א1 תְּפִלָּה לְמֹשֶׁה אִֽישׁ־הָאֱלֹהִים אֲֽדֹנָי מָעוֹן אַתָּה הָיִיתָ לָּנוּ בְּדֹר וָדֹֽר׃ tefilah lemosheh ish-haelohim adonay maon atah hayita lanu bedor vadorA Prayer of Moses the man of G-d. L-rd, Thou hast been our dwelling-place in all generations. ב2 בְּטֶרֶם ׀ הָרִים יֻלָּדוּ וַתְּחוֹלֵֽל אֶרֶץ וְתֵבֵל וּֽמֵעוֹלָם עַד־עוֹלָם אַתָּה אֵֽל׃ beterem ׀ harim yuladu vatcholel eretz vetevel umeolam ad-olam atah elBefore the mountains were brought forth, or ever Thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, Thou art G-d. ג3 תָּשֵׁב אֱנוֹשׁ עַד־דַּכָּא וַתֹּאמֶר שׁוּבוּ בְנֵי־אָדָֽם׃ tashev enosh ad-daka vatomer shuvu venei-adamThou turnest man to contrition; and sayest: 'Return, ye children of men.' ד4 כִּי אֶלֶף שָׁנִים בְּֽעֵינֶיךָ כְּיוֹם אֶתְמוֹל כִּי יַעֲבֹר וְאַשְׁמוּרָה בַלָּֽיְלָה׃ ki elef shanim beeineikha keyom etmol ki yaavor veashmurah valayelahFor a thousand years in Thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. ה5 זְרַמְתָּם שֵׁנָה יִהְיוּ בַּבֹּקֶר כֶּחָצִיר יַחֲלֹֽף׃ zeramtam shenah yihyu baboker kechatzir yachalofThou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep; in the morning they are like grass which groweth up. ו6 בַּבֹּקֶר יָצִיץ וְחָלָף לָעֶרֶב יְמוֹלֵל וְיָבֵֽשׁ׃ baboker yatzitz vechalaf laerev yemolel veyaveshIn the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth. ז7 כִּֽי־כָלִינוּ בְאַפֶּךָ וּֽבַחֲמָתְךָ נִבְהָֽלְנוּ׃ ki-khalinu veapekha uvachamatkha nivhalnuFor we are consumed in Thine anger, and by Thy wrath are we hurried away. ח8 שת עֲוֺנֹתֵינוּ לְנֶגְדֶּךָ עֲלֻמֵנוּ לִמְאוֹר פָּנֶֽיךָ׃ sht aonoteinu lenegdekha alumenu limor paneikhaThou hast set our iniquities before Thee, our secret sins in the light of Thy countenance. ט9 כִּי כָל־יָמֵינוּ פָּנוּ בְעֶבְרָתֶךָ כִּלִּינוּ שָׁנֵינוּ כְמוֹ־הֶֽגֶה׃ ki khal-yameinu panu veevratekha kilinu shaneinu khemo-hegehFor all our days are passed away in Thy wrath; we bring our years to an end as a tale that is told. י10 יְמֵֽי־שְׁנוֹתֵינוּ בָהֶם שִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה וְאִם בִּגְבוּרֹת ׀ שְׁמוֹנִים שָׁנָה וְרָהְבָּם עָמָל וָאָוֶן כִּי־גָז חִישׁ וַנָּעֻֽפָה׃ yemei-shenoteinu vahem shivim shanah veim bigevurot ׀ shemonim shanah verahbam amal vaaven ki-gaz chish vanaufahThe days of our years are threescore years and ten, or even by reason of strength fourscore years; yet is their pride but travail and vanity; for it is speedily gone, and we fly away. יא11 מִֽי־יוֹדֵעַ עֹז אַפֶּךָ וּכְיִרְאָתְךָ עֶבְרָתֶֽךָ׃ mi-yodea oz apekha ukhyiratkha evratekhaWho knoweth the power of Thine anger, and Thy wrath according to the fear that is due unto Thee? יב12 לִמְנוֹת יָמֵינוּ כֵּן הוֹדַע וְנָבִא לְבַב חָכְמָֽה׃ limnot yameinu ken hoda venavi levav chakhmahSo teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom. יג13 שׁוּבָה יְיָ עַד־מָתָי וְהִנָּחֵם עַל־עֲבָדֶֽיךָ׃ shuvah Adonai ad-matay vehinachem al-avadeikhaReturn, O HaShem; how long? And let it repent Thee concerning Thy servants. יד14 שַׂבְּעֵנוּ בַבֹּקֶר חַסְדֶּךָ וּֽנְרַנְּנָה וְנִשְׂמְחָה בְּכָל־יָמֵֽינוּ׃ sabenu vaboker chasdekha unrannah venismchah bekhal-yameinuO satisfy us in the morning with Thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. טו15 שַׂמְּחֵנוּ כִּימוֹת עִנִּיתָנוּ שְׁנוֹת רָאִינוּ רָעָֽה׃ samchenu kimot initanu shenot rainu raahMake us glad according to the days wherein Thou hast afflicted us, according to the years wherein we have seen evil. טז16 יֵרָאֶה אֶל־עֲבָדֶיךָ פָעֳלֶךָ וַהֲדָרְךָ עַל־בְּנֵיהֶֽם׃ yeraeh el-avadeikha faolekha vahadarkha al-beneihemLet Thy work appear unto Thy servants, and Thy glory upon their children. יז17 וִיהִי ׀ נֹעַם אֲדֹנָי אֱלֹהֵינוּ עָלֵינוּ וּמַעֲשֵׂה יָדֵינוּ כּוֹנְנָה עָלֵינוּ וּֽמַעֲשֵׂה יָדֵינוּ כּוֹנְנֵֽהוּ׃ vihi ׀ noam Adonai eloheinu aleinu umaaseh yadeinu konnah aleinu umaaseh yadeinu konnehuAnd let the graciousness of the L-rd our G-d be upon us; establish Thou also upon us the work of our hands; yea, the work of our hands establish Thou it.

