א1 שִׁיר הַֽמַּעֲלוֹת אֶל־יְיָ בַּצָּרָתָה לִּי קָרָאתִי וַֽיַּעֲנֵֽנִי׃ shir hamaalot el-Adonai batzaratah li karati vayaaneniA Song of Ascents. In my distress I called unto HaShem, and He answered me. ב2 יְֽהוָה הַצִּילָה נַפְשִׁי מִשְּׂפַת־שֶׁקֶר מִלָּשׁוֹן רְמִיָּֽה׃ Adonai hatzilah nafshi misfat-sheker milashon remiyahO HaShem, deliver my soul from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue. ג3 מַה־יִּתֵּן לְךָ וּמַה־יֹּסִיף לָךְ לָשׁוֹן רְמִיָּֽה׃ mah-yiten lekha umah-yosif lakh lashon remiyahWhat shall be given unto thee, and what shall be done more unto thee, thou deceitful tongue? ד4 חִצֵּי גִבּוֹר שְׁנוּנִים עִם גַּחֲלֵי רְתָמִֽים׃ chitzei gibor shenunim im gachalei retamimSharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of broom. ה5 אֽוֹיָה־לִי כִּי־גַרְתִּי מֶשֶׁךְ שָׁכַנְתִּי עִֽם־אָהֳלֵי קֵדָֽר׃ oyah-li ki-garti meshekh shakhanti im-aholei kedarWoe is me, that I sojourn with Meshech, that I dwell beside the tents of Kedar! ו6 רַבַּת שָֽׁכְנָה־לָּהּ נַפְשִׁי עִם שׂוֹנֵא שָׁלֽוֹם׃ rabat shakhnah-lah nafshi im sone shalomMy soul hath full long had her dwelling with him that hateth peace. ז7 אֲֽנִי־שָׁלוֹם וְכִי אֲדַבֵּר הֵמָּה לַמִּלְחָמָֽה׃ ani-shalom vekhi adaber hemah lamilechamahI am all peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
פרק קכ״אPsalm 121
א1 שִׁיר לַֽמַּעֲלוֹת אֶשָּׂא עֵינַי אֶל־הֶהָרִים מֵאַיִן יָבֹא עֶזְרִֽי׃ shir lamaalot esa einay el-heharim meayin yavo ezriA Song of Ascents. I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: from whence shall my help come? ב2 עֶזְרִי מֵעִם יְיָ עֹשֵׂה שָׁמַיִם וָאָֽרֶץ׃ ezri meim Adonai oseh shamayim vaaretzMy help cometh from HaShem, who made heaven and earth. ג3 אַל־יִתֵּן לַמּוֹט רַגְלֶךָ אַל־יָנוּם שֹֽׁמְרֶֽךָ׃ al-yiten lamot raglekha al-yanum shomrekhaHe will not suffer thy foot to be moved; He that keepeth thee will not slumber. ד4 הִנֵּה לֹֽא־יָנוּם וְלֹא יִישָׁן שׁוֹמֵר יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ hineh lo-yanum velo yishan shomer yisraelBehold, He that keepeth Israel doth neither slumber nor sleep. ה5 יְיָ שֹׁמְרֶךָ יְיָ צִלְּךָ עַל־יַד יְמִינֶֽךָ׃ Adonai shomrekha Adonai tzilkha al-yad yeminekhaHaShem is thy keeper; HaShem is thy shade upon thy right hand. ו6 יוֹמָם הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ לֹֽא־יַכֶּכָּה וְיָרֵחַ בַּלָּֽיְלָה׃ yomam hashemesh lo-yakekah veyarecha balayelahThe sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. ז7 יְֽהוָה יִשְׁמָרְךָ מִכָּל־רָע יִשְׁמֹר אֶת־נַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃ Adonai yishmarkha mikal-ra yishmor et-nafshekhaHaShem shall keep thee from all evil; He shall keep thy soul. ח8 יְֽהוָה יִשְׁמָר־צֵאתְךָ וּבוֹאֶךָ מֵֽעַתָּה וְעַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ Adonai yishmar-tzetkha uvoekha meatah vead-olamHaShem shall guard thy going out and thy coming in, from this time forth and for ever.

