א1 שִׁגָּיוֹן לְדָוִד אֲשֶׁר־שָׁר לַיהוָה עַל־דִּבְרֵי־כוּשׁ בֶּן־יְמִינִֽי׃ shigayon ledavid asher-shar layhvah al-diverei-khush ben-yeminiShiggaion of David, which he sang unto HaShem, concerning Cush a Benjamite. ב2 יְיָ אֱלֹהַי בְּךָ חָסִיתִי הוֹשִׁיעֵנִי מִכָּל־רֹדְפַי וְהַצִּילֵֽנִי׃ Adonai elohay bekha chasiti hoshiyeni mikal-rodfay vehatzileniO HaShem my G-d, in Thee have I taken refuge; save me from all them that pursue me, and deliver me; ג3 פֶּן־יִטְרֹף כְּאַרְיֵה נַפְשִׁי פֹּרֵק וְאֵין מַצִּֽיל׃ pen-yitrof kearyeh nafshi porek veein matzilLest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver. ד4 יְיָ אֱלֹהַי אִם־עָשִׂיתִי זֹאת אִֽם־יֶשׁ־עָוֶל בְּכַפָּֽי׃ Adonai elohay im-asiti zot im-yesh-avel bekhapayO HaShem my G-d, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands; ה5 אִם־גָּמַלְתִּי שֽׁוֹלְמִי רָע וָאֲחַלְּצָה צוֹרְרִי רֵיקָֽם׃ im-gamalti sholmi ra vaachaltzah tzorri reikamIf I have requited him that did evil unto me, or spoiled mine adversary unto emptiness; ו6 יִֽרַדֹּף אוֹיֵב ׀ נַפְשִׁי וְיַשֵּׂג וְיִרְמֹס לָאָרֶץ חַיָּי וּכְבוֹדִי ׀ לֶעָפָר יַשְׁכֵּן סֶֽלָה׃ yiradof oyev ׀ nafshi veyaseg veyirmos laaretz chayay ukhvodi ׀ leafar yashken selahLet the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it, and tread my life down to the earth; yea, let him lay my glory in the dust. Selah ז7 קוּמָה יְיָ ׀ בְּאַפֶּךָ הִנָּשֵׂא בְּעַבְרוֹת צוֹרְרָי וְעוּרָה אֵלַי מִשְׁפָּט צִוִּֽיתָ׃ kumah Adonai ׀ beapekha hinase beavrot tzorray veurah elay mishpat tzivitaArise, O HaShem, in Thine anger, lift up Thyself in indignation against mine adversaries; yea, awake for me at the judgment which Thou hast commanded. ח8 וַעֲדַת לְאֻמִּים תְּסוֹבְבֶךָּ וְעָלֶיהָ לַמָּרוֹם שֽׁוּבָה׃ vaadat leumim tesovveka vealeiha lamarom shuvahAnd let the congregation of the peoples compass Thee about, and over them return Thou on high. ט9 יְיָ יָדִין עַמִּים שָׁפְטֵנִי יְיָ כְּצִדְקִי וּכְתֻמִּי עָלָֽי׃ Adonai yadin amim shafteni Adonai ketzidki ukhtumi alayO HaShem, who ministerest judgment to the peoples, judge me, O HaShem, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me. י10 יִגְמָר־נָא רַע ׀ רְשָׁעִים וּתְכוֹנֵן צַדִּיק וּבֹחֵן לִבּוֹת וּכְלָיוֹת אֱלֹהִים צַדִּֽיק׃ yigmar-na ra ׀ reshaim utkhonen tzadik uvochen libot ukhlayot Elohim tzadikOh that a full measure of evil might come upon the wicked, and that Thou wouldest establish the righteous; for the righteous G-d trieth the heart and reins. יא11 מָֽגִנִּי עַל־אֱלֹהִים מוֹשִׁיעַ יִשְׁרֵי־לֵֽב׃ magini al-Elohim moshiya yishrei-levMy shield is with G-d, who saveth the upright in heart. יב12 אֱלֹהִים שׁוֹפֵט צַדִּיק וְאֵל זֹעֵם בְּכָל־יֽוֹם׃ Elohim shofet tzadik veel zoem bekhal-yomG-d is a righteous judge, yea, a G-d that hath indignation every day: יג13 אִם־לֹא יָשׁוּב חַרְבּוֹ יִלְטוֹשׁ קַשְׁתּוֹ דָרַךְ וַֽיְכוֹנְנֶֽהָ׃ im-lo yashuv charbo yiltosh kashto darakh vaykhonnehaIf a man turn not, He will whet His sword, He hath bent His bow, and made it ready; יד14 וְלוֹ הֵכִין כְּלֵי־מָוֶת חִצָּיו לְֽדֹלְקִים יִפְעָֽל׃ velo hekhin kelei-mavet chitzayv ledolkim yifalHe hath also prepared for him the weapons of death, yea, His arrows which He made sharp. טו15 הִנֵּה יְחַבֶּל־אָוֶן וְהָרָה עָמָל וְיָלַד שָֽׁקֶר׃ hineh yechabel-aven veharah amal veyalad shakerBehold, he travaileth with iniquity; yea, he conceiveth mischief, and bringeth forth falsehood. טז16 בּוֹר כָּרָֽה וַֽיַּחְפְּרֵהוּ וַיִּפֹּל בְּשַׁחַת יִפְעָֽל׃ bor karah vayacheprehu vayipol beshachat yifalHe hath digged a pit, and hollowed it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made. יז17 יָשׁוּב עֲמָלוֹ בְרֹאשׁוֹ וְעַל קָדְקֳדוֹ חֲמָסוֹ יֵרֵֽד׃ yashuv amalo verosho veal kadkodo chamaso yeredHis mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violence shall come down upon his own pate. יח18 אוֹדֶה יְיָ כְּצִדְקוֹ וַאֲזַמְּרָה שֵֽׁם־יְיָ עֶלְיֽוֹן׃ odeh Adonai ketzidko vaazamrah shem-Adonai elyonI will give thanks unto HaShem according to His righteousness; and will sing praise to the name of HaShem Most High.