א1 יֹשֵׁב בְּסֵתֶר עֶלְיוֹן בְּצֵל שַׁדַּי יִתְלוֹנָֽן׃ yoshev beseter elyon betzel shaday yitlonanO thou that dwellest in the covert of the Most High, and abidest in the shadow of the Almighty; ב2 אֹמַר לַֽיהוָה מַחְסִי וּמְצוּדָתִי אֱלֹהַי אֶבְטַח־בּֽוֹ׃ omar layhvah machsi umtzudati elohay evtach-boI will say of HaShem, who is my refuge and my fortress, my G-d, in whom I trust, ג3 כִּי הוּא יַצִּֽילְךָ מִפַּח יָקוּשׁ מִדֶּבֶר הַוּֽוֹת׃ ki hu yatzilkha mipach yakush midever hauotThat He will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. ד4 בְּאֶבְרָתוֹ ׀ יָסֶךְ לָךְ וְתַֽחַת־כְּנָפָיו תֶּחְסֶה צִנָּה וְֽסֹחֵרָה אֲמִתּֽוֹ׃ beevrato ׀ yasekh lakh vetachat-kenafayv techeseh tzinah vesocherah amitoHe will cover thee with His pinions, and under His wings shalt thou take refuge; His truth is a shield and a buckler. ה5 לֹא־תִירָא מִפַּחַד לָיְלָה מֵחֵץ יָעוּף יוֹמָֽם׃ lo-tira mipachad laylah mechetz yauf yomamThou shalt not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flieth by day; ו6 מִדֶּבֶר בָּאֹפֶל יַהֲלֹךְ מִקֶּטֶב יָשׁוּד צָהֳרָֽיִם׃ midever baofel yahalokh miketev yashud tzahorayimOf the pestilence that walketh in darkness, nor of the destruction that wasteth at noonday. ז7 יִפֹּל מִצִּדְּךָ ׀ אֶלֶף וּרְבָבָה מִימִינֶךָ אֵלֶיךָ לֹא יִגָּֽשׁ׃ yipol mitzidekha ׀ elef urvavah miminekha eleikha lo yigashA thousand may fall at Thy side, and ten thousand at Thy right hand; it shall not come nigh thee. ח8 רַק בְּעֵינֶיךָ תַבִּיט וְשִׁלֻּמַת רְשָׁעִים תִּרְאֶֽה׃ rak beeineikha tabit veshilumat reshaim tireehOnly with thine eyes shalt thou behold, and see the recompense of the wicked. ט9 כִּֽי־אַתָּה יְיָ מַחְסִי עֶלְיוֹן שַׂמְתָּ מְעוֹנֶֽךָ׃ ki-atah Adonai machsi elyon samta meonekhaFor thou hast made HaShem who is my refuge, even the Most High, thy habitation. י10 לֹֽא־תְאֻנֶּה אֵלֶיךָ רָעָה וְנֶגַע לֹא־יִקְרַב בְּאָהֳלֶֽךָ׃ lo-teuneh eleikha raah venega lo-yikrav beaholekhaThere shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent. יא11 כִּי מַלְאָכָיו יְצַוֶּה־לָּךְ לִשְׁמָרְךָ בְּכָל־דְּרָכֶֽיךָ׃ ki malakhayv yetzaveh-lakhe lishmarkha bekhal-derakheikhaFor He will give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. יב12 עַל־כַּפַּיִם יִשָּׂאוּנְךָ פֶּן־תִּגֹּף בָּאֶבֶן רַגְלֶֽךָ׃ al-kapayim yisaunkha pen-tigof baeven raglekhaThey shall bear thee upon their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. יג13 עַל־שַׁחַל וָפֶתֶן תִּדְרֹךְ תִּרְמֹס כְּפִיר וְתַנִּֽין׃ al-shachal vafeten tiderokh tiremos kefir vetaninThou shalt tread upon the lion and asp; the young lion and the serpent shalt thou trample under feet. יד14 כִּי בִי חָשַׁק וַאֲפַלְּטֵהוּ אֲשַׂגְּבֵהוּ כִּֽי־יָדַע שְׁמִֽי׃ ki vi chashak vaafaltehu asagvehu ki-yada shemi'Because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he hath known My name. טו15 יִקְרָאֵנִי ׀ וְֽאֶעֱנֵהוּ עִמּֽוֹ־אָנֹכִי בְצָרָה אֲחַלְּצֵהוּ וַֽאֲכַבְּדֵֽהוּ׃ yikraeni ׀ veenehu imo-anokhi vetzarah achaltzehu vaakhabdehuHe shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him, and bring him to honour. טז16 אֹרֶךְ יָמִים אַשְׂבִּיעֵהוּ וְאַרְאֵהוּ בִּֽישׁוּעָתִֽי׃ orekh yamim asbiyehu vearehu bishuatiWith long life will I satisfy him, and make Him to behold My salvation.'