א1 שִׁיר הַֽמַּעֲלוֹת לְדָוִד שָׂמַחְתִּי בְּאֹמְרִים לִי בֵּית יְיָ נֵלֵֽךְ׃ shir hamaalot ledavid samachti beomrim li beit Adonai nelekhA Song of Ascents; of David. I rejoiced when they said unto me: 'Let us go unto the house of HaShem.' ב2 עֹמְדוֹת הָיוּ רַגְלֵינוּ בִּשְׁעָרַיִךְ יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ omdot hayu ragleinu bishearayikh yerushalaimOur feet are standing within thy gates, O Jerusalem; ג3 יְרוּשָׁלִַם הַבְּנוּיָה כְּעִיר שֶׁחֻבְּרָה־לָּהּ יַחְדָּֽו׃ yerushalaim habnuyah keir shechubrah-lah yachdavJerusalem, that art builded as a city that is compact together; ד4 שֶׁשָּׁם עָלוּ שְׁבָטִים שִׁבְטֵי־יָהּ עֵדוּת לְיִשְׂרָאֵל לְהֹדוֹת לְשֵׁם יְהוָֽה׃ shesham alu shevatim shivtei-yah edut leyisrael lehodot leshem AdonaiWhither the tribes went up, even the tribes of HaShem, as a testimony unto Israel, to give thanks unto the name of HaShem. ה5 כִּי שָׁמָּה ׀ יָשְׁבוּ כִסְאוֹת לְמִשְׁפָּט כִּסְאוֹת לְבֵית דָּוִֽיד׃ ki shamah ׀ yashvu khisot lemishpat kiseot leveit davidFor there were set thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David. ו6 שַׁאֲלוּ שְׁלוֹם יְרוּשָׁלִָם יִשְׁלָיוּ אֹהֲבָֽיִךְ׃ shaalu shelom yerushalaim yishlayu ohavayikhPray for the peace of Jerusalem; may they prosper that love thee. ז7 יְהִֽי־שָׁלוֹם בְּחֵילֵךְ שַׁלְוָה בְּאַרְמְנוֹתָֽיִךְ׃ yehi-shalom becheilekh shalvah bearmnotayikhPeace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces. ח8 לְמַעַן אַחַי וְרֵעָי אֲדַבְּרָה־נָּא שָׁלוֹם בָּֽךְ׃ lemaan achay vereay adabrah-na shalom bakheFor my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say: 'Peace be within thee.' ט9 לְמַעַן בֵּית־יְיָ אֱלֹהֵינוּ אֲבַקְשָׁה טוֹב לָֽךְ׃ lemaan beit-Adonai eloheinu avakshah tov lakhFor the sake of the house of HaShem our G-d I will seek thy good.
פרק קכ״גPsalm 123
א1 שִׁיר הַֽמַּעֲלוֹת אֵלֶיךָ נָשָׂאתִי אֶת־עֵינַי הַיֹּשְׁבִי בַּשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ shir hamaalot eleikha nasati et-einay hayoshevi bashamayimA Song of Ascents. Unto Thee I lift up mine eyes, O Thou that art enthroned in the heavens. ב2 הִנֵּה כְעֵינֵי עֲבָדִים אֶל־יַד אֲֽדוֹנֵיהֶם כְּעֵינֵי שִׁפְחָה אֶל־יַד גְּבִרְתָּהּ כֵּן עֵינֵינוּ אֶל־יְיָ אֱלֹהֵינוּ עַד שֶׁיְּחָנֵּֽנוּ׃ hineh kheeinei avadim el-yad adoneihem keeinei shifchah el-yad gevirtah ken eineinu el-Adonai eloheinu ad sheichanenuBehold, as the eyes of servants unto the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes look unto HaShem our G-d, until He be gracious unto us. ג3 חָנֵּנוּ יְיָ חָנֵּנוּ כִּֽי־רַב שָׂבַעְנוּ בֽוּז׃ chanenu Adonai chanenu ki-rav savanu vuzBe gracious unto us, O HaShem, be gracious unto us; for we are full sated with contempt. ד4 רַבַּת שָֽׂבְעָה־לָּהּ נַפְשֵׁנוּ הַלַּעַג הַשַּׁאֲנַנִּים הַבּוּז לִגְאֵיוֹנִֽים׃ rabat savah-lah nafshenu halaag hashaananim habuz ligeyonimOur soul is full sated with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud oppressors.

