א1 לַמְנַצֵּחַ בִּנְגִינֹת מִזְמוֹר לְאָסָף שִֽׁיר׃ lamnatzecha bineginot mizmor leasaf shirFor the Leader; with string-music. A Psalm of Asaph, a Song. ב2 נוֹדָע בִּֽיהוּדָה אֱלֹהִים בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל גָּדוֹל שְׁמֽוֹ׃ noda bihudah Elohim beyisrael gadol shemoIn Judah is G-d known; His name is great in Israel. ג3 וַיְהִי בְשָׁלֵם סֻכּוֹ וּמְעוֹנָתוֹ בְצִיּֽוֹן׃ vayhi veshalem suko umonato vetziyonIn Salem also is set His tabernacle, and His dwelling-place in Zion. ד4 שָׁמָּה שִׁבַּר רִשְׁפֵי־קָשֶׁת מָגֵן וְחֶרֶב וּמִלְחָמָה סֶֽלָה׃ shamah shibar rishfei-kashet magen vecherev umilchamah selahThere He broke the fiery shafts of the bow; the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah ה5 נָאוֹר אַתָּה אַדִּיר מֵֽהַרְרֵי־טָֽרֶף׃ naor atah adir meharrei-tarefGlorious art Thou and excellent, coming down from the mountains of prey. ו6 אֶשְׁתּוֹלְלוּ ׀ אַבִּירֵי לֵב נָמוּ שְׁנָתָם וְלֹא־מָצְאוּ כָל־אַנְשֵׁי־חַיִל יְדֵיהֶֽם׃ eshtollu ׀ abirei lev namu shenatam velo-matzu khal-anshei-chayil yedeihemThe stout-hearted are bereft of sense, they sleep their sleep; and none of the men of might have found their hands. ז7 מִגַּעֲרָתְךָ אֱלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב נִרְדָּם וְרֶכֶב וָסֽוּס׃ migaaratkha Elohei yaakov nirdam verekhev vasusAt Thy rebuke, O G-d of Jacob, they are cast into a dead sleep, the riders also and the horses. ח8 אַתָּה ׀ נוֹרָא אַתָּה וּמִֽי־יַעֲמֹד לְפָנֶיךָ מֵאָז אַפֶּֽךָ׃ atah ׀ nora atah umi-yaamod lefaneikha meaz apekhaThou, even Thou, art terrible; and who may stand in Thy sight when once Thou art angry? ט9 מִשָּׁמַיִם הִשְׁמַעְתָּ דִּין אֶרֶץ יָֽרְאָה וְשָׁקָֽטָה׃ mishamayim hishmata din eretz yarah veshakatahThou didst cause sentence to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still, י10 בְּקוּם־לַמִּשְׁפָּט אֱלֹהִים לְהוֹשִׁיעַ כָּל־עַנְוֵי־אֶרֶץ סֶֽלָה׃ bekum-lamishepat Elohim lehoshiya kal-anvei-eretz selahWhen G-d arose to judgment, to save all the humble of the earth. Selah יא11 כִּֽי־חֲמַת אָדָם תּוֹדֶךָּ שְׁאֵרִית חֵמֹת תַּחְגֹּֽר׃ ki-chamat adam todeka sheerit chemot tachegorSurely the wrath of man shall praise Thee; the residue of wrath shalt Thou gird upon Thee. יב12 נִֽדֲרוּ וְשַׁלְּמוּ לַיהוָה אֱֽלֹהֵיכֶם כָּל־סְבִיבָיו יוֹבִילוּ שַׁי לַמּוֹרָֽא׃ nidaru veshalmu layhvah eloheikhem kal-sevivayv yovilu shay lamoraVow, and pay unto HaShem your G-d; let all that are round about Him bring presents unto Him that is to be feared; יג13 יִבְצֹר רוּחַ נְגִידִים נוֹרָא לְמַלְכֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃ yivtzor rucha negidim nora lemalkhei-aretzHe minisheth the spirit of princes; He is terrible to the kings of the earth.