For the sabbath day. ב2 טוֹב לְהֹדוֹת לַיהוָה וּלְזַמֵּר לְשִׁמְךָ עֶלְיֽוֹן׃ tov lehodot layhvah ulzamer leshimkha elyonIt is a good thing to give thanks unto HaShem, and to sing praises unto Thy name, O Most High; ג3 לְהַגִּיד בַּבֹּקֶר חַסְֽדֶּךָ וֶאֱמֽוּנָתְךָ בַּלֵּילֽוֹת׃ lehagid baboker chasdekha veemunatkha baleilotTo declare Thy lovingkindness in the morning, and Thy faithfulness in the night seasons, ד4 עֲֽלֵי־עָשׂוֹר וַעֲלֵי־נָבֶל עֲלֵי הִגָּיוֹן בְּכִנּֽוֹר׃ alei-asor vaalei-navel alei higayon bekhinorWith an instrument of ten strings, and with the psaltery; with a solemn sound upon the harp. ה5 כִּי שִׂמַּחְתַּנִי יְיָ בְּפָעֳלֶךָ בְּֽמַעֲשֵׂי יָדֶיךָ אֲרַנֵּֽן׃ ki simachetani Adonai befaolekha bemaasei yadeikha aranenFor Thou, HaShem, hast made me glad through Thy work; I will exult in the works of Thy hands. ו6 מַה־גָּדְלוּ מַעֲשֶׂיךָ יְיָ מְאֹד עָמְקוּ מַחְשְׁבֹתֶֽיךָ׃ mah-gadelu maaseikha Adonai meod amku machshvoteikhaHow great are Thy works, O HaShem! Thy thoughts are very deep. ז7 אִֽישׁ־בַּעַר לֹא יֵדָע וּכְסִיל לֹא־יָבִין אֶת־זֹֽאת׃ ish-baar lo yeda ukhsil lo-yavin et-zotA brutish man knoweth not, neither doth a fool understand this. ח8 בִּפְרֹחַ רְשָׁעִים ׀ כְּמוֹ עֵשֶׂב וַיָּצִיצוּ כָּל־פֹּעֲלֵי אָוֶן לְהִשָּֽׁמְדָם עֲדֵי־עַֽד׃ biferocha reshaim ׀ kemo esev vayatzitzu kal-poalei aven lehishamedam adei-adWhen the wicked spring up as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they may be destroyed for ever. ט9 וְאַתָּה מָרוֹם לְעֹלָם יְהוָֽה׃ veatah marom leolam AdonaiBut Thou, O HaShem, art on high for evermore. י10 כִּי הִנֵּה אֹיְבֶיךָ ׀ יְֽהוָה כִּֽי־הִנֵּה אֹיְבֶיךָ יֹאבֵדוּ יִתְפָּרְדוּ כָּל־פֹּעֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃ ki hineh oyveikha ׀ Adonai ki-hineh oyveikha yovedu yitparedu kal-poalei avenFor, lo, Thine enemies, O HaShem, for, lo, Thine enemies shall perish: all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. יא11 וַתָּרֶם כִּרְאֵים קַרְנִי בַּלֹּתִי בְּשֶׁמֶן רַעֲנָֽן׃ vatarem kireeim karni baloti beshemen raananBut my horn hast Thou exalted like the horn of the wild-ox; I am anointed with rich oil. יב12 וַתַּבֵּט עֵינִי בְּשׁוּרָי בַּקָּמִים עָלַי מְרֵעִים תִּשְׁמַעְנָה אָזְנָֽי׃ vatabet eini beshuray bakamim alay mereim tishemanah aznayMine eye also hath gazed on them that lie in wait for me, mine ears have heard my desire of the evil-doers that rise up against me. יג13 צַדִּיק כַּתָּמָר יִפְרָח כְּאֶרֶז בַּלְּבָנוֹן יִשְׂגֶּֽה׃ tzadik katamar yifrach keerez balevanon yisgehThe righteous shall flourish like the palm-tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. יד14 שְׁתוּלִים בְּבֵית יְיָ בְּחַצְרוֹת אֱלֹהֵינוּ יַפְרִֽיחוּ׃ shetulim beveit Adonai bechatzrot eloheinu yafrichuPlanted in the house of HaShem, they shall flourish in the courts of our G-d. טו15 עוֹד יְנוּבוּן בְּשֵׂיבָה דְּשֵׁנִים וְרַֽעֲנַנִּים יִהְיֽוּ׃ od yenuvun beseivah deshenim veraananim yihyuThey shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and richness; טז16 לְהַגִּיד כִּֽי־יָשָׁר יְיָ צוּרִי וְֽלֹא־עלתה בּֽוֹ׃ lehagid ki-yashar Adonai tzuri velo-lth boTo declare that HaShem is upright, my Rock, in whom there is no unrighteousness.

א1 יְיָ מָלָךְ גֵּאוּת לָבֵשׁ לָבֵשׁ יְיָ עֹז הִתְאַזָּר אַף־תִּכּוֹן תֵּבֵל בַּל־תִּמּֽוֹט׃ Adonai malakh geut lavesh lavesh Adonai oz hitazar af-tikon tevel bal-timotHaShem reigneth; He is clothed in majesty; HaShem is clothed, He hath girded Himself with strength; yea, the world is established, that it cannot be moved. ב2 נָכוֹן כִּסְאֲךָ מֵאָז מֵֽעוֹלָם אָֽתָּה׃ nakhon kiseakha meaz meolam atahThy throne is established of old; Thou art from everlasting. ג3 נָשְׂאוּ נְהָרוֹת ׀ יְֽהוָה נָשְׂאוּ נְהָרוֹת קוֹלָם יִשְׂאוּ נְהָרוֹת דָּכְיָֽם׃ nasu neharot ׀ Adonai nasu neharot kolam yisu neharot dakheyamThe floods have lifted up, O HaShem, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their roaring. ד4 מִקֹּלוֹת ׀ מַיִם רַבִּים אַדִּירִים מִשְׁבְּרֵי־יָם אַדִּיר בַּמָּרוֹם יְהוָֽה׃ mikolot ׀ mayim rabim adirim mishbrei-yam adir bamarom AdonaiAbove the voices of many waters, the mighty breakers of the sea, HaShem on high is mighty. ה5 עֵֽדֹתֶיךָ ׀ נֶאֶמְנוּ מְאֹד לְבֵיתְךָ נַאֲוָה־קֹדֶשׁ יְיָ לְאֹרֶךְ יָמִֽים׃ edoteikha ׀ neemnu meod leveitkha naavah-kodesh Adonai leorekh yamimThy testimonies are very sure, holiness becometh Thy house, O HaShem, for evermore.