א1 שִׁיר הַֽמַּעֲלוֹת לְדָוִד לוּלֵי יְיָ שֶׁהָיָה לָנוּ יֹֽאמַר־נָא יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ shir hamaalot ledavid lulei Adonai shehayah lanu yomar-na yisraelA Song of Ascents; of David. 'If it had not been HaShem who was for us', let Israel now say; ב2 לוּלֵי יְיָ שֶׁהָיָה לָנוּ בְּקוּם עָלֵינוּ אָדָֽם׃ lulei Adonai shehayah lanu bekum aleinu adam'If it had not been HaShem who was for us, when men rose up against us, ג3 אֲזַי חַיִּים בְּלָעוּנוּ בַּחֲרוֹת אַפָּם בָּֽנוּ׃ azay chayim belaunu bacharot apam banuThen they had swallowed us up alive, when their wrath was kindled against us; ד4 אֲזַי הַמַּיִם שְׁטָפוּנוּ נַחְלָה עָבַר עַל־נַפְשֵֽׁנוּ׃ azay hamayim shetafunu nachlah avar al-nafshenuThen the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul; ה5 אֲזַי עָבַר עַל־נַפְשֵׁנוּ הַמַּיִם הַזֵּֽידוֹנִֽים׃ azay avar al-nafshenu hamayim hazeidonimThen the proud waters had gone over our soul.' ו6 בָּרוּךְ יְיָ שֶׁלֹּא נְתָנָנוּ טֶרֶף לְשִׁנֵּיהֶֽם׃ barukh Adonai shelo netananu teref leshineihemBlessed be HaShem, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. ז7 נַפְשֵׁנוּ כְּצִפּוֹר נִמְלְטָה מִפַּח יוֹקְשִׁים הַפַּח נִשְׁבָּר וַאֲנַחְנוּ נִמְלָֽטְנוּ׃ nafshenu ketzipor nimltah mipach yokshim hapach nishbar vaanachnu nimlatnuOur soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we are escaped. ח8 עֶזְרֵנוּ בְּשֵׁם יְיָ עֹשֵׂה שָׁמַיִם וָאָֽרֶץ׃ ezrenu beshem Adonai oseh shamayim vaaretzOur help is in the name of HaShem, who made heaven and earth.
פרק קכ״הPsalm 125
א1 שִׁיר הַֽמַּעֲלוֹת הַבֹּטְחִים בַּיהוָה כְּֽהַר־צִיּוֹן לֹא־יִמּוֹט לְעוֹלָם יֵשֵֽׁב׃ shir hamaalot habotechim bayhvah kehar-tziyon lo-yimot leolam yeshevA Song of Ascents. They that trust in HaShem are as mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abideth for ever. ב2 יְֽרוּשָׁלִַם הָרִים סָבִיב לָהּ וַיהוָה סָבִיב לְעַמּוֹ מֵעַתָּה וְעַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ yerushalaim harim saviv lah vayhvah saviv leamo meatah vead-olamAs the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so HaShem is round about His people, from this time forth and for ever. ג3 כִּי לֹא יָנוּחַ שֵׁבֶט הָרֶשַׁע עַל גּוֹרַל הַֽצַּדִּיקִים לְמַעַן לֹא־יִשְׁלְחוּ הַצַּדִּיקִים בְּעַוְלָתָה יְדֵיהֶֽם׃ ki lo yanucha shevet haresha al goral hatzadikim lemaan lo-yishlchu hatzadikim beavlatah yedeihemFor the rod of wickedness shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; that the righteous put not forth their hands unto iniquity. ד4 הֵיטִיבָה יְיָ לַטּוֹבִים וְלִֽישָׁרִים בְּלִבּוֹתָֽם׃ heitivah Adonai latovim velisharim belibotamDo good, O HaShem, unto the good, and to them that are upright in their hearts. ה5 וְהַמַּטִּים עַֽקַלְקַלּוֹתָם יוֹלִיכֵם יְיָ אֶת־פֹּעֲלֵי הָאָוֶן שָׁלוֹם עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ vehamatim akalkalotam yolikhem Adonai et-poalei haaven shalom al-yisraelBut as for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, HaShem will lead them away with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.
