א1 הַלְלוּ יָהּ ׀ אַשְׁרֵי־אִישׁ יָרֵא אֶת־יְיָ בְּמִצְוֺתָיו חָפֵץ מְאֹֽד׃ hallu yah ׀ ashrei-ish yare et-Adonai bemitzotayv chafetz meodHallelujah. Happy is the man that feareth HaShem, that delighteth greatly in His commandments. ב2 גִּבּוֹר בָּאָרֶץ יִהְיֶה זַרְעוֹ דּוֹר יְשָׁרִים יְבֹרָֽךְ׃ gibor baaretz yihyeh zaro dor yesharim yevorakhHis seed shall be mighty upon earth; the generation of the upright shall be blessed. ג3 הוֹן־וָעֹשֶׁר בְּבֵיתוֹ וְצִדְקָתוֹ עֹמֶדֶת לָעַֽד׃ hon-vaosher beveito vetzidkato omedet laadWealth and riches are in his house; and his merit endureth for ever. ד4 זָרַח בַּחֹשֶׁךְ אוֹר לַיְשָׁרִים חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם וְצַדִּֽיק׃ zarach bachoshekh or laysharim chanun verachum vetzadikUnto the upright He shineth as a light in the darkness, gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. ה5 טֽוֹב־אִישׁ חוֹנֵן וּמַלְוֶה יְכַלְכֵּל דְּבָרָיו בְּמִשְׁפָּֽט׃ tov-ish chonen umalveh yekhalkel devarayv bemishpatWell is it with the man that dealeth graciously and lendeth, that ordereth his affairs rightfully. ו6 כִּֽי־לְעוֹלָם לֹא־יִמּוֹט לְזֵכֶר עוֹלָם יִהְיֶה צַדִּֽיק׃ ki-leolam lo-yimot lezekher olam yihyeh tzadikFor he shall never be moved; the righteous shall be had in everlasting remembrance. ז7 מִשְּׁמוּעָה רָעָה לֹא יִירָא נָכוֹן לִבּוֹ בָּטֻחַ בַּיהוָֽה׃ mishmuah raah lo yira nakhon libo batucha bayhvahHe shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is stedfast, trusting in HaShem. ח8 סָמוּךְ לִבּוֹ לֹא יִירָא עַד אֲשֶׁר־יִרְאֶה בְצָרָֽיו׃ samukh libo lo yira ad asher-yireh vetzarayvHis heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he gaze upon his adversaries. ט9 פִּזַּר ׀ נָתַן לָאֶבְיוֹנִים צִדְקָתוֹ עֹמֶדֶת לָעַד קַרְנוֹ תָּרוּם בְּכָבֽוֹד׃ pizar ׀ natan laevyonim tzidkato omedet laad karno tarum bekhavodHe hath scattered abroad, he hath given to the needy; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted in honour. י10 רָשָׁע יִרְאֶה ׀ וְכָעָס שִׁנָּיו יַחֲרֹק וְנָמָס תַּאֲוַת רְשָׁעִים תֹּאבֵֽד׃ rasha yireh ׀ vekhaas shinayv yacharok venamas taavat reshaim tovedThe wicked shall see it, and be vexed; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away; the desire of the wicked shall perish.