א1 אֵל־נְקָמוֹת יְיָ אֵל נְקָמוֹת הוֹפִֽיַע׃ el-nekamot Adonai el nekamot hofiyaO HaShem, Thou G-d to whom vengeance belongeth, Thou G-d to whom vengeance belongeth, shine forth. ב2 הִנָּשֵׂא שֹׁפֵט הָאָרֶץ הָשֵׁב גְּמוּל עַל־גֵּאִֽים׃ hinase shofet haaretz hashev gemul al-geimLift up Thyself, Thou Judge of the earth; render to the proud their recompense. ג3 עַד־מָתַי רְשָׁעִים ׀ יְיָ עַד־מָתַי רְשָׁעִים יַעֲלֹֽזוּ׃ ad-matay reshaim ׀ Adonai ad-matay reshaim yaalozuHaShem, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked exult? ד4 יַבִּיעוּ יְדַבְּרוּ עָתָק יִֽתְאַמְּרוּ כָּל־פֹּעֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃ yabiyu yedabru atak yitamru kal-poalei avenThey gush out, they speak arrogancy; all the workers of iniquity bear themselves loftily. ה5 עַמְּךָ יְיָ יְדַכְּאוּ וְֽנַחֲלָתְךָ יְעַנּֽוּ׃ amkha Adonai yedaku venachalatkha yeanuThey crush Thy people, O HaShem, and afflict Thy heritage. ו6 אַלְמָנָה וְגֵר יַהֲרֹגוּ וִֽיתוֹמִים יְרַצֵּֽחוּ׃ almanah veger yaharogu vitomim yeratzechuThey slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless. ז7 וַיֹּאמְרוּ לֹא יִרְאֶה־יָּהּ וְלֹא־יָבִין אֱלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹֽב׃ vayomru lo yireh-yah velo-yavin Elohei yaakovAnd they say: 'The HaShem will not see, neither will the G-d of Jacob give heed.' ח8 בִּינוּ בֹּעֲרִים בָּעָם וּכְסִילִים מָתַי תַּשְׂכִּֽילוּ׃ binu boarim baam ukhsilim matay tasekiluConsider, ye brutish among the people; and ye fools, when will ye understand? ט9 הֲנֹטַֽע אֹזֶן הֲלֹא יִשְׁמָע אִֽם־יֹצֵֽר עַיִן הֲלֹא יַבִּֽיט׃ hanota ozen halo yishma im-yotzer ayin halo yabitHe that planted the ear, shall He not hear? He that formed the eye, shall He not see? י10 הֲיֹסֵר גּוֹיִם הֲלֹא יוֹכִיחַ הַֽמְלַמֵּד אָדָם דָּֽעַת׃ hayoser goyim halo yokhicha hamlamed adam daatHe that instructeth nations, shall not He correct? even He that teacheth man knowledge? יא11 יְֽהוָה יֹדֵעַ מַחְשְׁבוֹת אָדָם כִּי־הֵמָּה הָֽבֶל׃ Adonai yodea machshvot adam ki-hemah havelHaShem knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity. יב12 אַשְׁרֵי ׀ הַגֶּבֶר אֲשֶׁר־תְּיַסְּרֶנּוּ יָּהּ וּֽמִתּוֹרָתְךָ תְלַמְּדֶֽנּוּ׃ ashrei ׀ hagever asher-teyasrenu yah umitoratkha telamdenuHappy is the man whom Thou instructest, O HaShem, and teachest out of Thy law; יג13 לְהַשְׁקִיט לוֹ מִימֵי רָע עַד יִכָּרֶה לָרָשָׁע שָֽׁחַת׃ lehashkit lo mimei ra ad yikareh larasha shachatThat Thou mayest give him rest from the days of evil, until the pit be digged for the wicked. יד14 כִּי ׀ לֹא־יִטֹּשׁ יְיָ עַמּוֹ וְנַחֲלָתוֹ לֹא יַעֲזֹֽב׃ ki ׀ lo-yitosh Adonai amo venachalato lo yaazovFor HaShem will not cast off His people, neither will He forsake His inheritance. טו15 כִּֽי־עַד־צֶדֶק יָשׁוּב מִשְׁפָּט וְאַחֲרָיו כָּל־יִשְׁרֵי־לֵֽב׃ ki-ad-tzedek yashuv mishpat veacharayv kal-yishrei-levFor right shall return unto justice, and all the upright in heart shall follow it. טז16 מִֽי־יָקוּם לִי עִם־מְרֵעִים מִֽי־יִתְיַצֵּב לִי עִם־פֹּעֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃ mi-yakum li im-mereim mi-yityatzev li im-poalei avenWho will rise up for me against the evil-doers? I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart. ג3 לֹֽא־אָשִׁית ׀ לְנֶגֶד עֵינַי דְּֽבַר־בְּלִיָּעַל עֲשֹֽׂה־סֵטִים שָׂנֵאתִי לֹא יִדְבַּק בִּֽי׃ lo-ashit ׀ leneged einay devar-beliyaal asoh-setim saneti lo yidbak biI will set no base thing before mine eyes; I hate the doing of things crooked; it shall not cleave unto me. ד4 לֵבָב עִקֵּשׁ יָסוּר מִמֶּנִּי רָע לֹא אֵדָֽע׃ levav ikesh yasur mimeni ra lo edaA perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil thing. ה5 מלושני בַסֵּתֶר ׀ רֵעֵהוּ אוֹתוֹ אַצְמִית גְּֽבַהּ־עֵינַיִם וּרְחַב לֵבָב אֹתוֹ לֹא אוּכָֽל׃ mlvshny vaseter ׀ reehu oto atzmit gevah-einayim urchav levav oto lo ukhalWhoso slandereth his neighbour in secret, him will I destroy; whoso is haughty of eye and proud of heart, him will I not suffer. ו6 עֵינַי ׀ בְּנֶֽאֶמְנֵי־אֶרֶץ לָשֶׁבֶת עִמָּדִי הֹלֵךְ בְּדֶרֶךְ תָּמִים הוּא יְשָׁרְתֵֽנִי׃ einay ׀ beneemnei-eretz lashevet imadi holekh bederekh tamim hu yesharteniMine eyes are upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he that walketh in a way of integrity, he shall minister unto me. ז7 לֹֽא־יֵשֵׁב ׀ בְּקֶרֶב בֵּיתִי עֹשֵׂה רְמִיָּה דֹּבֵר שְׁקָרִים לֹֽא־יִכּוֹן לְנֶגֶד עֵינָֽי׃ lo-yeshev ׀ bekerev beiti oseh remiyah dover shekarim lo-yikon leneged einayHe that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house; he that speaketh falsehood shall not be established before mine eyes. ח8 לַבְּקָרִים אַצְמִית כָּל־רִשְׁעֵי־אָרֶץ לְהַכְרִית מֵֽעִיר־יְיָ כָּל־פֹּעֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃ labkarim atzmit kal-rishei-aretz lehakhrit meir-Adonai kal-poalei avenMorning by morning will I destroy all the wicked of the land; to cut off all the workers of iniquity from the city of HaShem.