פרק קכ״וPsalm 126
א1 שִׁיר הַֽמַּעֲלוֹת בְּשׁוּב יְיָ אֶת־שִׁיבַת צִיּוֹן הָיִינוּ כְּחֹלְמִֽים׃ shir hamaalot beshuv Adonai et-shivat tziyon hayinu kecholmimA Song of Ascents. When HaShem brought back those that returned to Zion, we were like unto them that dream. ב2 אָז יִמָּלֵא שְׂחוֹק פִּינוּ וּלְשׁוֹנֵנוּ רִנָּה אָז יֹאמְרוּ בַגּוֹיִם הִגְדִּיל יְיָ לַעֲשׂוֹת עִם־אֵֽלֶּה׃ az yimale sechok pinu ulshonenu rinah az yomru vagoyim higdil Adonai laasot im-elehThen was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing; then said they among the nations: 'The HaShem hath done great things with these.' ג3 הִגְדִּיל יְיָ לַעֲשׂוֹת עִמָּנוּ הָיִינוּ שְׂמֵחִֽים׃ higdil Adonai laasot imanu hayinu semechimHaShem hath done great things with us; we are rejoiced. ד4 שׁוּבָה יְיָ אֶת־שבותנו כַּאֲפִיקִים בַּנֶּֽגֶב׃ shuvah Adonai et-shvvtnv kaafikim banegevTurn our captivity, O HaShem, as the streams in the dry land. ה5 הַזֹּרְעִים בְּדִמְעָה בְּרִנָּה יִקְצֹֽרוּ׃ hazoreim bedimah berinah yiktzoruThey that sow in tears shall reap in joy. ו6 הָלוֹךְ יֵלֵךְ ׀ וּבָכֹה נֹשֵׂא מֶֽשֶׁךְ־הַזָּרַע בֹּֽא־יָבוֹא בְרִנָּה נֹשֵׂא אֲלֻמֹּתָֽיו׃ halokh yelekh ׀ uvakhoh nose meshekh-hazara bo-yavo verinah nose alumotayvThough he goeth on his way weeping that beareth the measure of seed, he shall come home with joy, bearing his sheaves.
פרק קכ״זPsalm 127
א1 שִׁיר הַֽמַּֽעֲלוֹת לִשְׁלֹמֹה אִם־יְיָ ׀ לֹא־יִבְנֶה בַיִת שָׁוְא ׀ עָמְלוּ בוֹנָיו בּוֹ אִם־יְיָ לֹֽא־יִשְׁמָר־עִיר שָׁוְא ׀ שָׁקַד שׁוֹמֵֽר׃ shir hamaalot lishlomoh im-Adonai ׀ lo-yivneh vayit shav ׀ amlu vonayv bo im-Adonai lo-yishmar-ir shav ׀ shakad shomerA Song of Ascents; of Solomon. Except HaShem build the house, they labour in vain that build it; except HaShem keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. ב2 שָׁוְא לָכֶם ׀ מַשְׁכִּימֵי קוּם מְאַֽחֲרֵי־שֶׁבֶת אֹכְלֵי לֶחֶם הָעֲצָבִים כֵּן יִתֵּן לִֽידִידוֹ שֵׁנָֽא׃ shav lakhem ׀ mashkimei kum meacharei-shevet okhlei lechem haatzavim ken yiten lidido shenaIt is vain for you that ye rise early, and sit up late, ye that eat the bread of toil; so He giveth unto His beloved in sleep. ג3 הִנֵּה נַחֲלַת יְיָ בָּנִים שָׂכָר פְּרִי הַבָּֽטֶן׃ hineh nachalat Adonai banim sakhar peri habatenLo, children are a heritage of HaShem; the fruit of the womb is a reward. ד4 כְּחִצִּים בְּיַד־גִּבּוֹר כֵּן בְּנֵי הַנְּעוּרִֽים׃ kechitzim beyad-gibor ken benei hanurimAs arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of one's youth. ה5 אַשְׁרֵי הַגֶּבֶר אֲשֶׁר מִלֵּא אֶת־אַשְׁפָּתוֹ מֵהֶם לֹֽא־יֵבֹשׁוּ כִּֽי־יְדַבְּרוּ אֶת־אוֹיְבִים בַּשָּֽׁעַר׃ ashrei hagever asher mile et-ashpato mehem lo-yevoshu ki-yedabru et-oyvim bashaarHappy is the man that hath his quiver full of them; they shall not be put to shame, when they speak with their enemies in the gate.
