א1 לַמְנַצֵּחַ אַל־תַּשְׁחֵת לְדָוִד מִכְתָּם בִּשְׁלֹחַ שָׁאוּל וַֽיִּשְׁמְרוּ אֶת־הַבַּיִת לַהֲמִיתֽוֹ׃ lamnatzecha al-tashechet ledavid mikhtam bishelocha shaul vayishemru et-habayit lahamitoFor the Leader; Al-tashheth. A Psalm of David; Michtam; when Saul sent, and they watched the house to kill him. ב2 הַצִּילֵנִי מֵאֹיְבַי ׀ אֱלֹהָי מִּמִתְקוֹמְמַי תְּשַׂגְּבֵֽנִי׃ hatzileni meoyvay ׀ elohay mimitkommay tesagveniDeliver me from mine enemies, O my G-d; set me on high from them that rise up against me. ג3 הַצִּילֵנִי מִפֹּעֲלֵי אָוֶן וּֽמֵאַנְשֵׁי דָמִים הוֹשִׁיעֵֽנִי׃ hatzileni mipoalei aven umeanshei damim hoshiyeniDeliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from the men of blood. ד4 כִּי הִנֵּה אָֽרְבוּ לְנַפְשִׁי יָגוּרוּ עָלַי עַזִים לֹא־פִשְׁעִי וְלֹא־חַטָּאתִי יְהוָֽה׃ ki hineh arvu lenafshi yaguru alay azim lo-fishi velo-chatati AdonaiFor, lo, they lie in wait for my soul; the impudent gather themselves together against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O HaShem. ה5 בְּֽלִי־עָוֺן יְרוּצוּן וְיִכּוֹנָנוּ עוּרָה לִקְרָאתִי וּרְאֵה׃ beli-aon yerutzun veyikonanu urah likrati urehWithout my fault, they run and prepare themselves; awake Thou to help me, and behold. ו6 וְאַתָּה יְהוָֽה־אֱלֹהִים ׀ צְבָאוֹת אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל הָקִיצָה לִפְקֹד כָּֽל־הַגּוֹיִם אַל־תָּחֹן כָּל־בֹּגְדֵי אָוֶן סֶֽלָה׃ veatah Adonai-Elohim ׀ tzevaot Elohei yisrael hakitzah lifkod kal-hagoyim al-tachon kal-bogedei aven selahThou therefore, O HaShem G-d of hosts, the G-d of Israel, arouse Thyself to punish all the nations; show no mercy to any iniquitous traitors. Selah ז7 יָשׁוּבוּ לָעֶרֶב יֶהֱמוּ כַכָּלֶב וִיסוֹבְבוּ עִֽיר׃ yashuvu laerev yehemu khakalev visovvu irThey return at evening, they howl like a dog, and go round about the city. ח8 הִנֵּה ׀ יַבִּיעוּן בְּפִיהֶם חֲרָבוֹת בְּשִׂפְתוֹתֵיהֶם כִּי־מִי שֹׁמֵֽעַ׃ hineh ׀ yabiyun befihem charavot besiftoteihem ki-mi shomeaBehold, they belch out with their mouth; swords are in their lips: 'For who doth hear?' ט9 וְאַתָּה יְיָ תִּשְׂחַק־לָמוֹ תִּלְעַג לְכָל־גּוֹיִֽם׃ veatah Adonai tisechak-lamo tileag lekhal-goyimBut Thou, O HaShem, shalt laugh at them; Thou shalt have all the nations in derision. י10 עֻזּוֹ אֵלֶיךָ אֶשְׁמֹרָה כִּֽי־אֱלֹהִים מִשְׂגַּבִּֽי׃ uzo eleikha eshmorah ki-Elohim misgabiBecause of his strength, I will wait for Thee; for G-d is my high tower. יא11 אֱלֹהֵי חסדו יְקַדְּמֵנִי אֱלֹהִים יַרְאֵנִי בְשֹׁרְרָֽי׃ Elohei chsdv yekadmeni Elohim yareni veshorrayThe G-d of my mercy will come to meet me; G-d will let me gaze upon mine adversaries. יב12 אַל־תַּהַרְגֵם ׀ פֶּֽן־יִשְׁכְּחוּ עַמִּי הֲנִיעֵמוֹ בְחֵילְךָ וְהוֹרִידֵמוֹ מָֽגִנֵּנוּ אֲדֹנָֽי׃ al-tahargem ׀ pen-yishkchu ami haniyemo vecheilkha vehoridemo maginenu adonaySlay them not, lest my people forget, make them wander to and fro by Thy power, and bring them down, O L-rd our shield. יג13 חַטַּאת־פִּימוֹ דְּֽבַר־שְׂפָתֵימוֹ וְיִלָּכְדוּ בִגְאוֹנָם וּמֵאָלָה וּמִכַּחַשׁ יְסַפֵּֽרוּ׃ chatat-pimo devar-sefateimo veyilakhedu vigonam umealah umikachash yesaperuFor the sin of their mouth, and the words of their lips, let them even be taken in their pride, and for cursing and lying which they speak. יד14 כַּלֵּה בְחֵמָה כַּלֵּה וְֽאֵינֵמוֹ וְֽיֵדְעוּ כִּֽי־אֱלֹהִים מֹשֵׁל בְּיַעֲקֹב לְאַפְסֵי הָאָרֶץ סֶֽלָה׃ kaleh vechemah kaleh veeinemo veyedu ki-Elohim moshel beyaakov leafsei haaretz selahConsume them in wrath, consume them, that they be no more; and let them know that G-d ruleth in Jacob, unto the ends of the earth. Selah טו15 וְיָשׁוּבוּ לָעֶרֶב יֶהֱמוּ כַכָּלֶב וִיסוֹבְבוּ עִֽיר׃ veyashuvu laerev yehemu khakalev visovvu irAnd they return at evening, they howl like a dog, and go round about the city; טז16 הֵמָּה ינועון לֶאֱכֹל אִם־לֹא יִשְׂבְּעוּ וַיָּלִֽינוּ׃ hemah ynvvn leekhol im-lo yisbu vayalinuThey wander up and down to devour, and tarry all night if they have not their fill. יז17 וַאֲנִי ׀ אָשִׁיר עֻזֶּךָ וַאֲרַנֵּן לַבֹּקֶר חַסְדֶּךָ כִּֽי־הָיִיתָ מִשְׂגָּב לִי וּמָנוֹס בְּיוֹם צַר־לִֽי׃ vaani ׀ ashir uzekha vaaranen laboker chasdekha ki-hayita misgav li umanos beyom tzar-liBut as for me, I will sing of Thy strength; yea, I will sing aloud of Thy mercy in the morning; for Thou hast been my high tower, and a refuge in the day of my distress. יח18 עֻזִּי אֵלֶיךָ אֲזַמֵּרָה כִּֽי־אֱלֹהִים מִשְׂגַּבִּי אֱלֹהֵי חַסְדִּֽי׃ uzi eleikha azamerah ki-Elohim misgabi Elohei chasdiO my strength, unto Thee will I sing praises; for G-d is my high tower, the G-d of my mercy.