for I forget to eat my bread. ו6 מִקּוֹל אַנְחָתִי דָּבְקָה עַצְמִי לִבְשָׂרִֽי׃ mikol anchati davekah atzmi livsariBy reason of the voice of my sighing my bones cleave to my flesh. ז7 דָּמִיתִי לִקְאַת מִדְבָּר הָיִיתִי כְּכוֹס חֳרָבֽוֹת׃ damiti likat midbar hayiti kekhos choravotI am like a pelican of the wilderness; I am become as an owl of the waste places. ח8 שָׁקַדְתִּי וָאֶֽהְיֶה כְּצִפּוֹר בּוֹדֵד עַל־גָּֽג׃ shakadti vaehyeh ketzipor boded al-gagI watch, and am become like a sparrow that is alone upon the housetop. ט9 כָּל־הַיּוֹם חֵרְפוּנִי אוֹיְבָי מְהוֹלָלַי בִּי נִשְׁבָּֽעוּ׃ kal-hayom cherfuni oyvay meholalay bi nishbauMine enemies taunt me all the day; He shortened my days. כה25 אֹמַר אֵלִי אַֽל־תַּעֲלֵנִי בַּחֲצִי יָמָי בְּדוֹר דּוֹרִים שְׁנוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ omar eli al-taaleni bachatzi yamay bedor dorim shenoteikhaI say: 'O my G-d, take me not away in the midst of my days, Thou whose years endure throughout all generations. כו26 לְפָנִים הָאָרֶץ יָסַדְתָּ וּֽמַעֲשֵׂה יָדֶיךָ שָׁמָֽיִם׃ lefanim haaretz yasadta umaaseh yadeikha shamayimOf old Thou didst lay the foundation of the earth; O HaShem my G-d, Thou art very great; Thou art clothed with glory and majesty. ב2 עֹֽטֶה־אוֹר כַּשַּׂלְמָה נוֹטֶה שָׁמַיִם כַּיְרִיעָֽה׃ oteh-or kasalemah noteh shamayim kayeriyahWho coverest Thyself with light as with a garment, who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain; ג3 הַמְקָרֶֽה בַמַּיִם עֲֽלִיּוֹתָיו הַשָּׂם־עָבִים רְכוּבוֹ הַֽמְהַלֵּךְ עַל־כַּנְפֵי־רֽוּחַ׃ hamkareh vamayim aliyotayv hasam-avim rekhuvo hamhalekhe al-kanefei-ruchaWho layest the beams of Thine upper chambers in the waters, who makest the clouds Thy chariot, who walkest upon the wings of the wind; ד4 עֹשֶׂה מַלְאָכָיו רוּחוֹת מְשָׁרְתָיו אֵשׁ לֹהֵֽט׃ oseh malakhayv ruchot meshartayv esh lohetWho makest winds Thy messengers, the flaming fire Thy ministers. ה5 יָֽסַד־אֶרֶץ עַל־מְכוֹנֶיהָ בַּל־תִּמּוֹט עוֹלָם וָעֶֽד׃ yasad-eretz al-mekhoneiha bal-timot olam vaedWho didst establish the earth upon its foundations, that it should not be moved for ever and ever; ו6 תְּהוֹם כַּלְּבוּשׁ כִּסִּיתוֹ עַל־הָרִים יַֽעַמְדוּ־מָֽיִם׃ tehom kalevush kisito al-harim yaamdu-mayimThou didst cover it with the deep as with a vesture; the waters stood above the mountains. ז7 מִן־גַּעֲרָתְךָ יְנוּסוּן מִן־קוֹל רַֽעַמְךָ יֵחָפֵזֽוּן׃ min-gaaratkha yenusun min-kol raamkha yechafezunAt Thy rebuke they fled, at the voice of Thy thunder they hasted away-- ח8 יַעֲלוּ הָרִים יֵרְדוּ בְקָעוֹת אֶל־מְקוֹם זֶה ׀ יָסַדְתָּ לָהֶֽם׃ yaalu harim yerdu vekaot el-mekom zeh ׀ yasadta lahemThe mountains rose, the valleys sank down--unto the place which Thou hadst founded for them; ט9 גְּֽבוּל־שַׂמְתָּ בַּל־יַֽעֲבֹרוּן בַּל־יְשׁוּבוּן לְכַסּוֹת הָאָֽרֶץ׃ gevul-samta bal-yaavorun bal-yeshuvun lekhasot haaretzThou didst set a bound which they should not pass over, that they might not return to cover the earth. י10 הַֽמְשַׁלֵּחַ מַעְיָנִים בַּנְּחָלִים בֵּין הָרִים יְהַלֵּכֽוּן׃ hamshalecha mayanim banechalim bein harim yehalekhunWho sendest forth springs into the valleys; they run between the mountains; יא11 יַשְׁקוּ כָּל־חַיְתוֹ שָׂדָי יִשְׁבְּרוּ פְרָאִים צְמָאָֽם׃ yashku kal-chayto saday yishbru feraim tzemaamThey give drink to every beast of the field, the wild asses quench their thirst. יב12 עֲלֵיהֶם עוֹף־הַשָּׁמַיִם יִשְׁכּוֹן מִבֵּין עֳפָאיִם יִתְּנוּ־קֽוֹל׃ aleihem of-hashamayim yishkon mibein ofayim yitnu-kolBeside them dwell the fowl of the heaven, from among the branches they sing. יג13 מַשְׁקֶה הָרִים מֵעֲלִיּוֹתָיו מִפְּרִי מַעֲשֶׂיךָ תִּשְׂבַּע הָאָֽרֶץ׃ mashkeh harim mealiyotayv mipri maaseikha tiseba haaretzWho waterest the mountains from Thine upper chambers; the earth is full of the fruit of Thy works. יד14 מַצְמִיחַ חָצִיר ׀ לַבְּהֵמָה וְעֵשֶׂב לַעֲבֹדַת הָאָדָם לְהוֹצִיא לֶחֶם מִן־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ matzmicha chatzir ׀ labhemah veesev laavodat haadam lehotzi lechem min-haaretzWho causeth the grass to spring up for the cattle, and herb for the service of man; to bring forth bread out of the earth, טו15 וְיַיִן ׀ יְשַׂמַּח לְֽבַב־אֱנוֹשׁ לְהַצְהִיל פָּנִים מִשָּׁמֶן וְלֶחֶם לְֽבַב־אֱנוֹשׁ יִסְעָֽד׃ veyayin ׀ yesamach levav-enosh lehatzhil panim