פרק קכ״חPsalm 128
א1 שִׁיר הַֽמַּעֲלוֹת אַשְׁרֵי כָּל־יְרֵא יְיָ הַהֹלֵךְ בִּדְרָכָֽיו׃ shir hamaalot ashrei kal-yere Adonai haholekh biderakhayvA Song of Ascents. Happy is every one that feareth HaShem, that walketh in His ways. ב2 יְגִיעַ כַּפֶּיךָ כִּי תֹאכֵל אַשְׁרֶיךָ וְטוֹב לָֽךְ׃ yegiya kapeikha ki tokhel ashreikha vetov lakhWhen thou eatest the labour of thy hands, happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee. ג3 אֶשְׁתְּךָ ׀ כְּגֶפֶן פֹּרִיָּה בְּיַרְכְּתֵי בֵיתֶךָ בָּנֶיךָ כִּשְׁתִלֵי זֵיתִים סָבִיב לְשֻׁלְחָנֶֽךָ׃ eshtkha ׀ kegefen poriyah beyarktei veitekha baneikha kishetilei zeitim saviv leshulchanekhaThy wife shall be as a fruitful vine, in the innermost parts of thy house; thy children like olive plants, round about thy table. ד4 הִנֵּה כִי־כֵן יְבֹרַךְ גָּבֶר יְרֵא יְהוָֽה׃ hineh khi-khen yevorakh gaver yere AdonaiBehold, surely thus shall the man be blessed that feareth HaShem. ה5 יְבָרֶכְךָ יְיָ מִצִּיּוֹן וּרְאֵה בְּטוּב יְרוּשָׁלִָם כֹּל יְמֵי חַיֶּֽיךָ׃ yevarekhkha Adonai mitziyon ureh betuv yerushalaim kol yemei chayeikhaHaShem bless thee out of Zion; and see thou the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life; ו6 וּרְאֵֽה־בָנִים לְבָנֶיךָ שָׁלוֹם עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ ureh-vanim levaneikha shalom al-yisraelAnd see thy children's children. Peace be upon Israel!
פרק קכ״טPsalm 129
א1 שִׁיר הַֽמַּעֲלוֹת רַבַּת צְרָרוּנִי מִנְּעוּרַי יֹֽאמַר־נָא יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ shir hamaalot rabat tzeraruni minuray yomar-na yisraelA Song of Ascents. 'Much have they afflicted me from my youth up', let Israel now say; ב2 רַבַּת צְרָרוּנִי מִנְּעוּרָי גַּם לֹא־יָכְלוּ לִֽי׃ rabat tzeraruni minuray gam lo-yakhlu li'Much have they afflicted me from my youth up; but they have not prevailed against me. ג3 עַל־גַּבִּי חָרְשׁוּ חֹרְשִׁים הֶאֱרִיכוּ למענותם׃ al-gabi charshu chorshim heerikhu lmnvtmThe plowers plowed upon my back; they made long their furrows. ד4 יְיָ צַדִּיק קִצֵּץ עֲבוֹת רְשָׁעִֽים׃ Adonai tzadik kitzetz avot reshaimHaShem is righteous; He hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.' ה5 יֵבֹשׁוּ וְיִסֹּגוּ אָחוֹר כֹּל שֹׂנְאֵי צִיּֽוֹן׃ yevoshu veyisogu achor kol sonei tziyonLet them be ashamed and turned backward, all they that hate Zion. ו6 יִהְיוּ כַּחֲצִיר גַּגּוֹת שֶׁקַּדְמַת שָׁלַף יָבֵֽשׁ׃ yihyu kachatzir gagot shekademat shalaf yaveshLet them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it springeth up; ז7 שֶׁלֹּא מִלֵּא כַפּוֹ קוֹצֵר וְחִצְנוֹ מְעַמֵּֽר׃ shelo mile khapo kotzer vechitzno meamerWherewith the reaper filleth not his hand, nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom. ח8 וְלֹא אָֽמְרוּ ׀ הָעֹבְרִים בִּרְכַּֽת־יְיָ אֲלֵיכֶם בֵּרַכְנוּ אֶתְכֶם בְּשֵׁם יְהוָֽה׃ velo amru ׀ haovrim birekat-Adonai aleikhem berakhnu etkhem beshem AdonaiNeither do they that go by say: 'The blessing of HaShem be upon you; we bless you in the name of HaShem.'

