name with wicked thought, they take it for falsehood, even Thine enemies-- כא21 הֲלֽוֹא־מְשַׂנְאֶיךָ יְיָ ׀ אֶשְׂנָא וּבִתְקוֹמְמֶיךָ אֶתְקוֹטָֽט׃ halo-mesaneikha Adonai ׀ esna uvitkommeikha etkotatDo not I hate them, O HaShem, that hate Thee? And do not I strive with those that rise up against Thee? כב22 תַּכְלִית שִׂנְאָה שְׂנֵאתִים לְאוֹיְבִים הָיוּ לִֽי׃ takhelit sinah senetim leoyvim hayu liI hate them with utmost hatred; I count them mine enemies. כג23 חָקְרֵנִי אֵל וְדַע לְבָבִי בְּחָנֵנִי וְדַע שַׂרְעַפָּֽי׃ chakreni el veda levavi bechaneni veda sarapaySearch me, O G-d, and know my heart, try me, and know my thoughts; כד24 וּרְאֵה אִם־דֶּֽרֶךְ־עֹצֶב בִּי וּנְחֵנִי בְּדֶרֶךְ עוֹלָֽם׃ ureh im-derekh-otzev bi uncheni bederekh olamAnd see if there be any way in me that is grievous, and lead me in the way everlasting.