mishamen velechem levav-enosh yisadAnd wine that maketh glad the heart of man, making the face brighter than oil, and bread that stayeth man's heart. טז16 יִשְׂבְּעוּ עֲצֵי יְיָ אַֽרְזֵי לְבָנוֹן אֲשֶׁר נָטָֽע׃ yisbu atzei Adonai arzei levanon asher nataThe trees of HaShem have their fill, the cedars of Lebanon, which He hath planted; יז17 אֲשֶׁר־שָׁם צִפֳּרִים יְקַנֵּנוּ חֲסִידָה בְּרוֹשִׁים בֵּיתָֽהּ׃ asher-sham tziporim yekanenu chasidah beroshim beitahWherein the birds make their nests; as for the stork, the fir-trees are her house. יח18 הָרִים הַגְּבֹהִים לַיְּעֵלִים סְלָעִים מַחְסֶה לַֽשְׁפַנִּֽים׃ harim hagvohim layelim selaim machseh lashfanimThe high mountains are for the wild goats; the rocks are a refuge for the conies. יט19 עָשָׂה יָרֵחַ לְמוֹעֲדִים שֶׁמֶשׁ יָדַע מְבוֹאֽוֹ׃ asah yarecha lemoadim shemesh yada mevooWho appointedst the moon for seasons; the sun knoweth his going down. כ20 תָּֽשֶׁת־חֹשֶׁךְ וִיהִי לָיְלָה בּֽוֹ־תִרְמֹשׂ כָּל־חַיְתוֹ־יָֽעַר׃ tashet-choshekh vihi laylah bo-tirmos kal-chayto-yaarThou makest darkness, and it is night, wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth. כא21 הַכְּפִירִים שֹׁאֲגִים לַטָּרֶף וּלְבַקֵּשׁ מֵאֵל אָכְלָֽם׃ hakfirim shoagim lataref ulvakesh meel akhlamThe young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from G-d. כב22 תִּזְרַח הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ יֵאָסֵפוּן וְאֶל־מְעוֹנֹתָם יִרְבָּצֽוּן׃ tizerach hashemesh yeasefun veel-meonotam yirbatzunThe sun ariseth, they slink away, and couch in their dens. כג23 יֵצֵא אָדָם לְפָעֳלוֹ וְֽלַעֲבֹדָתוֹ עֲדֵי־עָֽרֶב׃ yetze adam lefaolo velaavodato adei-arevMan goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening. כד24 מָֽה־רַבּוּ מַעֲשֶׂיךָ ׀ יְֽהוָה כֻּלָּם בְּחָכְמָה עָשִׂיתָ מָלְאָה הָאָרֶץ קִנְיָנֶֽךָ׃ mah-rabu maaseikha ׀ Adonai kulam bechakhmah asita malah haaretz kinyanekhaHow manifold are Thy works, O HaShem! and they rebelled not against His word. כט29 הָפַךְ אֶת־מֵימֵיהֶם לְדָם וַיָּמֶת אֶת־דְּגָתָֽם׃ hafakh et-meimeihem ledam vayamet et-degatamHe turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish. ל30 שָׁרַץ אַרְצָם צְפַרְדְּעִים בְּחַדְרֵי מַלְכֵיהֶֽם׃ sharatz artzam tzefardim bechadrei malkheihemTheir land swarmed with frogs, in the chambers of their kings. לא31 אָמַר וַיָּבֹא עָרֹב כִּנִּים בְּכָל־גְּבוּלָֽם׃ amar vayavo arov kinim bekhal-gevulamHe spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats in all their borders. לב32 נָתַן גִּשְׁמֵיהֶם בָּרָד אֵשׁ לֶהָבוֹת בְּאַרְצָֽם׃ natan gishemeihem barad esh lehavot beartzamHe gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land. לג33 וַיַּךְ גַּפְנָם וּתְאֵנָתָם וַיְשַׁבֵּר עֵץ גְּבוּלָֽם׃ vayakhe gafenam utenatam vayshaber etz gevulamHe smote their vines also and their fig-trees; O give thanks unto HaShem; for He is good; for His mercy endureth for ever. ב2 מִי יְמַלֵּל גְּבוּרוֹת יְיָ יַשְׁמִיעַ כָּל־תְּהִלָּתֽוֹ׃ mi yemalel gevurot Adonai yashmiya kal-tehilatoWho can express the mighty acts of HaShem, or make all His praise to be heard? ג3 אַשְׁרֵי שֹׁמְרֵי מִשְׁפָּט עֹשֵׂה צְדָקָה בְכָל־עֵֽת׃ ashrei shomrei mishpat oseh tzedakah vekhal-etHappy are they that keep justice, that do righteousness at all times. ד4 זָכְרֵנִי יְיָ בִּרְצוֹן עַמֶּךָ פָּקְדֵנִי בִּישׁוּעָתֶֽךָ׃ zakhreni Adonai biretzon amekha pakedeni bishuatekhaRemember me, O HaShem, when Thou favourest Thy people; O think of me at Thy salvation; ה5 לִרְאוֹת ׀ בְּטוֹבַת בְּחִירֶיךָ לִשְׂמֹחַ בְּשִׂמְחַת גּוֹיֶךָ לְהִתְהַלֵּל עִם־נַחֲלָתֶֽךָ׃ lirot ׀ betovat bechireikha lismocha besimchat goyekha lehithalel im-nachalatekhaThat I may behold the prosperity of Thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of Thy nation, that I may glory with Thine inheritance. ו6 חָטָאנוּ עִם־אֲבוֹתֵינוּ הֶעֱוִינוּ הִרְשָֽׁעְנוּ׃ chatanu im-avoteinu heevinu hirshanuWe have sinned with our fathers, we have done iniquitously, we have dealt wickedly. ז7 אֲבוֹתֵינוּ בְמִצְרַיִם ׀ לֹא־הִשְׂכִּילוּ נִפְלְאוֹתֶיךָ לֹא זָכְרוּ אֶת־רֹב חֲסָדֶיךָ וַיַּמְרוּ עַל־יָם בְּיַם־סֽוּף׃ avoteinu vemitzrayim ׀ lo-hiskilu nifloteikha lo zakhru et-rov chasadeikha vayameru al-yam beyam-sufOur fathers in Egypt gave no heed unto Thy wonders; they remembered not the multitude of Thy