Out of the depths have I called Thee, O HaShem. ב2 אֲדֹנָי שִׁמְעָה בְקוֹלִי תִּהְיֶינָה אָזְנֶיךָ קַשֻּׁבוֹת לְקוֹל תַּחֲנוּנָֽי׃ Adonai shimah vekoli tiheyeinah azneikha kashuvot lekol tachanunayL-rd, hearken unto my voice; let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. ג3 אִם־עֲוֺנוֹת תִּשְׁמָר־יָהּ אֲדֹנָי מִי יַעֲמֹֽד׃ im-aonot tishemar-yah Adonai mi yaamodIf Thou, HaShem, shouldest mark iniquities, O L-rd, who could stand? ד4 כִּֽי־עִמְּךָ הַסְּלִיחָה לְמַעַן תִּוָּרֵֽא׃ ki-imkha haslichah lemaan tivareFor with Thee there is forgiveness, that Thou mayest be feared. ה5 קִוִּיתִי יְיָ קִוְּתָה נַפְשִׁי וְֽלִדְבָרוֹ הוֹחָֽלְתִּי׃ kiviti Adonai kivtah nafshi velidvaro hochaltiI wait for HaShem, my soul doth wait, and in His word do I hope. ו6 נַפְשִׁי לַֽאדֹנָי מִשֹּׁמְרִים לַבֹּקֶר שֹׁמְרִים לַבֹּֽקֶר׃ nafshi ladonay mishomerim laboker shomrim labokerMy soul waiteth for the L-rd, more than watchmen for the morning; yea, more than watchmen for the morning. ז7 יַחֵל יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל־יְיָ כִּֽי־עִם־יְיָ הַחֶסֶד וְהַרְבֵּה עִמּוֹ פְדֽוּת׃ yachel yisrael el-Adonai ki-im-Adonai hachesed veharbeh imo fedutO Israel, hope in HaShem; for with HaShem there is mercy, and with Him is plenteous redemption. ח8 וְהוּא יִפְדֶּה אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל מִכֹּל עֲוֺנֹתָֽיו׃ vehu yifdeh et-yisrael mikol aonotayvAnd He will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
פרק קל״אPsalm 131
א1 שִׁיר הַֽמַּֽעֲלוֹת לְדָוִד יְיָ ׀ לֹא־גָבַהּ לִבִּי וְלֹא־רָמוּ עֵינַי וְלֹֽא־הִלַּכְתִּי ׀ בִּגְדֹלוֹת וּבְנִפְלָאוֹת מִמֶּֽנִּי׃ shir hamaalot ledavid Adonai ׀ lo-gavah libi velo-ramu einay velo-hilakheti ׀ bigedolot uvniflaot mimeniA Song of Ascents; of David. HaShem, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty; neither do I exercise myself in things too great, or in things too wonderful for me. ב2 אִם־לֹא שִׁוִּיתִי ׀ וְדוֹמַמְתִּי נַפְשִׁי כְּגָמֻל עֲלֵי אִמּוֹ כַּגָּמֻל עָלַי נַפְשִֽׁי׃ im-lo shiviti ׀ vedomamti nafshi kegamul alei imo kagamul alay nafshiSurely I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother; my soul is with me like a weaned child. ג3 יַחֵל יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל־יְיָ מֵֽעַתָּה וְעַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ yachel yisrael el-Adonai meatah vead-olamO Israel, hope in HaShem from this time forth and for ever.

א1 שִׁיר הַֽמַּעֲלוֹת זְכוֹר־יְיָ לְדָוִד אֵת כָּל־עֻנּוֹתֽוֹ׃ shir hamaalot zekhor-Adonai ledavid et kal-unotoA Song of Ascents. HaShem, remember unto David all his affliction; ב2 אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּע לַיהוָה נָדַר לַאֲבִיר יַעֲקֹֽב׃ asher nishba layhvah nadar laavir yaakovHow he swore unto HaShem, and vowed unto the Mighty One of Jacob: ג3 אִם־אָבֹא בְּאֹהֶל בֵּיתִי אִם־אֶעֱלֶה עַל־עֶרֶשׂ יְצוּעָֽי׃ im-avo beohel beiti im-eeleh al-eres yetzuay'Surely I will not come into the tent of my house, nor go up into the bed that is spread for me; ד4 אִם־אֶתֵּן שְׁנַת לְעֵינָי לְֽעַפְעַפַּי תְּנוּמָֽה׃ im-eten shenat leeinay leafapay tenumahI will not give sleep to mine eyes, nor slumber to mine eyelids; ה5 עַד־אֶמְצָא מָקוֹם לַיהוָה מִשְׁכָּנוֹת לַאֲבִיר יַעֲקֹֽב׃ ad-emtza makom layhvah mishkanot laavir yaakovUntil I find out a place for HaShem, a dwelling-place for the Mighty One of Jacob.' ו6 הִנֵּֽה־שְׁמַֽעֲנוּהָ בְאֶפְרָתָה מְצָאנוּהָ בִּשְׂדֵי־יָֽעַר׃ hineh-shemaanuha veefratah metzanuha bisedei-yaarLo, we heard of it as being in Ephrath; we found it in the field of the wood. ז7 נָבוֹאָה לְמִשְׁכְּנוֹתָיו נִשְׁתַּחֲוֶה לַהֲדֹם רַגְלָֽיו׃ navoah lemishknotayv nishtachaveh lahadom raglayvLet us go into His dwelling-place; let us worship at His footstool. ח8 קוּמָה יְיָ לִמְנוּחָתֶךָ אַתָּה וַאֲרוֹן עֻזֶּֽךָ׃ kumah Adonai limnuchatekha atah vaaron uzekhaArise, O HaShem, unto Thy resting-place; Thou, and the ark of Thy strength. ט9 כֹּהֲנֶיךָ יִלְבְּשׁוּ־צֶדֶק וַחֲסִידֶיךָ יְרַנֵּֽנוּ׃ kohaneikha yilbshu-tzedek vachasideikha yeranenuLet Thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let Thy saints shout for joy. י10 בַּעֲבוּר דָּוִד עַבְדֶּךָ אַל־תָּשֵׁב פְּנֵי מְשִׁיחֶֽךָ׃ baavur david avdekha al-tashev penei meshichekhaFor Thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of Thine anointed. יא11 נִשְׁבַּֽע־יְיָ ׀ לְדָוִד אֱמֶת לֹֽא־יָשׁוּב מִמֶּנָּה מִפְּרִי בִטְנְךָ אָשִׁית לְכִסֵּא־לָֽךְ׃ nishba-Adonai ׀ ledavid emet lo-yashuv mimenah mipri vitnkha ashit lekhise-lakhHaShem swore unto David in truth; He will not turn back from it: 'Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne. יב12 אִֽם־יִשְׁמְרוּ בָנֶיךָ ׀ בְּרִיתִי וְעֵדֹתִי זוֹ אֲלַמְּדֵם גַּם־בְּנֵיהֶם עֲדֵי־עַד יֵשְׁבוּ לְכִסֵּא־לָֽךְ׃ im-yishmru vaneikha ׀ beriti veedoti zo alamdem gam-beneihem adei-ad yeshvu lekhise-lakhIf thy children keep My covenant and My testimony that I shall teach them, their children also for ever shall sit upon thy throne.' יג13 כִּֽי־בָחַר יְיָ בְּצִיּוֹן אִוָּהּ לְמוֹשָׁב לֽוֹ׃ ki-vachar Adonai betziyon ivah lemoshav loFor