mercies; but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea. ח8 וַֽיּוֹשִׁיעֵם לְמַעַן שְׁמוֹ לְהוֹדִיעַ אֶת־גְּבוּרָתֽוֹ׃ vayoshiyem lemaan shemo lehodiya et-gevuratoNevertheless He saved them for His name's sake, that He might make His mighty power to be known. ט9 וַיִּגְעַר בְּיַם־סוּף וַֽיֶּחֱרָב וַיּוֹלִיכֵם בַּתְּהֹמוֹת כַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃ vayigear beyam-suf vayecherav vayolikhem batehomot kamidebarAnd He rebuked the Red Sea, and it was dried up; and He led them through the depths, as through a wilderness. י10 וַֽיּוֹשִׁיעֵם מִיַּד שׂוֹנֵא וַיִּגְאָלֵם מִיַּד אוֹיֵֽב׃ vayoshiyem miyad sone vayigealem miyad oyevAnd He saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy. יא11 וַיְכַסּוּ־מַיִם צָרֵיהֶם אֶחָד מֵהֶם לֹא נוֹתָֽר׃ vaykhasu-mayim tzareihem echad mehem lo notarAnd the waters covered their adversaries; there was not one of them left. יב12 וַיַּאֲמִינוּ בִדְבָרָיו יָשִׁירוּ תְּהִלָּתֽוֹ׃ vayaaminu vidvarayv yashiru tehilatoThen believed they His words; they sang His praise. יג13 מִֽהֲרוּ שָׁכְחוּ מַעֲשָׂיו לֹֽא־חִכּוּ לַעֲצָתֽוֹ׃ miharu shakhchu maasayv lo-chiku laatzatoThey soon forgot His works; they waited not for His counsel; יד14 וַיִּתְאַוּוּ תַאֲוָה בַּמִּדְבָּר וַיְנַסּוּ־אֵל בִּֽישִׁימֽוֹן׃ vayiteauu taavah bamidebar vaynasu-el bishimonBut lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tried G-d in the desert. טו15 וַיִּתֵּן לָהֶם שֶׁאֱלָתָם וַיְשַׁלַּח רָזוֹן בְּנַפְשָֽׁם׃ vayiten lahem sheelatam vayshalach razon benafshamAnd He gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul. טז16 וַיְקַנְאוּ לְמֹשֶׁה בַּֽמַּחֲנֶה לְאַהֲרֹן קְדוֹשׁ יְהוָֽה׃ vaykanu lemosheh bamachaneh leaharon kedosh AdonaiThey were jealous also of Moses in the camp, and of Aaron the holy one of HaShem. יז17 תִּפְתַּח־אֶרֶץ וַתִּבְלַע דָּתָן וַתְּכַס עַל־עֲדַת אֲבִירָֽם׃ tifetach-eretz vativela datan vatkhas al-adat aviramThe earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram. יח18 וַתִּבְעַר־אֵשׁ בַּעֲדָתָם לֶהָבָה תְּלַהֵט רְשָׁעִֽים׃ vativear-esh baadatam lehavah telahet reshaimAnd a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked. יט19 יַעֲשׂוּ־עֵגֶל בְּחֹרֵב וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲווּ לְמַסֵּכָֽה׃ yaasu-egel bechorev vayishetachavu lemasekhahThey made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped a molten image. כ20 וַיָּמִירוּ אֶת־כְּבוֹדָם בְּתַבְנִית שׁוֹר אֹכֵל עֵֽשֶׂב׃ vayamiru et-kevodam betavnit shor okhel esevThus they exchanged their glory for the likeness of an ox that eateth grass. כא21 שָׁכְחוּ אֵל מוֹשִׁיעָם עֹשֶׂה גְדֹלוֹת בְּמִצְרָֽיִם׃ shakhchu el moshiyam oseh gedolot bemitzrayimThey forgot G-d their saviour, who had done great things in Egypt; כב22 נִפְלָאוֹת בְּאֶרֶץ חָם נוֹרָאוֹת עַל־יַם־סֽוּף׃ niflaot beeretz cham noraot al-yam-sufWondrous works in the land of Ham, terrible things by the Red Sea. כג23 וַיֹּאמֶר לְֽהַשְׁמִידָם לוּלֵי מֹשֶׁה בְחִירוֹ עָמַד בַּפֶּרֶץ לְפָנָיו לְהָשִׁיב חֲמָתוֹ מֵֽהַשְׁחִֽית׃ vayomer lehashmidam lulei mosheh vechiro amad baperetz lefanayv lehashiv chamato mehashchitTherefore He said that He would destroy them, had not Moses His chosen stood before Him in the breach, to turn back His wrath, lest He should destroy them. כד24 וַֽיִּמְאֲסוּ בְּאֶרֶץ חֶמְדָּה לֹֽא־הֶאֱמִינוּ לִדְבָרֽוֹ׃ vayimeasu beeretz chemdah lo-heeminu lidvaroMoreover, they scorned the desirable land, they believed not His word; כה25 וַיֵּרָגְנוּ בְאָהֳלֵיהֶם לֹא שָׁמְעוּ בְּקוֹל יְהוָֽה׃ vayeragnu veaholeihem lo shamu bekol AdonaiAnd they murmured in their tents, they hearkened not unto the voice of HaShem. כו26 וַיִּשָּׂא יָדוֹ לָהֶם לְהַפִּיל אוֹתָם בַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃ vayisa yado lahem lehapil otam bamidebarTherefore He swore concerning them, that He would overthrow them in the wilderness; כז27 וּלְהַפִּיל זַרְעָם בַּגּוֹיִם וּלְזָרוֹתָם בָּאֲרָצֽוֹת׃ ulhapil zaram bagoyim ulzarotam baaratzotAnd that He would cast out their seed among the nations, and scatter them in the lands. כח28 וַיִּצָּמְדוּ לְבַעַל פְּעוֹר וַיֹּאכְלוּ זִבְחֵי מֵתִֽים׃ vayitzamedu levaal peor vayokhlu zivchei metimThey joined themselves also unto Baal of Peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead. כט29 וַיַּכְעִיסוּ בְּמַֽעַלְלֵיהֶם וַתִּפְרָץ־בָּם