HaShem hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it for His habitation: יד14 זֹאת־מְנוּחָתִי עֲדֵי־עַד פֹּֽה־אֵשֵׁב כִּי אִוִּתִֽיהָ׃ zot-menuchati adei-ad poh-eshev ki ivitiha'This is My resting-place for ever; here will I dwell; for I have desired it. טו15 צֵידָהּ בָּרֵךְ אֲבָרֵךְ אֶבְיוֹנֶיהָ אַשְׂבִּיעַֽ לָֽחֶם׃ tzeidah barekh avarekh evyoneiha asbiya lachemI will abundantly bless her provision; I will give her needy bread in plenty. טז16 וְֽכֹהֲנֶיהָ אַלְבִּישׁ יֶשַׁע וַחֲסִידֶיהָ רַנֵּן יְרַנֵּֽנוּ׃ vekhohaneiha albish yesha vachasideiha ranen yeranenuHer priests also will I clothe with salvation; and her saints shall shout aloud for joy. יז17 שָׁם אַצְמִיחַ קֶרֶן לְדָוִד עָרַכְתִּי נֵר לִמְשִׁיחִֽי׃ sham atzmicha keren ledavid arakhti ner limshichiThere will I make a horn to shoot up unto David, there have I ordered a lamp for Mine anointed. יח18 אוֹיְבָיו אַלְבִּישׁ בֹּשֶׁת וְעָלָיו יָצִיץ נִזְרֽוֹ׃ oyvayv albish boshet vealayv yatzitz nizroHis enemies will I clothe with shame; but upon himself shall his crown shine.'
פרק קל״גPsalm 133
א1 שִׁיר הַֽמַּעֲלוֹת לְדָוִד הִנֵּה מַה־טּוֹב וּמַה־נָּעִים שֶׁבֶת אַחִים גַּם־יָֽחַד׃ shir hamaalot ledavid hineh mah-tov umah-naim shevet achim gam-yachadA Song of Ascents; of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! ב2 כַּשֶּׁמֶן הַטּוֹב ׀ עַל־הָרֹאשׁ יֹרֵד עַֽל־הַזָּקָן זְקַֽן־אַהֲרֹן שֶׁיֹּרֵד עַל־פִּי מִדּוֹתָֽיו׃ kashemen hatov ׀ al-harosh yored al-hazakan zekan-aharon sheyored al-pi midotayvIt is like the precious oil upon the head, coming down upon the beard; even Aaron's beard, that cometh down upon the collar of his garments; ג3 כְּטַל־חֶרְמוֹן שֶׁיֹּרֵד עַל־הַרְרֵי צִיּוֹן כִּי שָׁם ׀ צִוָּה יְיָ אֶת־הַבְּרָכָה חַיִּים עַד־הָעוֹלָֽם׃ ketal-chermon sheyored al-harrei tziyon ki sham ׀ tzivah Adonai et-habrakhah chayim ad-haolamLike the dew of Hermon, that cometh down upon the mountains of Zion; for there HaShem commanded the blessing, even life for ever.
פרק קל״דPsalm 134
א1 שִׁיר הַֽמַּעֲלוֹת הִנֵּה ׀ בָּרֲכוּ אֶת־יְיָ כָּל־עַבְדֵי יְיָ הָעֹמְדִים בְּבֵית־יְיָ בַּלֵּילֽוֹת׃ shir hamaalot hineh ׀ barakhu et-Adonai kal-avdei Adonai haomdim beveit-Adonai baleilotA Song of Ascents. Behold, bless ye HaShem, all ye servants of HaShem, that stand in the house of HaShem in the night seasons. ב2 שְׂאֽוּ־יְדֵכֶם קֹדֶשׁ וּבָרֲכוּ אֶת־יְהוָֽה׃ seu-yedekhem kodesh uvarakhu et-AdonaiLift up your hands to the sanctuary, and bless ye HaShem. ג3 יְבָרֶכְךָ יְיָ מִצִּיּוֹן עֹשֵׂה שָׁמַיִם וָאָֽרֶץ׃ yevarekhkha Adonai mitziyon oseh shamayim vaaretzHaShem bless thee out of Zion; even He that made heaven and earth.