מַגֵּפָֽה׃ vayakheisu bemaalleihem vatiferatz-bam magefahThus they provoked Him with their doings, and the plague broke in upon them. ל30 וַיַּעֲמֹד פִּֽינְחָס וַיְפַלֵּל וַתֵּעָצַר הַמַּגֵּפָֽה׃ vayaamod pinchas vayfalel vateatzar hamagefahThen stood up Phinehas, and wrought judgment, and so the plague was stayed. לא31 וַתֵּחָשֶׁב לוֹ לִצְדָקָה לְדֹר וָדֹר עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ vatechashev lo litzdakah ledor vador ad-olamAnd that was counted unto him for righteousness, unto all generations for ever. לב32 וַיַּקְצִיפוּ עַל־מֵי מְרִיבָה וַיֵּרַע לְמֹשֶׁה בַּעֲבוּרָֽם׃ vayaketzifu al-mei merivah vayera lemosheh baavuramThey angered Him also at the waters of Meribah, and it went ill with Moses because of them; לג33 כִּֽי־הִמְרוּ אֶת־רוּחוֹ וַיְבַטֵּא בִּשְׂפָתָֽיו׃ ki-himru et-rucho vayvate bisefatayvFor they embittered his spirit, and he spoke rashly with his lips. לד34 לֹֽא־הִשְׁמִידוּ אֶת־הָֽעַמִּים אֲשֶׁר אָמַר יְיָ לָהֶֽם׃ lo-hishmidu et-haamim asher amar Adonai lahemThey did not destroy the peoples, as HaShem commanded them; לה35 וַיִּתְעָרְבוּ בַגּוֹיִם וַֽיִּלְמְדוּ מַֽעֲשֵׂיהֶֽם׃ vayitearvu vagoyim vayilemdu maaseihemBut mingled themselves with the nations, and learned their works; לו36 וַיַּעַבְדוּ אֶת־עֲצַבֵּיהֶם וַיִּהְיוּ לָהֶם לְמוֹקֵֽשׁ׃ vayaavdu et-atzabeihem vayiheyu lahem lemokeshAnd they served their idols, which became a snare unto them; לז37 וַיִּזְבְּחוּ אֶת־בְּנֵיהֶם וְאֶת־בְּנֽוֹתֵיהֶם לַשֵּֽׁדִים׃ vayizebchu et-beneihem veet-benoteihem lashedimYea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto demons, לח38 וַיִּֽשְׁפְּכוּ דָם נָקִי דַּם־בְּנֵיהֶם וּֽבְנוֹתֵיהֶם אֲשֶׁר זִבְּחוּ לַעֲצַבֵּי כְנָעַן וַתֶּחֱנַף הָאָרֶץ בַּדָּמִֽים׃ vayishepkhu dam naki dam-beneihem uvnoteihem asher zibchu laatzabei khenaan vatechenaf haaretz badamimAnd shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with blood. לט39 וַיִּטְמְאוּ בְמַעֲשֵׂיהֶם וַיִּזְנוּ בְּמַֽעַלְלֵיהֶֽם׃ vayitemu vemaaseihem vayizenu bemaalleihemThus were they defiled with their works, and went astray in their doings. מ40 וַיִּֽחַר־אַף יְיָ בְּעַמּוֹ וַיְתָעֵב אֶת־נַחֲלָתֽוֹ׃ vayichar-af Adonai beamo vaytaev et-nachalatoTherefore was the wrath of HaShem kindled against His people, and He abhorred His inheritance. מא41 וַיִּתְּנֵם בְּיַד־גּוֹיִם וַֽיִּמְשְׁלוּ בָהֶם שֹׂנְאֵיהֶֽם׃ vayitenem beyad-goyim vayimeshlu vahem soneihemAnd He gave them into the hand of the nations; and they that hated them ruled over them. מב42 וַיִּלְחָצוּם אוֹיְבֵיהֶם וַיִּכָּנְעוּ תַּחַת יָדָֽם׃ vayilechatzum oyveihem vayikaneu tachat yadamTheir enemies also oppressed them, and they were subdued under their hand. מג43 פְּעָמִים רַבּוֹת יַצִּילֵם וְהֵמָּה יַמְרוּ בַעֲצָתָם וַיָּמֹכּוּ בַּעֲוֺנָֽם׃ peamim rabot yatzilem vehemah yamru vaatzatam vayamoku baaonamMany times did He deliver them; but they were rebellious in their counsel, and sank low through their iniquity. מד44 וַיַּרְא בַּצַּר לָהֶם בְּשָׁמְעוֹ אֶת־רִנָּתָֽם׃ vayare batzar lahem beshamo et-rinatamNevertheless He looked upon their distress, when He heard their cry; מה45 וַיִּזְכֹּר לָהֶם בְּרִיתוֹ וַיִּנָּחֵם כְּרֹב חסדו׃ vayizekor lahem berito vayinachem kerov chsdvAnd He remembered for them His covenant, and repented according to the multitude of His mercies. מו46 וַיִּתֵּן אוֹתָם לְרַחֲמִים לִפְנֵי כָּל־שׁוֹבֵיהֶֽם׃ vayiten otam lerachamim lifnei kal-shoveihemHe made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captive. מז47 הוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ ׀ יְיָ אֱלֹהֵינוּ וְקַבְּצֵנוּ מִֽן־הַגּוֹיִם לְהֹדוֹת לְשֵׁם קָדְשֶׁךָ לְהִשְׁתַּבֵּחַ בִּתְהִלָּתֶֽךָ׃ hoshiyenu ׀ Adonai eloheinu vekabtzenu min-hagoyim lehodot leshem kadshekha lehishtabecha bitehilatekhaSave us, O HaShem our G-d, and gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks unto Thy holy name, that we may triumph in Thy praise. מח48 בָּרוּךְ־יְיָ אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מִן־הָעוֹלָם ׀ וְעַד הָעוֹלָם וְאָמַר כָּל־הָעָם אָמֵן הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃ barukh-Adonai Elohei yisrael min-haolam ׀ vead haolam veamar kal-haam amen hallu-yahBlessed be HaShem, the G-d of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting, and let all the people say: 'Amen.'
